About this property

Stunning views at the most convenient location on Dale Hallow. The house is directly across the lake from Sunset Marina. The Marina offers a boat ramp and slips and full restaurant, Bar and Ice Cream Shop. The Marina also offers ski boat, pontoon boat or jet ski rentals and much more! The beach and park areas are right next to the marina as well. Basketball courts, sand volleyball, walking paths and hiking trails are also nearby.

There is plenty of off street parking on the long double wide concrete driveway to the garage, wrap around deck w/ outdoor dining. The finished walkout basement doubles as the third living space and fourth bedroom. There is also a full size bed and daybed in the lower level.

This house is spotless from top to bottom and offers great amenities! WIFi for your logins for Netflix HULU Etc ( Smart TV)
a 65" TV on the main level. There is also a 55" LED TV on the lower level and 27" in Master. Foosball in the lower level and gaming shelf in laundry room. We hope this will become an annual vacation home for your family or group!

The location was magnificent with a beautiful home. The biggest concern is that it was not very clean at check in. Mouse droppings in drawers and basement had not been cleaned.

7th Annual Christmas In July

Our family has stayed at Best View on DH for the past 5 years! We love it! Lanny is great to work with and the house has everything we need! The location is great if you are using Sunset Marina! We always have a great time and we are looking forward to 2025!

Great Family Weekend

Thank you to the host. This is our annual lake trip. As our family grows each year it becomes more difficult to find a rental able to accommodate. This rental was perfect and a bonus being so close to Sunset Marina. Besides ourselves and food, we had everything we need for the weekend.

Mother in Law Get Together

We take our 84 year old mother in law to a place close to Byrdstown every year to see her sister and brothers. This was a great place for a large group.

Family Vacation

Very nice property. New deck as well we other upgrades. This is in a quiet area on Dale Hollow Lake. If you are looking for hustle and bustle, this is not it. If you are looking for relaxation, a great view and nice accommodations, this is the perfect spot. We enjoyed our time at this location (for the second year) and plan to return.

Christmas In July

This was our 4th year staying here for our family reunion! We had a great time and the property never disappoints! Love the upgrades done! The deck is just beautiful! This does have the best view of the lake! Looking forward to next year!!

Perfect getaway for large family

The house was perfect for our family of 10. Everything was clean and organized. Plenty of towels/sheets and the kitchen was a great size. The new deck and view was the best!

Beautiful setting.

Very nice house. Great view. Can see the marina. All trash had not been removed on arrival. Towels were still in both the washer and dryer. I think that this was one-time issue. We would go back to this location again.

We came from Louisville which was an hour ahead of this property so we went in an hour earlier than we were suppose to and Lenny was so nice about it. We hope to be able to rent this again next year.

Christmas In July

We have rented this property for our annual Christmas In July family reunion for the past 3 years! The view of the lake is beautiful from this location! The house is very spacious and holds our 12 member family perfectly! We already can’t wait for our trip next year!

The view of the sunset is spectacular! Lots of room in the house and on the property for the kids and adults to enjoy ourselves. Managememt was great to work with as well.

Best view on the lake

The house an grounds were spacious and well equipped, and had 2 living areas. The teenagers and younger had the lower level area while the young adults and older had the main floor for gathering. We all came together for meals and celebrations. We even had a piñata in the front yard.

Lovely Getaway

Amazing place with views and close to Sunset Marina

We absolutely loved this property. It was spacious with plenty of sleeping areas as noted. The kids mostly had the basement and adults the main floor. They loved that. The kitchen was great for cooking meals and the porches provided the most amazing views. It was about a 2 minute drive to the marina. It would have been nice to walk, but that seems unlikely at Dale Hollow lake with the steep mountains. We rented a boat for 3 days and enjoyed the water most of the time, but used the grill and appliances for evening meals. It wasn't nice enough for a fire, but I would recommend bigger benches to seat what the house holds. Dale Hollow Lake is stunning and we will be back!

We have come hear tent camping, motor homing, cabin rentals, and then a our dream come true , A Lake House - and not just any Lake house

Why they chose this property

This property because we admired it for years from the water from the moment it was constructed. Even kidding that there is our Lake house many years ago as we would boat by it. Then in 2014 my son and I made the investment in the Best View Ever on Dale Hollow Lake, come enjoy it with us.
