Casa Foz sleeps 5. in a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom spacious, fully equipped modern house in the heart of Portugal's unspoilt and beautiful Silver Coast. The house is set in a quiet location close to local amenities and the lagoon/beach. The house has a large south facing terrace with brick BBQ, which, together with two of the bedrooms, have views over the lagoon and surrounding countryside.
The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, and as with the other two twin rooms, has fitted wardrobes and ample storage space. The large kitchen has everything you need for self catering. The house is in a condominium of four houses. The house has 2 small landscaped gardens. The house has central heating and is therefore ideal for exploring this beautiful region of Portugal off-season. Foz Do Arelho is 2 minutes walk. Golf nearby. The house is not suitable for more than 4 adults.

WiFi/Internet and Digital Television are provided.

Other information: The lagoon is 10 minutes walk, the beach 5 minutes further on. The lagoon provides safe bathing for children. It is also excellent for some watersports and fishing.
There are numerous cafes/restaurants along the lagoon and beach. Foz beach is a fantastic strip of fine golden sand. Other beaches such as Sao Martinho are 15 mins drive.

Foz Do Arelho village centre is 2 minutes walk. Foz is a village but has mini-market, bar/cafes, restaurants, health centre, tourist office, pharmacy, a bank and a fishing tackle shop.

The house remains cool in the summer, but central heating is available for low season use. The house is situated on a quiet road, and parking on it is very safe.
Praia D'El Rey and Golden Eagle golf courses are only 15/30 minutes drive. There are several courses nearer Lisbon 1 hour away

Accommodation: The house has beds and facilities for a maximum of 5 people only. The house itself does not contain a highchair, although there is a cot.

I've stayed previously. Enjoy the village and this property. Short walk to local store and restaurants. I get some steps in walking to the beach! Very relaxing. Any minor issues handled promptly.

The apartment was excellent. The weather factor was the only reason for not 5 stars, but it’s an exposed beach town. The apartment was Very spacious and the lani with bbq great. Local market and restaurants more than adequate. It’s a tremendous value, even more so when the weather cooperates. The local beach is very exposed and not for beginners. However the lagoon is shielded and has great beaches. The location allowed us to get to various ‘tourist spots’ quickly, Nazare, Peniche and Batalha to name a few. For families with children Peniche has a ton of surf schools on a huge beach. For us it was a great base to explore , return then relax on the big lani.

Belle semaine

Idéal pour un séjour en famille. Maison très vaste et lumineuse. Terrasse très agréable. Tout ce qu'il faut sur place pour passer un bon séjour. L'épicerie Mini Mercado Vincente, à 2 minutes à pieds, permet de trouver tout ce dont on a besoin et de découvrir des produits locaux. Bus à Caldas pour les trajets si besoin (Lisbonne, Nazaré...) Mer assez calme pour se baigner pendant notre séjour.

Schönes Haus, könnte besser ausgestattet sein!!!

Leider war das Haus nicht gut ausgestattet. Alles nur Geschirrreste, keine tiefen Teller zu kleine Töpfe und Pfannen. Für ein Haus das für 6 Personen gedacht ist nicht gut...keine Mülleimer in den Bädern. Einmal Toilettenpapier sollte auch vorhanden sein. Stuhlkissen kaputt und verschmutzt. Tischdecke mit Loch. So ein schönes Haus, aber leider sehr schlecht ausgestattet. Die hellhörigkeit in dem Haus ist leider auch grenzwertig...Schade!!!

Correcto pero mejorable

Buena casa pero con carencias tales como deficiente iluminación, ausencia de cosas necesarias ( toalleros en un baño, lavavajillas, batidora), y deficiente limpieza (moho en paredes). Con mas cuidado en los detalles y el mantenimiento mejoraría mucho. Sorprende que las instrucciones se faciliten en cinco idiomas y ninguno sea el español, aunque ello no nos ha generado ningún problema. El lugar, magnífico para unas vacaciones

Ein Haus wo man sich sehr schnell einlebt und genießt

Wir bedanken uns für die tollen und erholsamen Ferien in Foz do arelho. Das Haus war sehr gut ausgestattet (super Grill auf der Terrasse) und in der Nähe von Zentrum, in dem wir gerne die kleine Geschäfte besucht haben. Nach unseren Ausflügen in der Gegend haben wir die Ruhe auf der Terrasse genossen. Wir wären gerne länger in Ihrem schönen Haus geblieben! Mit freundlichen Grüßen Nathalie und Ihre Eltern Une Maison où il fait bon vivre! Maison de vacances très confortable, appréciée notamment pour sa grande Terrasse. Perfect holiday

We stayed at the house for 12 days in late July 2014, and thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Foz. The house is bigger than it looks in the photos, and had everything you need for a self-catering holiday. It was clean and well-presented. All the bedrooms are very spacious and the living area a great space, the kitchen is huge! We had three teenagers with us (two adults) it was a perfect size. We had an en-suite shower room and the teenagers shared the main bathroom. The owners had thoughtfully provided some beachware. We did not miss not having a pool at all as the beach is a short distance away, we drove most days and it was a quick 2 minutes, about 15 minutes walking. Each morning, we sat on the patio, basking in the warmth of the sun, enjoying breakfast whilst looking over the Lagoon. Each evening, we sat on the balcony, sipping wine, looking out over the village, before heading out to one of the excellent local restaurants. We particularly liked the food at the Tavola, and the both the food and view at the fish restaurant on the beach. There is easy access to the beach and countryside, and the local towns and sights were amazing. We recommend the Buddha Eden which is about 30 km south, with its landscaped gardens, lakes and incredible sculptures and monuments. The beaches at Baleal, Sao Martinho and Foz itself are amazing. The only negative was the weather, which was unusually cloudy for the time of year. This is Portugal at its best, far from the commercial and busy Algarve. Would certainly recommend the property and hope to return in the future.

Lovely house for our holiday.

A great "get away from it all" holiday.

The house was very clean, spacious and well equipped for a relaxing family holiday. It was quiet and peaceful with a couple of good restaurants within walking distance serving fantastic fish dishes. The sandy beach round the lagoon went on for miles and although there was a car park we walked as it was not that far. Access to the motorway was easy so we did a bit of travelling and exploring around the area. There are quite a few places round about to go and see. Generally a good relaxing holiday, voted a success by the family.
