About this property

Teagles Cottage - a delightful home from home in Stow-on-the-Wold

Teagles Cottage, located in the heart of picturesque Stow-on-the-Wold, has been beautifully renovated to create the perfect retreat for romantic breaks, walking holidays or group get-togethers. Constructed from traditional honey-coloured Cotswold stone dating back around 150 years, we believe the cottage originally started life as a barn. The owners have injected new life and incorporated contemporary features, including a large log burner, eye-catching oak, and nickel stair banisters, and cleverly designed under-eave bedroom wardrobes.

Step through the front door into the bright and airy hallway - a great place to hang coats, take off walking boots and relax after a day exploring the Cotswolds in this wonderfully welcoming, luxury holiday rental.

So much thought has been put into Teagles Cottage with nothing forgotten, making it a delightful Cotswold holiday home-from-home. From the thoughtful toiletries and chest of family games to the fully equipped kitchen and fantastic log burner it's not surprising that guests return year after year.

Amazing
Teagles Cottage was a absolutely amazing place to stay, we all loved it. It was spotless, had everything we wanted and more. Lindsay was a wonderful host, very easy to communicate with. The location was excellent. Absolutely enjoyed our time there, just wish we didn't live so far away because I would love to return one day and the welcome pack was a nice surprise.

Lovely cottage in an ideal location for holiday in the Cotswolds.
Teagles Cottage was very clean and felt very welcoming, warm and homely for our party of seven. All our needs had been catered for. It was only a step away from the shops, restaurants etc of the town which was very convenient but at the same time it was very quiet. It was in an ideal location for exploring the area. We had a wonderful time in a beautiful cottage.

Paul's 60th
We chose to celebrate my husband's 60th in this delightful and spacious property conveniently situated in the centre of Stow- on- the -Wold and it's amenities. This property is spacious and is equipped with everything and more than you would expect in your own home. The host was very accommodating, made sure we found the property and had settled in well. I very much recommend this property for family or group gatherings

Lovely Respite
This cottage was truly better than the pictures portray--very clean, tidy, well appointed and super comfortable. Right around the corner from many shops and restaurants. There was lenty of room for 4 adults, two teen girls and a two year old to amble about. The host was exceptionally communicative and helpful--very responsive. My only regret is not staying longer--we cannot wait to revisit!

Fantastic property
I'm simply echoing the rave reviews of everyone else, but Teagles truly is a magical little place. The house was immaculate, comfy, fully updated, and perfect for our family of five adults. With four bedrooms, three twin beds, and two King beds, the cottage comfortably sleeps seven. Lindsay was the best hostess: directions and check-in were easy and clear, wonderful communications, and the home is stocked with everything imaginable - including a bottle of milk, wine, crackers, and dessert. Traveling from the U.S., it helped enormously to have a washer and dryer and hair dryers at the house. The location couldn't be more perfect, on a side street just across from the historic Porch House pub and just a few steps down from StowTown Coffee, where we treated ourselves to the best coffee each morning. Stow-on-the-Wold is bustling with tourists during the day but is a quiet little town at night, so even with the windows open at night, it always was quiet and peaceful. Plus, Stow was the perfect town to operate as a home base for touring the rest of The Cotswolds. 10/10 recommend.

Wonderful cottage in excellent location
Excellent location, lovely cottage, wonderful & warm hospitality from owner. The cottage is located right off the main street in Stow-in-Wold, making it easily walkable to all of the wonderful restaurants and shops in the village. We had a great stay and would recommend to others looking to stay in a central location in the Cotswolds.

Perfection in Stow
Four ladies were looking for a charming cottage to consider home while exploring the Cotswolds. Teagles Cottage was perfect for us. The location was great. We walked, ate, explored, and shopped through Stow. We drove to Oxford, Bourton-on-the- Water, Broadway, and other Cotswold towns. In four nights we covered a lot of territory and also had time to relax and enjoy the cottage. The cottage itself fit perfectly for our needs. All four of us loved this cottage. The amenities and decorations made it a home away from home. A lot of thought was put in to providing a great rental by the owners and it showed. I would highly recommend Teagles Cottage for a stay in the Cotswolds!

A long weekend with family.
As a family group of seven we had a lovely stay in Teagles Cottage over Easter weekend. The cottage was just as described and was wonderful in every way. The kitchen was very well stocked with plenty of crockery, glasses etc. We were provided with a lovely welcome pack. The owner was in touch before we arrived and was very helpful. I would definitely recommend Teagles Cottage to anyone looking to stay in the Cotswolds.

Cosy weekend at Teagles Cottage
This was our second girls weekend at Teagles Cottage. We loved it so much last year that we decided to go to back... it didn't disappoint. It is both beautifully decorated and spacious, it has really lovely bedrooms and a cosy living space. It is super clean and well looked after. The cottage is within easy reach of some great pubs, shops and cafes and Stow itself is a great place to visit. We cannot recommend this cottage enough.

Lovely cottage
We stayed at Teagles for a 60th birthday celebration with family. The cottage exceeded our expectations in every way. It was very comfortable, well equipped and cosy. The location was perfect, although it is in a quiet location in the centre of Stow so very convenient for shops, restaurants and cafes, it is also great for driving out to see the beautiful countryside, hiking and visiting other Cotswolds towns and villages. A perfect family weekend.

Fantastic home and location
We had a lovely time staying at Teagles Cottage! Our son has autism and Lindsay was so very helpful in making everything seamless, which helped him settle quickly. You'll want for nothing as all the essentials and more are provided for. The location is central to Stow and parking really handy. We were a party of four adults and one child, loads of space for us all in such a homely cottage. Thank you again for an amazing time!

Family Get Together
We all enjoyed our week stay at Teagles cottage. The cottage location was a superb base to visit some of the attractions on our list.Only one small negative comment we had from our son and his fiancée that the back bedroom lacked black out curtains leaving the room very bright in early morning .

Comfortable, homey, great location and amazing host
Our stay at Teagles Cottage was the highlight of our trip the UK. The location of the cottage is central in Stow-on-the-Wold. We loved the ability to easily walk to different restaurants, pubs and coffee shops every day. We could easily take beautiful drives through the Cotswolds and visit towns and sites nearby. We had another family with us, 2 infants, 1 4 year old and 4 adults in total and we were very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to make home cooked meals, and all of the rooms were cozy and comfortable. Our 4 year old wanted to stay there forever. The night before check out, our rental car broke down, and the host, Lindsay, was incredibly helpful in helping us find a solution to get to our next destination, and was flexible with our check out to make sure we weren't out on the street. We can't thank her enough. If you are thinking about staying in the Cotswolds, do not hesitate to rent this cottage. Cheers.

Cotswolds Escape
We wanted a location within walking distance of a village, shops, pubs - not rural. We also wanted convenient access to other areas of the Cotswolds. Our family has visited in this part of England many times and we were interested in exploring new things. The Farm shops were of particular interest. We just enjoy the scenery, the pace, the history and the natural beauty. Teagues cottage was ideally situated. It was spacious, comfortable and well-appointed. The entire stay -from booking to arriving to departure - was extremely effortless. We truly hated to leave.

Beautiful Property - Home from Home
We enjoyed an amazing stay at Teagles Cottage in Stow-on the Wold at the weekend. With 4 bedrooms (2 x king, 1 x twin and a single), 2 bathrooms and separate toilet downstairs there was ample of room for 6 of us to sleep. The lounge area was spacious and the kitchen had every utensil you could wish for! The property was spotless throughout and created a home from home environment. Teagles Cottage is literally on the doorstep of the main village where enjoyed visiting a couple of the local pubs and enjoyed a lovely meal at the local Indian restaurant. We all highly recommend this property, you will not be disappointed ☺

This is a very comfy house. So relaxing. Warm and well equipped. The beds were so comfortable. Everywhere was spotless. Was offered an early check in… which was great. The host checked we were all ok. Found this very reassuring. Third time visiting and would highly recommend.
