The serenity of the area will make you feel connected to nature and your mind will empty while gazing at the stunning countryside views. The outdoor area covers 2.000m2 and the large and subtly designed saltwater pool (10 X 4,5 m and 1,40-1,45m deep) fits well with the tiled paved terrace besides it. Furthermore, there’s a special compartment just for children (9m2 and 45cm deep) and beautiful lawn covered area. Enjoy sunbathing or reading your favourite books on the comfortable sun beds provided and let the summer breeze cool your body. An outdoor shower is also available for your outmost comfort. The pool area is surrounded by plants and flowers and it creates a magical ambience during the sunset time.

If the heat is too strong, don’t be concerned, as there are plenty of shaded areas in the spacious veranda, ideal for relaxing whilst enjoying the views of the surrounding hills and the Cretan sea. Choose between the wonderful sitting area by the pool to have your breakfast or the outdoor dining area for your meals. Try to master your cooking skills at the BBQ facilities available or just spend a lazy afternoon in the gorgeous wooden kiosk in the garden.

Interior
While entering Villa Jacopo, you will find yourselves in a cosy open-plan room, featuring the living room, kitchen and dining area. Interiors are styled in chic and modern patterns, which will make you feel right at home, as this contemporary Villa covers 150 m2 and epitomises laid-back village living. The open fireplace, wooden ceiling, stone walls and large windows by the sitting area are unique for spending your nights with your loved ones, playing games or just watching TV. The kitchen is fully equipped so you can prepare your homemade meals and provided everything essential for a self catered holiday. Designed with outdoor living in mind, from the glass-fronted sitting room to the large double doors and many windows, the space is bright and airy all day long, while both the living room and the kitchen offer direct access to the pool terrace and the outdoor dining table.

Villa Jacopo boasts 3 comfortable bedrooms, and can accommodate up to 7 guests. You’ll idle away most mornings taking in the panoramic rural views from the comfort of your double bed (1,60X2,00) in the light-filled master bedroom, complete with an en suite bathroom with a shower cabin. Additionally, a twin bedroom (0,90X2,00) and an extra bathroom can also be found in the ground floor. While on the basement, downstairs, an additional twin bedroom and a bathroom with a shower cabin are available. All bedrooms are air-conditioned and have a flat screen TV. Finally, one more guest can be accommodated on the living room sofa.

Villa Jacopo is located between two picturesque villages, the closest one being Kastellos, where a traditional taverna can be found.

Tolle Aussicht und 1A Service

Vorab, die Villa liegt sehr exponiert und hat einen traumhaften Blick. Wir haben mehrfach recht dicht kreisende Gänsegeier beobachten können. Rethymno ist nur 20 Minuten entfernt. Wir hatten leider die ersten Tage etwas Pech mit dem Wetter. Wenn es regnet, dann hat man aufgrund der lockeren Stroheindeckung leider keinen Regenschutz aussen . Aber wenn die Sonne scheint, ein Gedicht... Hervorzuheben ist der Service der Agentur, dies begann schon beim Einchecken, da wir früher am Haus waren und wir schlecht mit den Koffern in die Stadt konnten. Dann kam es leider zu einem Unfall. Ein Anruf genügte und Yiannis hat nicht nur die Ambulanz verständigt sondern auch dafür gesorgt, dass diese bis zur Villa geleitet wurde. Für Übersetzungshilfe bot er an ins Krankenhaus mitzufahren. Erst als emotional Betroffener kann man schätzen, was dies bedeutet. Die Villa hatte alles was das Herz begehrt, von der Ausstattung bis zur Lage. Aber erst, wer den Kaffee zur aufgehenden Sonne auf der Terrasse genießen kann, wird wissen was wir meinen. Genial

Magnifique villa, calme, très bien équipée

La villa est magnifique, la vue exceptionnelle, superbe piscine. Très bien équipée. Je regrette juste que le ménage n'ait été fait qu'une seule fois en 11 jours, les draps ont été changés une seule fois, et les draps de bain pas du tout ... pour le reste, c'était sublime.

do you need more?

My wife and I holiday in Villas only, across the world. We spent a week here in September 2020. Jacopo lived up to the pictures. It is set in a peaceful rural location, with stunning views, and the villa wants for nothing. Well appointed, well furnished and with excellent quality too. The nearest decent supermarket is about 15 mins by car as is Rethymno but we don't mind the travel as we only ever want privacy, peace and quiet.... Why do you need more than that? It was a wonderful vacation...

Wunderschönes Haus mit atemberaubendem Blick

Das Haus ist sehr modern, sehr gut eingerichtet und hat einen super schönen großen Pool, eine tolle Terrasse und eine wundervolle Aussicht. Wir verbrachten ein tolle Zeit und konnten uns gut erholen. Die Lage des Hauses ist sehr gut. Von dort aus konnte man auf kurzen Wegen viele schöne Strände, Städte und Sehenswürdigkeiten besichtigen. Der Empfang und die Betreuung war sehr freundlich und kleine Problemchen ( Internet war weg) wurden schnell behoben. Der einzige Verbesserungsvorschlag wäre bessere Kissen für die Betten und ein Repeater für das Internet im Untergeschoss. Wir bedanken uns bei Valia, Nikki und Yannis für die Gastfreundlichkeit. Sehr schön war auch die im Dorfliegende Taverna, wo wir den Wirt und die Wirten als sehr Gastfreundlich entfunden haben. Wir haben bereist das Haus an Freunden und Bekannten weiterempfohlen. Vielen Dank nochmals für die Geduld bei der späten Anreise. An alle Gäste bitte beachten, es gibt ein zweites Dorf mit gleichem Namen (Kastell) in der Nähe von Chania. Das Navi hat uns dort hingeführt und deswegen müssten wir mehr als 30 km zurück fahren.

Amazing Place

We had a fantastic vacation at an amazing place. The location of the villa is just perfect. On the mountain you have a great view, you can even see the seaside but it is super fast to reach Rethymno and different beaches. The support from the agency was also very good. I highly recommend this place to everyone who wants to have an amazing vacation.

Absolutely fantastic villa , the outside space is amazing . The views are spectacular . A car is essential staying here , but easy access to nearby shops and local tavernas . If you like to be away from it all somewhere tranquil but close to Rethymo can not recommend enough , our family of 7 including teenagers loved it .

Great villa with superb views over countryside to sea

My family of 5 spent a week at the villa in July 2019. This is a lovely place - superb villa with great views over the valley towards the mountains and sea. There is plenty of shaded areas to shelter when the sun gets to hot and also a decent sized pool. The local staff are very friendly and helpful and they also provide a mid week clean. You do need a car if you stay in this villa as the local facilities are to far away to walk.

Extérieurs très agréables avec belle vue

Cette maison a parfaitement répondu à nos attentes: Au calme, en retrait de la ville de Rethymon (centre historique à une vingtaine de minute en voiture ), avec une vue splendide sur les montagnes et la mer. On entend le bruit de cloches des brebis...Sinon rien. La maison est grande, bien entretenue et équipée (il ne manque rien dans la cuisine). Les extérieurs sont très appréciables, très ombragés. Très belle piscine, avec une partie pataugeoire parfaite pour les plus petits. Accueil souriant par le responsable de l'agence. Nous avons passé un formidable séjour et envisageons de revenir pour finir de découvrir la Crête !

Familievenlig bolig med fantastisk udsigt og masser af solkroge

Vi (5 voksne og barn på 1 år) havde en uges super ferie i Villa Jacopo, ca. 10 km. inland fra Rethymnon. Du skal vælge denne bolig hvis du kan lide landlige omgivelser, ro, natur og en suveræn udsigt til bjerge, små landsbyer og Middelhavet i det fjerne. Boligen er funktionel, velindrettet og har 3 dejlige værelser med gode senge og badeværelse til hver. Godt køkken-alrum og suveræne udendørsfaciliteter med overdækkede terrasser, solkroge og swimmingpools til store og små. Rigtig godt med opvaske- og vaskemaskine, da vi havde et lille barn med. Den lidt afsides placering kræver, at du har bil, og er du mere til fest og byliv, skal du vælge en bolig nærmere de større byer. Det tog lidt tid at finde ud af varmesystemet (gulvvarme). Booking gik glat og Valia Kokkinou sendte god info om spisesteder og påske på Kreta.
