About this property
JORDAN HOUSE, pet friendly, country holiday cottage in Boscastle
This historic character cottage in picturesque Boscastle sleeps up to four people in two bedrooms.
Jordan House, a stylish semi-detached family home in the heart of the picturesque village of Boscastle. Filled with character and set over three levels, this historic property has a small enclosed courtyard garden to the front, from which there are long views over the valley beyond. Entering on the ground floor, the smart Shaker-style kitchen/dining room has a large pine table and chairs. The living room has big sofas and an open fire. From the hall, stairs lead to two bedrooms a double with TV, and a twin, both with views over the courtyard garden and the surrounding hills. The elegant family bathroom has a roll top bath and checkerboard floor. On the lower ground floor is a shower-room and useful utility room. From Jordan House, the historic harbour, Museum of Witchcraft and many interesting local potteries and art galleries are in walking distance. Much of the surrounding landscape and coastline is National Trust owned, scenery so impressive it is said to have been an inspiration to novelist Thomas Hardy.
Amenities: Central heating with open fire. Electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge, microwave. Washing machine. TV/DVD, WiFi. Bed linen and towels included free of charge. Parking is on a quiet road. Small gravelled garden with table, chairs and BBQ. One pet accepted. No smoking. Shop 1/2 mile. Pub 300 yards. Beach 2 miles.
Region: Cornwall's visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain's premier holiday destinations.
Town: A Cornish village, Boscastle has shops, restaurants and pubs serving food. Cliff tops, rocky coves, surf, open fields and wildlife fill the area. The coastal footpath passes through scenery whilst the beaches of Bossiney, Trebarwith Strand and Crackington Haven are within 5 miles. The surfing beaches at Bude and Polzeath are also accessible. Nearby is Tintagel, boasting stately homes and gardens, or the open space of Bodmin Moor, famous for its granite tors and Daphne Du Mauriers Jamaica Inn.
