Stunning 3 bedroom villa in the renowned Jalon Valley

This three bedroom villa is on the end of a cul de sac on a secluded hillside estate above the traditional Levant village of Alcalali in the Jalon valley. The house looks south and west over the valley with its almond and orange groves and vineyards. There is an extensive private terrace with BBQ, table, benches, and parasol.

The beamed living room is open plan with dining and sitting areas, central heating, a wood-burner and a fully equipped kitchen. There are 3 bedrooms with double beds, two with en suite bathrooms, and a shower room adjacent to the third bedroom. All bedrooms have air-conditioning.

The house is fully furnished in a Castilian style and has WiFi Internet and SKY TV. There is a veranda overlooking the private swimming pool and giving stunning views of the Jalon valley.

Wonderfully relaxing, stunning views

This is the second time we have visited this villa in Alcalali and we loved it just as much! The views are just breath taking and the pool area and outside space seems much larger than surrounding villas. We enjoyed many a night sitting on the 'Naya' drinking cheap wine and taking in the beautiful views of Parcent opposite. The villa itself is a little tired in places, but we didn't spend too much time inside! In the kitchen, there is everything you could need! Herbs, spices, sauces and the fridge even had cold drinks in when we arrived. Charlie was wonderful at communicating throughout the booking stages and during our holiday too. Nothing was too much trouble. It really was a lovely holiday, enjoyed by us all.

wonderful holiday

Beautiful villa, spacious with everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. The beds were extremely comfortable and the air conditioning was very effective. Absolutely loved the outside space - the views, oh wow! The pool was sparkling clean and the perfect place to cool off. The Naya was a great place to spend the evenings playing cards. Communication with Charlie was excellent. Lots of places to explore nearby but a little too hot for us most days! Would love to return one day.

Stunning views. Awesome cycling routes and hiking trails right from the doorstep. Great vehicle parking. House was quaint and cozy. Sitting on the patio staring across the valley at Col de Rates and thinking about the next ride...bliss.

Amazing location and the perfect villa for all your needs

On arrival we were greeted with a stunning Vista of the pool and the Jalon Valley. The villa wanted for nothing, we had everything we hoped for and more, had a nice phone call from Peter (owner) wishing us a happy stay. We can't recommend this villa and the Jalon Valley enough, you won't be disappointed. We came with my partner's mum Karen, who hadn't been abroad for 12 years, she was overwhelmed on how pleasurable her stay had been, she even washed the bedding and towels as a thank you. Holiday heaven!

The house is a well-maintained, beautiful Spanish-style villa. The parking area is easily accessible and flat, despite the house being on a hillside, and nestling beside a high cliff. Mature vines act as a sunshade for your parked car. There are other houses nearby but you are not overlooked, On arrival, you see an attractive swimming pool with a panoramic view of the valley with a village, farms, and impressive mountains in the distance. There is ample space around the pool, as well a lower terrace, covered naya and steep but carefully maintained gardens to explore...including vines with some grapes, lavender and other herbs, and fruit bearing lemon tree. Theres a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and large fridge/freezer. All the windows have effective mosquito nets installed. The house felt very secure. All three bedrooms are spacious and have airconditioning, which is a great benefit. 2 rooms have ensuites, so each bedroom has its own facilities. Theres plenty of space for storing or hanging clothes. The interior is traditional with dark wood furniture. Plenty of comfy seating (ok, some seats are rather soft and offer a lower than average seating postion). You could pass your time doing nothing but looking at the view, accompanied by the chorus of cicadas. If you wish, though, The local village has shops and 3 or 4 bars, plus half a dozen restaurants within 5 minutes drive. The coast is about 20 mins by car. Calpe is near but very crowded. Oliva, further North, is very quiet and unspoilt. There's a myriad of places to visit inland too. This is a beautiful place. There are good and accurate pictures on the website, but they really dont show just what a wonderful place this is. Thank you Charles for your assistance.

Winter month in the sun

We had a really enjoyable time escaping the British weather on a Feb-March month's holiday at Casa Linda. The booking process all went smoothly - thanks to Charlie for his help with any questions. The location worked out well for us, with easy walking across the valley and between the white villages as well as more challenging walks. There are plenty of web sites offering lots of well-described and downloadable routes. We were in time to see the end of the almond blossom in the local valley and the start of the cherry blossom in a nearby valley. The location is also convenient for short drives to the coast, taking about half-an-hour to either of Calpe, Denia or Javea, all worth a visit. Nearer still are the L'Albarda gardens and the caves near Benidoleig. The tourist office in Alcalali had good local information handouts whilst the one up the road in Jalon was good for advice on where to visit. The weather was kind, with temperatures varying from 14-28 degrees with just one wet day. Most days we sat our on the naya for breakfast taking in the magnificent views across the valley to Parcent and the Col de Rates beyond - quite a special feeling. In the evenings, when the weather was cool, the central heating was very effective. The casa is deceptively spacious (compared to the outdoor photos) and the facilities (baths, showers, kitchen, washing machine) were good. It was a comfortable home for us - apart from the lounge settees - and was even a pleasure to hang the washing out with the magnificent view by the end of the pool knowing it would soon dry. Silvestre did a great job of keeping the pool and garden clean and tidy. In Alcalali we particularly used Pascal - the butcher - and a good local bakers. For more serious shopping there were good supermarkets in both Jalon and Orba. There are, of course, plenty of restaurants with a tempting menu del dia. It helped that we found driving and parking quite straight-forward. Compared to other properties we found the drive to the casa and parking there level and well shaded. Every time we came back to the casa the walk down the steps to the entrance door by the pool uncovered the magnificent view and we knew a drink on the naya would be next.. we would definitely stay again. Thank you!

Beautiful villa and lovely region of Spain.

The villa was beautiful. We whiled away many an hour on the Naya just looking at the stupendous view over the Jalon valley. The pool was also gorgeous and very welcome in the afternoons when the temperatures soared. The villa was well equipped and comfortable and we would definitely come again. The villages and towns in the area are all charming and the walking was amazing (the wild flowers and butterflies as well as the views from the hills particularly worth a mention) although we did have to rise very early to avoid the midday temperatures. The restaurant on the Col de Rates has views which it would be hard to match anywhere. Alcalali itself has all you could need (bakers, supermarket, butcher, bars and restaurants) but the MasyMas supermarkets at Jalon or Orba were very good. Altea and Denia/Montgo Natural Park are well worth a visit, as were the Algar Falls (although very commercialised). Overall, we had a lovely stay and would recommend Villa Linda. Thank you.

Amazing Villa, Amazing Location, Amazing View. Perfection!!!

Having spent many a holiday in various villas, this one rates as the best! The villa is very spacious and has everything in it to ensure that your holiday goes just the way you wished it would. The town of Alcalali is just superb.It takes about 10 to 15 minutes to walk down into which offers a good choice of restaurants, bars and small shops. (The walk back is a tough one as the hill is quite a steep one) Alcalali is a cracking little place with a great community feel. The centre of the village is closed off to traffic on Friday and Saturday evenings where tables and chairs are put out with live music whilst you enjoy a drink and something to eat. The nearest supermarket it less than 10 minutes in the car which pretty much offers everything you'll need. The villa itself offers the most amazing views as it sits half way up the mountain. The advert could include a hundred different photographs showing different views and different pictures of the inside of the villa, we were all so amazed at how much nicer the place is in the flesh.One other bonus is the driveway. All of the surrounding places have really steep driveways, this one is nice and flat. Nice and shaded too which will keep the car cool in the hotter weeks. The broadband connection was excellent, my son loved the English TV channels and the air conditioned bedrooms a God send!!! I imagine that as long as this villa remains available to rent for holidays, we will at some point return for another great get away. I couldn't recommend this villa highly enough. Absolutely superb.

Peaceful Break

Excellent location, fantastic views although the interior is a bit tired and main bedroom smelt of smoke on arrival despite villa being non smoking. Overall we had a very relaxing 2 weeks.

Stunning villa with stunning views

The weather was unseasonably cold but with central heating and a wood burning stove it was very cosy.The villa is extremely well appointed with everything you could possibly need for a self catering trip. The terrace gets the sun from dawn till dusk and has a superb view across to the Col de Rates.We were cycling and the only down side was the steep ride up to the villa but it did get us fitter. Thoroughly recommended.

Beautiful Villa

Fantastic stay, the villa was beautiful with stunning views across to the mountains. The villa was equipped with everything that you would need, even down to WiFi and sky for the teenager's. The property was very private with a pool as an added bonus. Good location with easy access to the local village with lots of tavernas to choose from. I would highly recommend, and hope to return next year (without the teenager's)

Vert nice villa

very nice, well-equipped villa, with a very nice view across the Xalo valley to the hills in the distance. For rock climbers it also looks straight down onto Alcalali crag (although you can't just walk over to it due to the villas below). Alcalali is a nice little town, with a couple of reasonably good restaurants within about 15 minutes walk, and they are open over the Christmas period (I have been to this villa twice now, over Christmas - glad to escape Christmas in the UK...). Alcalali is well located for a holiday in the Costa Blanca, being in a quiet, scenic valley, but only 10 minutes drive from the tourist motorway (the locals don't use it due to the tolls), so many other areas are very accessible. Including, for rock climbers, Calpe, Olta, Gandia, Guadalest, and of course, lots more.

Wonderful Villa

Having been to Alcalali before I booked the villa on the reviews that it already had and I can only agree with them. The villa is a good size with spacious bedrooms, good living areas and great outdoor space especially the good size pool. It allowed us as a family to have a fantastic holiday and we will definitely be returning in the coming years. Thank you to Charles, Ernie the pool cleaner and Silvestre!

Really all the facilities for this rent in a very nice surroundings. The villa is large and the swimming-pool so. There are a lot of informations about the country with differents kinds of activities as the sea or mountains are near.

Excellente location.

Aussi bien et même mieux que sur les photos ...... La maison est grande, bien équipée, et la vue de la terrasse est magnifique! L'endroit est calme et idéal pour se reposer après une année de labeur. La piscine est vraiment très agréable, bien entretenue et de grande taille. De plus, les contacts sur place sont vraiment gentils et efficaces. A recommander sans aucune réserve!
