Such a beautiful home-perfect location, filled with antiques plus everything needed for a fun getaway. The house is located right off of Talbott Street- enjoyed walking to local bakery/coffee shop- Sprout, eating breakfast at Carpenter Street Saloon and shopping. Great communication with our host who was so knowledgeable about the area. Church bells rang throughout the day. Beautiful views all around. Easy walk to the Lighthouse and Maritime Museum.
This house was in the perfect location, central to everything in St. Michaels. I wish the furniture was more comfortable in the shared spaces for hanging out, but overall a wonderful weekend with friends.
The Carpenter Street Cottage is a great place to stay. Very clean and comfortable and has all of the necessary amenities. The location is perfect for walking throughout the town. I will definitely stay there again!

Our family attended a wedding in St Michael’s and the location of the house was perfect for walking to everything. We spent lots of time on the back porch between events. The only thing the property could benefit from is a full length mirror!!!
Great little cottage and plenty of space for our family of 3 to have an end-of-Summer getaway to one of our favorite towns. Prompt and easy communication with the owner, Tom, both before and during our stay. We loved the back porch and were blessed with some cooler temps and were able to enjoy sitting out there. FYI - Den has a door (third bedroom with pull out sofa). We have rented on Carpenter Street before, and the location cannot be beat as far as walkability to everything in town and along the waterfront. However, if you are planning to visit over a weekend - specifically Saturday night - bring earplugs to wear at night because things don't shut down at the corner Saloon until around 1am. We knew enough to bring them, but if you are new to staying in town in St Michaels, take note. My only suggestion for the house is a new mattress on the king bed upstairs. It's not very thick and definitely has some significant divots from heavier sleepers.
Other notes about town: If you think you'll need any groceries or bottled water during your stay, bring them from home, or stop in Easton. The small market in town doesn't have many choices. Best meal out: Bistro (worth every penny). 2nd runner up is definitely Foxy's for lunch. Great vibe on the deck, and we loved the fish "taco", tuna steak sandwich, and the Smashburger. Meal we would skip if we did it again: Corah's. Tried both ice cream places, but went back for seconds at JoJos. Best activity: Sail Selina II - Iris was amazing!
This property is in a great location to the downtown area and marina. My girlfriends and I did a girls weekend here. Hurricane Debby made an appearance but we weren't rained out all weekend. It did bring a lot of ants into the house though which was frustrating. There needs to be more comfortable seating in the family room area. The couch was great but the chairs were not great. We did inform the owner about the ants and a few things that we saw that needed to be repaired and or cleaned. Other than that our stay was wonderful.
Really dirty oven and stove
To much clutter
Screen on porch needs repair
Some Porch furniture falling apart and not comfortable.
Lawn needs attention- grass should have been cut
Back step into house is nasty
Trim and finish of interior is not professional
GFI outlet in first floor bathroom cannot be reset
We had a wonderful time! The location of the house allowed us to park the car and walk everywhere we wanted to go! Love the house - the set up of the rooms is great. The master bedroom is amazing! We enjoyed afternoons on the screened-in porch - the ceiling fans really helped, because it was hot! Very relaxing time!
We could walk everywhere from the house and it was a perfect location. Also was great to have a backyard for our pup. The living area at the back of the house is very spacious and it had everything we needed but the front rooms and bedroom are extremely dated and could use some updating to make the furniture more comfortable and welcoming. The bed in the primary bedroom was massive but you sink into the middle of it and our backs were hurting after one night. Also, unfortunately there were some openings in the screened in porch that is sounds like the owner is aware of.
What a beautiful home, so convenient and an easy walk to marina, restaurants and local shopping.
The huge back screened in porch is everything! We loved our time.
What a wonderful way to enjoy a long weekend in St. Michaels - top notch cleanliness and communication, and convenient to all the shops and restaurants!

Why they chose this property
Spending time in St. Michaels is a treat. The beauty, the quiet, the historic character, the nearby water, the convenience, all make spending time here enjoyable and relaxing. This property is adjacent to other cottages I have restored.
What makes this property unique
The Cottage is steps from everything St. Michaels has to offer - harbor, shops, parks, restaurants, museums, coffee shops, farmer's market, Town pool, tennis courts, library etc.. In addition to a very large master bedroom on the second floor, it has a second bedroom on the first floor with a full bath. It also has a large family room and very large screened porch and backyard for enjoying outdoor living!
