The furnishings in this unit are not as pictured--they are at the end of their usable lives. The furniture is disgusting, we really did not want to even sit on the upholstered surfaces. They were stained, warn, cushions flattened and dirty, holes in the upholstery, etc. The showers all leak, the tile is all loose, the moldings are all damaged from water damage. The floors in many places are worn to the sub-flooring. The beds are just gross, slumped on the edges, hard, dirty, uncomfortable. The sheets were clean, blankets not so much.
When we arrived the unit had not been cleaned, the property managers apologized profusely, but offered no mediation. We were told we had to immediately pay additional city tax fees, even though our VRBO booking said paid in full.
The house keeper arrived and did an amazing job, but could not correct the issues listed above. She really was wonderful. Habitat was terrible. Their response was basically "Nothing we can do", basically a big "tough luck". We had no other options, it was impossible to get a last minute hotel.
Habitat was also completely non-responsive to e-mails during our stay, I had hoped to book an airport shuttle through them--no reply.
The internet is worthless, it keeps dropping and is not accessible from 1/2 of the unit. It's also extremely slow.
The ONLY positive aspect about this place was the location, it was perfect! This is the only reason it gets ONE star, otherwise I would say none.
I doubt this review will even make it on VRBO, they keep changing the listing number in order to hide negative reviews.
Stay somewhere else in El Born, with another company!
