Great Break
We had a great week in Cornwall Sue’s home was homely, and had all the facilities and mod cons that you would want in a holiday home. I would highly recommend this cottage we will definitely be looking into coming back. The local pub is highly recommended for its food and locals who made us feel most welcome.

Perfect Cornish Cottage
Beautiful, quaint cottage with every convenience thought of. Comfortable, spotless, traditional building with modern decor. Lots of friendly locals, great village pub, close to beaches and places of interest. Comfy beds, great double shower, convenient utility area with downstairs loo. Overall we couldn't fault this cottage and we would stay again, especially as we could take our dogs with us. Car is essential- it takes 10 minutes to get to Port Isaac, 30 minutes to Rock or Padstow, 20 minutes to Wadebridge.

Beautifully renovated 2 bedroom cottage in a traditional Cornish village. We had a fantastic time lots of things to do within 30 minutes drive in any direction, returning back to a well equipped and restful base. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or hopefully stay again.

Absolute Gem
This was one of those rare occasions where the property was even better than hopes/expectations. The cottage has been finished to a high spec & the garden is a lovely place to be. To appreciate how much work has gone into this property, there is a highly recommended photographic record of its renovation sat amongst the books provided. Ideally situated for us in the peaceful village of St Teath, the cottage is well placed for visiting not only the north Cornish coast but also, being a short hop from the A39, proved to be handy for venturing further afield in the county. The village itself was wonderfully quiet all the time we were there, we had no issues parking & made use of the shop, pub & butchers. A real home from home with all the amenities & supplies to leave the beautifully finished property in the same immaculate condition you found it. We can only hope you enjoy your stay here as much as we did - & if you have a dog, it's a great place for them too!

Summer
Everything we needed was provided for in the cottage. If you don’t mind driving to most places then this is a really good place for you and your dogs to stay. But there is small store and a pub in very short walking distance. We would recommend staying at this place!

Quaint Cottage
The cottage was beautiful and well equipped with quality appliances. Very comfortable. Brilliant / quiet location for hopping on and off the A39 to beautiful places. Parking was absolutely fine always a little place to park up safely. The local cafe serves lovely breakfasts / lunches if you felt like having a rest day from travelling about and the local public house very friendly and traditional food ! Big portions!! Thank you to Sue Jones too the owner who always responded promptly if we needed to contact her.

Lovely cozy cottage
We had a very enjoyable stay at the cottage. The garden is beautiful and secure and the property is in a good location to explore the surrounding area. The kitchen is well equipped and modern and the shower in the bathroom is fabulous! The living room is comfortable however it did smell slightly musty when we arrived. The cottage is in a peaceful location however the only downside is it that it is opposite a church which tolls the bell for the hours 24 hours a day so all through the night. As it was warm when we were there we slept with the window open but found the chimes all night did wake me up and affect my sleep as I am a light sleeper.

A perfect home from home experience with everything you need and more. All facilities are excellent & so much on your doorstep within a 30 minute drive. Only complaint of a constant smell of damp & sometimes drains in the utility/kitchen area. However this would not stop us coming back!

A lovely cottage, exceptionally well maintained and furnished
An absolute gem of a holiday cottage. The garden was larger than expected and a relaxing sun trap. The standard and quality internally was fantastic. A lot of thought and pride in the property was very obvious. We would have no hesitation in recommending to friends and family.

Beautiful cottage
Just returned from a week's stay in Trevean. It's a beautiful cottage, everything is very high spec, Sue has thought of everything. Our dog had a great stay too and was particularly popular in the local pub. The week flew by and we were very sad to have to leave. We hope to be back very soon.

A lovely well equipped clean and comfortable cottage in a very nice village. The locals are very friendly and we had some really nice meals in the village pub. Perfect cottage, perfect holiday
I selected the cottage based on the reviews, among other things, and can say that everything said by other visitors is spot-on, and the praise truely deserved. For us, two friends preferring separate bedrooms, it was just the right size. We enjoyed cooking in the well equipped kitchen and having breakfast and dinner in the beautiful garden. We were lucky with the weather, but from the way it is equipped it must surely be a comfortable and warm place on rainy days and in other seasons, too. When we left I forgot to take a jacket I had hung up under the stairs. Sue contacted me on the same day and very kindly returned it by post straight away. Thank you! The location is perfect for exploring different parts of Cornwall and I would love to come back to Trevean for more!

Gorgeous place, lovely to return to every day
If, like me, you sometimes suspect that "cosy" might have negative connotations (could be small or gloomy or cramped) prepare to be impressed. This cottage managed to be cosy and light and modern and comfortable and traditional (and extremely well equipped) all at the same time. We loved our 1 week stay here in July 2018. Absolutely perfect (and room to spare) for my husband, I and our boxer dog. The weather was perfect to allow us to make a lot of use of the garden, the BBQ and the myriad garden furniture available. Great location in the village. close to everything St Teath has to offer, and also within North Cornwall - easy to drive to lots of different beaches and bays. Literally the only thing I could think that was missing was a full length mirror. I looked for one once but then realised I didn't really care :-). Such a well equipped property - Sue really has thought of everything. She even provided us with a taxi contact to take us and our dog to Port Isaac on our last evening for dinner and drinks. As much as we like to try different locations for our dog holidays we probably will return.

Welcoming, beautiful, peaceful.
The weather was really not very good at all, so it was a treat to stay in a cottage that was a holiday in itself. Everything you would want in your home, but better designed and in a prettier and more peaceful location. The loudest noise was the song thrush. Conveniently placed for the St Endellion music festival, beaches and cliff walks , and the Camel trail. We might have to come again...

Wonderful home away from home in a perfect location
We had a wonderful week at Trevean. The cottage has been beautifully restored and feels cosy and luxurious. It is equipped with everything you could need or want. We arrived to fresh scones, clotted cream and jam. Delicious! Our dog loved the house and safe garden. It is ideal for dogs and clearly owned by a dog lover who understands dog owners’ needs! All the information on the house and area provided was very comprehensive and useful and the communication with Sue, the owner, was great. Despite our stay being in the middle of the big freeze we could walk out to the pub, the shop and some local walks and were able to easily reach lots of lovely towns, villages and beautiful beaches. Would highly recommend. Thank you!

Something quite special
We stayed here in late December 2017 and can honestly say it is the best cottage we have stayed in. Absolutely everything has been thought of and I cannot think of one thing I would change. Sue is brilliant with her comms. Not only was the cottage warm and cosy but situated in a lovely village with a fantastic pub. We by our nature like to travel and for that reason have never been back to a cottage but we will definitely be back to Trevean

Everything you could wish for in a home away from home
This was one of the most comfortable cottages we have ever stayed in. It had absolutely everything you could wish for. Perfect enclosed garden for dogs, loveley outside seating area, warm water tap outside to wash those muddy paws and boots. Inside the cottage was fully equipped with all those homely touches, gorgeous lounge with log burner and fully equipped kitchen and utility area. The bedrooms were lovely with beautiful linen and the bathroom had a luxurious shower. All in all this was the best home away from home we have stayed in for a long time.

I am retired and live with my husband and our five dogs on a farm in Elstree, Hertfordshire. I worked as a PA in large law firms in the City of London for most of my working life but am now happily retired.

Why they chose this property

I have always loved North Cornwall and have often holidayed in Port Gaverne and when the chance came up of buying this cottage in St Teath I had no hesitation - even though it was falling down and in need of some serious tlc. Trevean has been completely gutted and renovated. The original slate floors were found under a thick layer of concrete and tar and the inglenook fireplace was uncovered behind a bricked in electric fire. I love this little cottage and hope you will do too.

What makes this property unique

The cottage has a lovely homely feel about it especially when the shutters are drawn, the fire lit and the candles on. It has been wonderful to see it come back to life again. I love sitting at the kitchen table working on my laptop and looking out at the garden through the big sash window. The far end is a "work in progress" so is fenced off at the moment but it is a haven for birds and wild life and dragons. The shallow pond is home to frogs and newts.
