We absolutely loved this stay. Millie was fantastic from minute one!
We will be looking to stay again when we visit family in Castlerock in the future.
Thank you Millie!!!
This was my favorite place to stay during our 2-week trip (4 other home rentals). The house was the most well-outfitted I've ever stayed in -- abroad or in the States. Beautiful, clean, great location, quiet, and spacious. I would go back in a heartbeat.
The house was more than we expected, it had everything we needed and more. We would definitely consider staying there again and would recommend it to anyone who wants to have a base for exploring or just somewhere to have a home away from home
We had a fantastic time at this property. Very clean and modern and great communication with owner. It is only a short 2 minute or so drive to the nearby beach which is a first class beach. Close proximity also to Downhill beach and Benone. Would highly recommend
We loved our stay at Blue Doors Holiday Home! The home is a just walk to the beach and local shops. We even found a walking path to the Mussenden Temple after walking to the main street of town. We appreciated the ability to rest and relax at the house comfortably in between our daily trips out exploring (Giant's Causeway is 30 mins away, Carrick-a-Rede is 40 mins, and Derry was about 40 mins away). We also loved that we could cook meals easily - all the cooking utensils and pots and pans we needed were available. This house really is a treasure - so close to everything we wanted to see and a great place to also relax and rejuvenate on our holiday. Thank you!
Went to Castlerock and stayed for a week in Millies with my wife and 4 young kids. We had a great time. House was clean and had everything we needed. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The back garden is enclosed and well kept so there is no problems to let the children out the back to play.
The house is not far from the shops, train station, beach. Its about a 10 min walk.
Plus the neighbours were a great help and very friendly. Telling us were to go and what we could do.
Yeah, so all in all, would highly recommend Millies place and will be back in near future.

Came to Castlerock for an extended weekend for golf. Location was great, short car rides to everything we needed. We likely would have walked if it was a little warmer. Played at Castlerock Golf Club and Portstewart Golf Club. Both quick car rides (less than 20 minutes to Portstewart).
Place was perfect for two of us, very clean and well kept. Parking was ample and convenient.
Millie was very attentive and accessible and everything went very smoothly.

Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Check-in
Spotless and well equipped
Disastrous 1st day as we couldn’t get in and spent 4 hours trying to contact VRBO. We had to go to a friends and rang them - that took 40 minutes. We did get in the following day and the house was spotless and everything you could want was there. This is a really good holiday home - the garden is clever and the kitchen is really good. We were not holiday makers - just neighbours getting a new kitchen! Loved the Smeg fridge and the cow draft excluder!!

Long Weekend
Stayed at Millie’s property in Castlerock from 25th to 28th May 2018. Met by Millie and Grandson Thomas on arrival, who kindly gave us a welcome pack and immediately made us feel at home. We were shown round and advised on operation of heating, hot water, cooking facilities and Wi-Fi. It was an ideal size for my family party, which included my 2 young grandsons. The property was very child friendly, with a secure back garden allowing the kids to play safely. The open plan living room and kitchen was ideal for the baby walker, with the gated stairs ensuring there was no danger of access for the kids. All bedrooms were spacious, 2 of which included TV/DVD’s, easily accommodating the 4 adults and 2 children in my party and allowing the grandsons some bedtime DVD’s. We all found the accommodation and facilities excellent and very comfortable. The shops and the beach were just minutes away, with bigger supermarkets around a 10 minute drive to Coleraine. We would highly recommend this property and will definitely be visiting again for at least a week, next year.
Spotless property. Had everything you could need. Great location for getting to the beach. Millie (owner) is super helpful. Thanks for a great stay. Will definitely return 👍🏻
Quiet neighbourhood which is located perfectly for trips around the north coast. 10-15min walk to the local beach. Friendly neighbours on either side. Exceptionally clean home on arrival, beautifully decorated with outdoor patio area and some garden furniture. Fully equipped kitchen with excellent fridge freezer capacity for family of 4+. Garden furniture and washing line in garden. Bedrooms all a great size. Really enjoyed our stay in Your home Millie. Will definitely be back!
Had a lovely stay at Millies House. House was lovely and clean. Beds were really comfortable. Had everything we needed for cooking. Lovely wee back garden with garden furniture. About the host
Hosted by Millie Lennox
Hello, we are Eddie and Millie Lennox from the Mid Ulster area near our home town of Magherafelt. As a family more used to living in the country we purchased this holiday home in 2017 for our extended family and friends to enjoy peaceful days by the seaside with that cosy feeling of Village life. Although we have owned this home for only a short time we have gained some very good friends, during the extensive renovation period and hopefully for life. We carried out the renovations ourselves with help from friends and during this time the neighbours where a great help and enjoyed the latest updates on how things where getting on. We look forward to getting back to Freehall and Blue Doors as our escape and free time, we hope you do to.
Why they chose this property
We chose this property due to its location in a quite residential area of Castlerock. There is quite a strong community feeling with everyone looking out for each other. We have very good neighbours always willing to stop for a whiles crack and gossip and always willing to tell you what's going on in the area. Our Holiday home has all the benefits of a standard sized 3 bedroom, house with a secure rear yard for the children all to help you enjoy your stay safely without that cabin feeling. You will find we have provided those small items for all the family, especially those that make a house a family home but don't fit into the suitcase. Some toys for the kids, free WIFI, a small collection of DVD's and a good read for cosy nights in front of the wood burner Stove. During the renovation we tried to make the transistion between home and holiday home less daunting.
What makes this property unique
The Blue Doors is perfectly situated to North Coast transport links and for you to enjoy rural country walks down School lane towards the Mussenden Temple and Black Glen or a beautiful evenings stroll along the sea shore. Its Close to all the village amenities, use the short cut down Duck lane to the play areas. Cross the Railway footpath to the bars and restaurants and the Beach is great for the children with no need to worry about the car or travel. Just hop on the Train and travel from as far as Londonderry to Dublin taking in Coleraine and Portrush or take the bus from the stop on Freehall Road to where ever the wind takes you. Most important for us is the people of the Village. Castlerock is a living community all year round, rather than the usual holiday resort.
