My partner & I had a lovely time- Pine lode was just as advertised and an absolute joy to stay in- spotlessly clean and an absolute pleasure to stay in to get away from city life, Best Regards Phil & Pam
We enjoyed our stay. The beautiful property is quiet and we were able to make our own meals. The location was perfect to visit Llantrisant, Cardiff, St Fagans, Pontypridd and The Big Pit. We will consider staying here again. Rita is a thorough and thoughtful host.
Tucked away in the Welsh hills but close to Cardiff and the sea if you want them. Tranquil but accessible. The lodge was clean, comfortable and well-equipped. Thank you Rita. A lovely few days break. X
This property is such cuteness overload everything feels like your in a dolls house and looks really welcoming and cosy and to top it up you wake up with the sound of welcoming birds songs and friendly duck. Amazingly quiet and the view is stunning. I felt good not having to rush in the morning due to Rita allowing us to take our time and leave when we were ready!! So yes, if you're looking for somewhere quiet relaxing, filled up with cuteness than this is the place for you! I'll definitely go there again.
I loved Goe peaceful snd quiet it was rhe other guests were so friendly to I loved hoe peaceful at might was to sleep and wake up to feed ducks see the horses and can come and fo as please especially late at night
The location was out of the way but close enough to a variety to places to visit.
I had a shock and panic when I received the email from Rita telling me about the electric meter but it worked out ok despite having phones n tablet to charge every day, cooking dinner every day and watching tv each evening I only put in £3 for the week. Less chinse would be good but there were no cobwebs or dust on any of it so don’t let it put you off.
We walked our socks off n had a great time, thank you.
Lovely Lodge in quiet tranquil setting, perfect base for attractions and sightseeing which was easy to find as leaflets left in Lodge to help decide on where to go. Lodge Manager very helpful and friendly.
This property was lovely, clean and comfortable. My wife and I stayed here for a week. The place is out in the welsh countryside and was very peaceful, we toured the area and had a very good rest.
The place was pretty easy to find with great instructions. I absolutely loved staying here. It was exactly what I was looking for. I originally booked 3 nights and ended up staying 4 nights. The lodge has everything that you need for your stay. It was so quiet. The internet was fantastic never failed. I had a visit from Ethel ( I named her ) the chicken. I really miss my chickens so that was a fantastic little visit especially as it was my birthday too. I’m planning on booking again and maybe staying longer this time. Rita was so lovely and very friendly. The electric meter never bothered me. I just kept adding £1/£2 when needed. I’m so looking forward to going back. Thank you so much and I hope you are pleased with how I left the lodge.
Lovely break away to Wales.
Pine Lodge was only used as our little base to stay as we ventured out every day. It was a welcoming place and having the friendly ducks and hens on our doorstep was an added bonus. The WiFi wasn't very good for us but as we wanted to get away from it all it wasn't a problem, being rural it was kind expected anyway.
Rita was lovely when we met her but otherwise you are left in total privacy which is nice.
Good value for money.
Pine lodge was the most beautiful little cabin, perfect size and very secluded. The bed was not too comfortable but apart from that everything else was perfect; facilities were great, electric was very economical and the private outdoor space was lovely too. Rita was an amazing host from start to finish, we’d absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat, thank you!
Me and my partner really enjoyed our stay at the cabin away from the hussle and bustle of life. The cabin was exactly how it is seen in the pictures, great value for money. We had some lovely Vsitors from the chickens from the farm. Rita's dog and there is a pond opposite the cabin with 4 little ducks who got exited every time we passed. This is exactly what you need for a relaxing Break. Thank you Rita for being a wonderful and so Welcoming.
The cottage is tired and needs fresh eyes. The shower is an electric shower that pumps out a trickle. Either boiling or freezing. We had to use jugs filled with water. The bed has seen better days. The waffle weave blankets and sheets were very very rough. We bought new sheets from Dunelm. No WIFI at all but there is internet at the owners cottage. They need to put a WIFI repeater in. I don't believe that the owners see the place with fresh eyes. The decor is early 70s. Little things like plugs next to the bed would be a nice touch. Spend £2000 on the cabin to sort the electricity out and the shower fixed, and it would be a great little getaway. The owner has responded harshly to similar complaints I've made. This basically means that they don't want to sort issues out. 50 meters of CAT5 cable and a wireless accesspoint would cost £100 and all of the cottages would have working WIFI.
The property was excellent, tastfully decorated, and with everything we needed to hand. The electricity meter used much less cash than we expected. The location was lovely - so quiet and peaceful. Highly recommended.
The cottage was beautiful and clean, everything you needed for your stay was there. It was perfect. Totally relaxed. Lodge owners really friendly. Beautiful surroundings
