About this property

Prestigious 70 sqm apartment, not far from the historic center but far from the noise of night clubs, totally renovated in late 2017 by a famous architecture studio in Palermo. It is noted for the modernity of the architecture, the originality of the ceilings with the singular and original different types of lighting and the prestige of the fixtures and furnishings (Garofoli doors, artisan kitchen, large closets for storing clothes). The apartment includes a kitchen, a living room with sofa bed and TV (55-inch Samsung 3D), a nice balcony with a small table and two Liberty-style chairs. . . for a breath of air !!! But the real gem are the two double bedrooms, each with its own delicious and original bath. Cleaning is one of the strengths of the apartment (see guest reviews). In the same building where the apartment is located there is also our home and this allows us to be constantly available to our guests for their requests (even for simple information and / or ... last minute needs. milk, water, coffee !!!).
The apartment is located a few meters from the central via Libertà, in the most elegant district (Libertà-Notarbartolo) of Palermo. There are shops and services of all kinds. One hundred meters away is the beautiful Villa Sperlinga - open 24 hours - with the former hunting lodge of the Whitaker family, now used as a drink and food venue open until late at night (see photo) and a playground for smaller (see photo). In the same villa on Saturday morning there is a traditional food market with typical Sicilian products (see photo). The apartment is particularly suitable for groups and families considering the number of beds available (4 + 2 in the comfortable sofa bed), the presence of the washing machine (7 kg) and the proximity of the playground inside the always open villa Sperlinga . Parking is available in front of the apartment with the payment of hourly tickets (purchased at the Tabacchi in front of the apartment), free from 20 to 8.00 and on Saturday afternoons and holidays. Free parking and paid parking garages are also available nearby.

Perfect for us

We enjoyed the separate bedrooms and baths. The kitchen served our meal prep well and the living room with large TV was comfortable. The washer was a big plus. We really loved the residential neighborhood with great pastry shops and restaurants nearby. The owners are kind and helpful. Also just a few short blocks to the bus stop on a main thoroughfare. We recommend this listing. Thanks again, Gennaro! PS The lift was a lifesaver after a long day of walking!

What a great find!

Gennaro is such a wonderful and responsive host who lives very close by in case of anything that may be needed. Our host provided a very tidy and clean apartment stocked with a large bottle of water, muffin snacks, and a jar full of coffee pods which made us feel so welcome. This area is within EASY walking distances to all manner of restaurants and bakeries, especially Costa ~ so yummy! Gennaro and his family gave us so much help in making suggestions and recommendations. Will book again next time we find ourselves in Palermo.

Great location for restaurants and transportation

We very much enjoyed our week stay. Our host was Very accommodating. The apartment was very clean and neat when we arrived. Having an elevator was important for our stay which this building offered. The bed and pillow were very comfy and the place was quiet. A small balcony with a washer which we did use made our trip easier. The train station was a 15 minute walk and 17 minutes to the central station and 45 minutes to the airport. The bus was a 10 minute walk and can be picked up to come to the apartment from the airport as well. Grocery stores were in walking distance and a morning cafe across the street. We took a bus to the airport and rented a car to go down south. I wouldn’t think of driving in the city as it is crazy. We highly recommend this apartment.

Excellent accommodation!

Our stay at Kosi was excellent and Gennaro was very helpful when we asked him questions. He even helped arrange a day trip to Trapani for us. I highly recommend this location - the bus is very accessible and it is a lovely neighborhood.

Excellent accommodation- perfect location

We can’t say enough good things about this accommodation. It exceeded our expectations. The apartment was beautiful, very comfortable and very well equipped. The hosts were so welcoming and extremely helpful. The location was ideal - just a short bus ride to the historic centre with buses every few minutes. The apartment took you away from the noise of the centre. Restaurants, pastry shops and grocery stores were but a few steps away from the apartment. Although we were only two, we appreciated the spaciousness of the apartment for our two week stay. This would be ideal for a family. Palermo is.an amazing city to visit with beaches so close by and gorgeous mountain scenery. We will certainly return and definitely want the same accommodation!

Wir sind als Reisender gekommen und gehen als Freunde! Cettina und Gennaro sind sehr nette Gastgeber. Die Wohnung liegt ruhig in eine Seitenstraße unweit von eine Bushaltestelle. Sehr sauber, bequem! Mehrere Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Coop, Famila 24 h, Bäckerei, Gemüsehändler. Eine Trattoria liegt gegenüber. Preiswert und gut. Wir sind sehr zufrieden!

Notre séjour dans l’appartement de Genarro a été excellent à tout point de vue : Genarro est un hôte génial, très gentil, à l’écoute et qui parle très bien français (et qui a eu de très gentilles attentions pour nous); l’appartement est très confortable, deux chambres bien séparées avec chacune une salle de bain, un lieu très calme, avec une climatisation excellente et des lits très confortables; le quartier est très agréable, nous avons pu nous garer juste devant, le parking ne coûte pas cher et les tickets s’achètent en face; il est très facile de rejoindre le centre avec le bus 101 et en voiture l’autoroute est a 10 mn. Je recommande très vivement !

First Trip to Sicily

This is a wonderful apartment to stay in while in Palermo. It is spacious and well laid our with individual bathrooms. The three of us truly enjoyed the apartment. Gennaro, his wife, and his sons were extremely friendly and helpful. We would love to come back to this unit again in the future.

Ottimo soggiorno a Palermo

Veramente non saprei cosa elogiare di più di questi 15 giorni d'agosto trascorsi a Palermo nell'appartamento di Gennaro : la cortesia e simpatia di Gennaro e della sua famiglia che ti accoglie offrendoti una brioche con il gelato e frutta fresca e acqua in frigo, l'appartamento veramente ben arredato, con aria condizionata in sala e nelle due camere da letto, la comodità (noi eravamo in quattro) di avere un bagno vicino ad ogni camera, la vicinanza alle fermate dei bus per il centro(101)e per Mondello (806)con passaggi frequenti, la vicinanza a pasticcerie da lasciarci la vista(pasticceria del presidente, pasticceria Costa),a panifici dall'indimenticabile profumo (Guccione) a rosticcerie che dichiaratamente a colpi di arancine e rosticceria siciliana fanno dimenticare i più ferrei propositi di mantenersi a dieta. Se amate come noi una vacanza di non solo mare, questo è un buon punto di partenza per uscite in giornata:Cefalù a un'ora e mezza di auto, Segesta a un'ora, Erice e le saline di Trapani a un'ora e mezza così come Marsala tappa obbligatoria per degustare il marsala delle cantine Florio. Noi abitiamo a Torino ma, per dirla alla Catarella di Camilleri, io ci andai di persona personalmente nell'appartamento di Gennaro e ve lo consiglio perché ci siamo trovati molto bene.

Un apartamento perfecto

El apartamento estaba impecablemente limpio y ordenado, las camas muy cómodas y todo muy acogedor. Perfecto. La atención y la amabilidad de los propietarios es magnífica, te facilitan todo lo necesario y se preocupan de que todo este a tu gusto. El entorno y el barrio muy tranquilos y llenos de servicios, supermercados, restaurantes, etc. A un minuto la parada de autobús para ir al centro o la Playa de Mondello. También es muy recomendable ir paseando hasta el centro por la bonita Avenida de la Libertad. Para nosotros el espacio ideal para residir un tiempo en Palermo, casi como unos vecinos más de la ciudad. Muy recomendable.

Absolutely Amazing! You can expect much more than you can imagine.

This was definitely one of the best stays of my entire life. From the moment we arrived at the apartment we felt as if we were part of their family. We were blown away with the neatness and attention to detail of the entire apartment. Gennaro and his family made us feel at home from the start and was always willing to give some advice on nearby attractions, restaurants & experiences. The even supplied us with extra coffee capsules once ours was finished. We definitely recommend their place to anyone looking to stay in Sicily. We will be visiting them again in the near future.

Il piu bellissimo apartamento e i piu gentili locatori in Sicilia

Non abiamo mai avuto i locatori cosi gentili, cordiali e accoglienti come Gennaro e la sua famiglia. E l'apartamento era il piu moderna, pulita, spaziosa e luminosa di nostro giro in Sicilia. Ogni detaglio fatto con affetto. Niente manca. Ci siamo sentiti magnificamente bene e sicuri. Il quartiere e ottimo. C'e tutto: supermercati, ristoranti, bar, tutto vicinissimo. C'e un autobus 101 nella Via della Liberta per il centro storico ogni 4 - 8 minuti. Il locatore aveva anche una grande sorpresa per noi: una torta di cassata siciliana al forno della pasticceria Costa, una delicatezza incredibile. Non abbiamo mai incontrato locatori cosi calorosi. Se torniamo a Palermo ci piacerebbe molto di affitare l'apartamento di Gennaro. Grazie molto a lui e a sua famiglia per tutto.

appartement excellemment situé pour visiter Palerme.

Très propre, bien conçue, calme et fonctionnelle, je recommande vivement cette location. Le propriétaire Gennaro est charmant. Des places de stationnement gratuites et sûres se trouvent à proximité. L’arrêt de bus est à 300 mètres. Bref de quoi passer un bon séjour. Gennaro, merci pour le joli bouquet de roses !

Che dire.... l'appartamento é in una zona residenziale molto accogliente e piena di servizi. le foto sono esaustive ma non rendono giustizia a questa abitazione curatissima nel design e nei particolari. Calda, accogliente, calda, corredata di tutto. ampie camere confortevolissime. I proprietari, Gennaro e Concetta, due persone squisite, pronte a farti sentire come a casa tua. Siamo stati benissimo. Consigliamo caldamente a chi vuole passare sia le vacanze sia a chi viaggia per lavoro.

The best experience for us

Kosie was everything we needed! We were just outside of the city center but more than close enough for walking. A neighbor in the building was renovating making for some loud banging and construction during the day, but that had nothing to do with the Kosie or the owners. The wifi worked well for catching a TV show or two from back home, but the signal faded out when in the back room. Wifi should be the least of any worries while visiting Palermo. Get out and enjoy the culture and great food. We were able to eat at several places within a block or two which included the grocery store two blocks away. Having a washing machine was super helpful though we did have to hang out the laundry to dry. Just plan ahead for the time to allow the clothes to dry and all is well. The lighting and layout of the apartment are great. Overall the Kosie is a great, clean place to stay while visiting Palermo. Hope to return soon.

Un bellissimo appartamento!

Un appartamento molto bello, completamente ristrutturato da pochissimo, ,realizzato con gusto con ampi spazi e con un impianto di illuminazione straordinario. Gli spazi ricavati sono realizzati per una ottima vivibilità, con un arredamento di buon livello e con una cucina ben attrezzata. La qualità della pulizia in tutta la casa è perfetta. Posizionato nel centro di Palermo in un quartiere di prestigio e tranquillissimo, vicinissimo a tutti i servizi raggiungibili a piedi nei dintorni. Nell’ area sottostante è possibile trovare spazi di parcheggio auto senza grande difficoltà o stress(di notte son gratuiti). Il centro storico, è raggiungibile a piedi in 30 minuti circa, oppure con mezzi pubblici; è preferibile utilizzare un taxi con un costo medio di 12/15 €. La gentilezza di Gennaro e Cettina che abitano nell’appartamento in fianco con i loro due ragazzi, completano un servizio di cortesia che va oltre i livelli standard per il quale li ringraziamo veramente. Ritorneremo sicuramente! Da raccomandare senza nessuna riserva.
