Faraway Cottage is a ground floor retreat located in the hamlet of Kirklinton near the town of Longtown in Carlisle. Hosting a king-size bedroom and a family bathroom, this property can sleep up to two people. Inside you will also find a kitchen and an open plan sitting and dining area with a wood burner. To the outside is off road parking and a gravelled garden to the rear with patio and furniture. Resting in a desirable location and close to scenic attractions, Faraway Cottage is a fabulous retreat in a beautiful part of England.

Amenities: Oil central heating with woodburner. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, WIFI, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel, power and starter pack for woodburner inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Lockable bike storage. Off road parking for 1 car. Gravelled garden to the rear with patio and furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop 7 miles and pub 3 miles. Note: There are no formal pathways in the woodland so guests are free to roam and explore, however the walk to the river is downhill and can be very wet at times so wellies are highly recommended.

Town: Longtown is a town in Cumbria that runs alongside the River Esk. It is a base for a holiday as it comes in the centre of four different Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The town itself offers shops, pubs and restaurants. There is some beautiful places nearby, offering more places to go and things to do. Brampton and Carlisle are nearby with beautiful buildings. As Longtown comes so close to Scotland, it would be rude not to visit, with the stunning town of Dumfries within easy driving distance.

Faraway cottage

Excellent host. Cant beat a break on a working farm with sounds of the livestock in the background. All in all very pleasurable stay.
