Lovely house-pity about the parking
We had a pleasant stay. The house is spacious and comfortable. The decor is modern.Lovely bathroom. The main bedroom is a good size and bright. The beds are comfortable. It is a quiet street at night in spite of being close to the city. The house has plenty of room for four people. The cooking facilities are good and the dining table in the kitchen is useful.
The house was not quite warm enough ,but we were able to adjust the heating.Bedside lamps would be useful as would a light at the back door. Some of the furniture is a bit marked which might be from dogs sitting on the chairs ,but there are covers you can put on the seats !
There is a nice walk along the river for dogs.
The house is easy to find ,but it is difficult to park. The on street parking made it difficult to park as cars park on both sides of the street leaving just enough space for a car to pass down the middle ,but vans delivering are very close to the parked cars with only inches to spare.when we arrived as there is a school at the end of the road and when the school is coming out the road is very busy.As check in time is four o look you are trying to park at the busiest time as the rest of the time the street is quiet but very narrow and it is not a one way system .We had to wait a good ten minute before we could get down the street to park the car.Cars often have to reverse back when they encounter a car coming in the opposite direction.Once parked we we walked into the city every day.
We were very disappointed one morning to find our car ,which was parked within the bay ,had been hit by a vehicle and was damaged. This will be costly to repair. For this reason we would not stay here again which is a pity as the house was lovely.Perhaps safer to park in the nearest car park although you would have to pay, but it will be cheaper than repairing your car.
