We stayed for a girls weekend to spend time with a niece who was graduating from SIU. House was very clean and was perfect for our group of 5. Thank you to our hosts!
My teen son and I thoroughly enjoyed staying in Tom and Kelley's beautiful home and talking with them throughout the week. They were incredible hosts -- going above and beyond in a number of ways! So relaxing, yet only a few minutes to the town itself. Bonus: dog Cutie Pie, Pigford the pig, and fishing in the pond. Highly recommend!
We stayed here for 2 nights when in town for my son's swim meet on the SIU campus. Location was perfect--only 5 minutes from the pool, despite a setting that felt like we were in the country. The house was such a cozy place to relax during our down time, and was very clean and well-stocked. Tom was an excellent host and made sure we had everything we needed,(even providing us with farm fresh eggs), and also promptly mailed a forgotten charging cord after our departure. Being able to see the pig and dog and wander around the property was an added bonus too. We will absolutely stay here again whenever we're in town!
We had an absolute blast staying at Tom & Kelley house. They had a fire ready for us every night we came back home with blankets! They made us feel very welcome. I can’t wait to come back and stay again. Thank you for dealing with all us crazy girls

Wonderfully comfortable and cozy
We so enjoyed staying at the Grants' farm house. There cannot be better hosts anywhere! If we had chosen to stay to ourselves, they would have respected that, but being chatty, we had great conversations about all sorts of things. There home is beautiful, (guests stay in the house and they have a basement apartment with a separate entrance) and impeccably clean. They abut an arboretum and we had several long hikes on that trail. In addition they have two wonderful, playful dogs and a friendly pot bellied pig that my boys insisted on taking for walks whenever we had a free moment. There were only four of us but this home could comfortably sleep more. We will definitely be visiting again!

Very Welcoming
We stayed for homecoming weekend to visit family in town. Home owners stay in the basement apartment (completely separate). We enjoyed our stay, the owners were very welcoming. The home is nicely remodeled. The kitchen and dining area worked great for our family meals (9 people).

A beautiful home & cannot wait to go back!
The Grants were very accommodating. Their house was beautiful and very comfortable. We loved that we were outside of town but very close to all the amenities of SIU. We hope to be able to stay there again very soon!
