Stylish apartment with balcony overlooking the Port of Nice, sleeps 4

A stylish apartment located right on the Port, you are only a short stroll from the famous Old Town, minutes from the beaches, cafes and restaurants. Or you can jump on the tram at the top of the port to get to the Old Town and Nice centre where all the main shops and boutiques are eg Galleries Lafayette.
The apartment has two double bedrooms, a large living area with double sofa bed, three full length windows and a balcony. There is a spacious bathroom with another balcony to the rear.
The apartment is on the fourth floor of the building and there is no lift (80 stairs), however the views are stunning and worth the climb.
A perfect place to have fun or relax. Perfectly positioned - in the morning the front of the apartment is in shade, which is ideal for breakfast - from early afternoon it is in full sunshine. In the evening you can sit on the balcony and watch the sun set behind the Chateau hill.
From Nice airport, the Port is a 20 minute journey by car or taxi or take the new tram which runs from both terminals at Nice airport every 12 minutes and takes about 20 minutes. The apartment is a two minute walk from the top of the port.

Amazing vacation

Couldn’t be in a more perfect area! Walking distance to all shopping, restaurants, beaches, and the train. Gorgeous views! Management very easy to contact for questions.

Fantastic view and a beautiful apartment!

We loved every Day in this fantastic apartment - most of all the view and the balcony! Only thing there could been Better was the cleanliness. There was a lot of dust and the freezer was full of so much ice, that We couldn’t use it. But it was still the best apartment we have visit in Nice - and we have been there about 12 times!

Nice Experience

We had a really wonderful 5 night stay at David’s apartment in Nice. The location and view were amazing - loved waking up and sipping coffee on the balcony watching the ships and port life. The accommodations were very comfortable for our family of 4 and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was worth the 5 flights of stairs! Also I was happy that enough fans were provided as it was very hot during our stay. Overall a really pleasant stay - we highly recommend!

Wonderful flat in a fantastic location

Checked out the location on Google Streetview but it didn't do it justice. The area is really vibrant, plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants and it's right on the edge of the old town. Ideal location to explore the popular and less well-known beaches, museums. Tram is on the doorstep. Ideal if you like to run - there's a constant procession of joggers and the prom is just around the corner. The flat itself was immaculate with real character and every amenity you could need during a stay. Views over the harbour and surrounds are stunning. Note - there are 80ish steps up to the flat; I had no issue with this but some might, if as we did, you're going up and down multiple times per day. I hope to return here again, it really is fantastic. Owner and appointed concierge/management co (Prom Holidays) were very helpful

Amazing view and a perfect location

This was perfect for us. There is 86 steps to reach the apartment so you have to be able to manage that, but once up there the view is amazing. Lovely to sit out with a drink at night and watch the yachts. The apartment is a good size and has everything you need. We will definitely be back! Thank you. We had a lovely stay.

25-Year anniversary to Nice

We celebrated a bit early as my husband had business travel to France. We had an amazing stay in David’s flat. Location was perfect walking distance to all activities. We couldn’t get ourselves to go to bed each night because we enjoyed the balcony so much and sounds of the water. I couldn’t recommend it enough! David also had a bottle of Prosecco for an anniversary treat!

Perfect on the Port

Jaw dropping view of the port from an elegant apartment. Wonderful location near the tram, many restaurants, Museum of Contemporary Arts and more. The kitchen is larger than it looks in the photos and very well equipped (we never found a coffee cone but the filters were there). Towels and linens were first rate (be sure to bring your own soap etc). Good instructions on how to get in but yes, there are 80 stairs and now Arnold wants his legs back. Can't recommend the apartment enough. Would have preferred to have been met rather than picking up the key but it was a choice and a minor quibble. I would stay here again in a minute.

Wonderful property by the port

We had a great week’s stay in April. Once a few communication issues were sorted with the property manager, everything was very smooth running and the owners are incredibly helpful. The apartment has a luxurious feel, is very well appointed and was spotlessly clean. Couldn’t ask for more.

Sehr schöne Woche mit Einschränkungen

Die Wohnung eignet sich wunderbar für 3-4 Personen bzw. 2 Paare. Sie ist schön eingerichtet, die Küche sehr gut ausgestattet für diejenigen, die gerne selber kochen und sie hat einen herrlichen Blick auf den Hafen, das Meer zur einen und die Stadt zur anderen Seite und ein großes Bad mit Badewanne und Waschmaschine sowie eine extra Toilette erwiesen sich als praktisch. Die Lage ist perfekt, es gibt viele kleine Läden und Patisserien in der Nähe, Bäckerei, Supermarkt und Gemüsehändler direkt um die Ecke. Die Tram fährt direkt vom Flughafen bis vor die Haustür (Endstation), die Bahnstation Riquier ist fußläufig erreichbar, ebenso wie Busse, die einen z.B. zum Cap Ferrat bringen. Als mangelhaft haben wir die Qualität der Betten erlebt (vermutlich max. 1,50 breit und durchgelegen, man rollt in die Mitte, die Kopfkissen unflexibel und sehr hoch, einige Kopfkissenbezüge waren teilweise deutlich zu klein, das mit Stoff bezogene und gepolsterte Wandelement am Kopfende fleckig und alt) und z.T. die Sauberkeit: die Glastrennwand an der Badewanne und sämtliche Fenster waren total verschmiert bzw. in der oberen Hälfte wohl seit langem gar nicht geputzt, Glastische und Schrank im Schlafzimmer völlig verstaubt, z.T. verschmierte Oberschränke in der Küche, blau verschmierte Reste eine Putzmittels im nur teilweise geputzten Kühlschrank, völlig verfettete und verschmierte Innenseite der Ofentür), Dreck in den Ecken, Flecken auf einer Tür. Wir hatten den Eindruck, dass hier lange keine Grundreinigung gemacht wurde. Nachdem ich den Kühlschrank, die Oberschränke, die Glaswand im Bad und einige der Fenster geputzt hatte, fühlten wir uns wohl und hatten eine tolle Woche.

Magical!

The views from this apartment are breathtaking! The apartment itself is elegant, comfortable, and was exactly what we were looking for to represent a French experience. The location was close to public transportation and old town. We use this as a base to make day trips to other nearby towns. If you're wondering where to stay in the French Riviera, this is it! It was truly hard to leave on our last day.

A stylish apartment with stunning views over Nice’s picturesque port

This wonderful apartment is in the perfect location with a lovely balcony overlooking the bustling port. There are plentiful shops, restaurants and swimming spots within a 5 minute walk and the transport links are fantastic. We enjoyed exploring Nice on foot from this base and also hired bikes to explore the coast in both directions. We would highly recommend this spacious apartment which must have one of the very best views in Nice!

Perfect!

We really enjoyed our stay in this Port apartment recently which couldn't be more perfect in terms of its location, view, French charm and the hustle and bustle of the area. It is within a walking distance from the Old and central Nice yet nicely shielded from the main crowds by the castle hill. We find the Port restaurants one of the best in Nice. It was also great fun to watch the never stopping port activity from the balcony or the street. The apartment owners and the property manager were extremely helpful in answering our questions and made us feel very welcome. Would highly recommend.

We Nearly Became Squatters!

Booking was straightforward and the website, along with the owner's replies to a few specific questions, had absolute credibility - important these days when one hears of people being conned into booking fictitious holiday homes. Indeed, the owner couldn't have been more helpful and was even tolerant when I mislaid his guidance notes and sent a panicky email a couple of days before we travelled. As relatively inexperienced travellers we still get a bit anxious and it was a relief, on arriving in Nice, when my phone call to the English-speaking property manager was answered within a few rings. A straightforward taxi ride took us to the apartment where Julie greeted us warmly. The apartment was charming. Old-style French, with shuttered tall windows and French doors onto a diddy balcony. On the 4th floor, just a little vertiginous initially, but we were soon accustomed. And what a view! The bustling old port of Nice spread out before us. We marvelled at the super-yachts and their colour-co-ordinated crews. On our first morning we both did a comedic double-take on stepping onto the balcony to find that a new apartment block had apparently been built overnight - the Corsica ferry had berthed silently whilst we slept. This was followed by a truly marvellous holiday over the ensuing 10 days. Slightly tempting just to sit on the balcony drinking red wine and watching the world bustling below, but lots to do and see once the discipline to sally forth was found. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

We are an English couple who love this part of France and we try to visit 2 or 3 times a year. We have been renting our beautiful apartment for nearly 10 years through word of mouth and holiday rental companies with amazing five star reviews. We have regular guests who have been coming every year and never tire of the superb views from the apartment, the comfortable and stylish surroundings and the great location.

Why they chose this property

The apartment is located in the port of Nice which is a pleasant 20 minute walk to the Old Town either through Place Garibaldi to the back of the Old Town or along the seafront. The port is a lively area and there are lovely bars and restaurants around the port and shops along the back streets including a bakery, supermarket, butchers and fishmongers. On the opposite side of the port there is an antiques quarter with dozens of high quality antique shops to browse.

What makes this property unique

The apartment is located in an historic building dating back to the early nineteenth century. The views from the apartment are amazing and the high ceilings of the apartment give it a very spacious feeling. It also benefits from being within walking distance to the popular Promenade des Anglais and the main beach as well as the Old Town but also has its own character and local beaches, shops and restaurants. There are buses at the top of the port that will take you to Monaco or you can travel from the local train station Nice Riquier (20 minute walk away) to Monaco to the East or Cannes and Antibes to the West. It really is an ideal place to stay in Nice.
