The rivers Ennig and Ellywe run through the village, it is also home to the Pwllwrach Wood, said to bare a lake where witches were drowned. Talgarth has two gastro-pubs, a cafe and shops to enjoy at your lesure. The Tabernacle venue hosts many events, the village really does cater for everybody. The popular town of Builth Wells is within easy access and is certainly worth a visit, as is Llandrindod Wells slightly further north.
