It wasn’t clean when we checked in. Very cold. The thermostat was locked and we could not adjust.
It was very upsetting. We travelled with a two year old and an infant of 10 weeks and the nights were very cold. We asked the owner if the temperature could be adjusted and she said it could not because it was on a pre-set setting. She said it was 18 degrees at night, but because the property is old and not insulated well, it was very cold. The temperature at night was not suitable for children. Also, when we first arrived, the property was very dirty. We spent our first night cleaning and washing the sheets. We were also given specific instructions on which trash bags to use, yet during our stay there was no mention that during the holidays the trash would not be pick up the specified morning. The first time we left the bags and had to pick the trash up because animals had gotten to it. If you are going to be specific on which bags to use, please give us a “heads-up” that the trash will be collected the next day for the duration of our stay. Also, there was no oven. The page lists kitchen, but does not mention the lack of an oven.
Overall, we were very disappointed with our stay here. We left one night early and if we could have left sooner we would have.
