Large Country Lodge with Beautiful Views

Perched atop a peaceful, forested ridge, Panorama Lodge is a comfortable, 7 bedroom log home with breathtaking views of Mt. Hood and the Hood River Valley. Look out to a verdant valley of pear, apple and cherry orchards.

Great place for retreats, sport teams, and reunions. Our lodge is outfitted for flexibility. We can sleep 18 - 21. A favorite lodging option for reunions, non-profit groups, bicycle teams. Ask for a floor plan.

Relax on our full-length deck with Mt Hood and the Hood River Valley laid out in front of you. Enjoy the serenade of birds, quail and wild turkeys. You'll enjoy the call of owls at night. Gather on our large deck with Mt. Hood at your feet. Play bocce ball on our newly completed court. Hike or bike some awesome nearby trails with great views. Enjoy the sunset with a warm fire close by.

Yet we're less than four miles from Hood River where shops, world-class restaurants, brew pubs, art galleries and theatre await.

IMPORTANT: WE ARE NOT A WEDDING VENUE! Our site is not suitable to host weddings! We are in a great neighborhood of families on 3 to 5 acre parcels. Loud noise carries throughout this area. Be considerate of our neighbors. Please, no outdoor music or other noisy outdoor activities past 10 pm. Thank you

Mountain bike and hiking trails are just up the road and windsurfing and kite sailing are only three miles away. Ask about trails, must-see places and view spots. Lots of local information.

The entry has a set of stairs, as well as a paved entry ramp.

We are just 33 miles to Mt. Hood Meadows ski area. Government Camp skiing is about 45 miles south around the mountain from us.

Enjoy life in the country with family, friends or team members. 7 bedrooms, 4 baths. The Lodge makes a perfect location for reunions, celebrations, retreats and team lodging. With a well stocked kitchen and barbecue grill you can prepare a feast.

RETREATS, REUNIONS, SPORTS LODGING, SEMINARS: We have many of the amenities necessary for summer and winter retreats. Bicycle and sports teams are drawn to our lodge because of our proximity to popular biking areas. All king beds are convertible to long twin beds. Our Lodge can sleep up to 18 singles in separate beds.

Quaint retreat with amazing views
Our group had a weekend stay at Linda’s home. Plenty of beds and rooms for our big group and she even split some kings into twins, which was much appreciated. View from the deck is amazing and private, quiet setting. We didn’t get to explore the whole property (still cold outside) but I’m sure in summer it would be awesome. Some of the furniture could use updating and heating control is a bit funky but overall a very sweet place we would visit again.

Second time we booked this property for our annual pre-Christmas family gathering. We love the homey feel, interesting antique collection and the generous cooking, eating, living and sleeping spaces. We are 3 generations and this is the one place with room for everyone. The peaceful setting and spectacular view are a welcome bonus.

Our women's ministry group loved our stay for our Fall retreat! The view of Mount Hood was incredible and we enjoyed the setup of the twin beds for accommodating everyone comfortably.

Charming & Comfortable Lodge
We've been traveling with the same 4 families for 18 years, camping in the summer and getting together at New Year's for fun and relaxation. Panorama Lodge is a great fit for us: there are enough beds for all of us (18 people), a separate living/entertainment space for the under-50 crowd, a big-enough kitchen, and tables & chairs to fit all of us. It's a little rustic--nothing fancy, just a big, comfortable log home--but it's also affordable, even for the tightwads in the group.

We had a wonderful weekend here with family. The walls are thin, so you definitely can hear when people are up and about and chatting, but since we all went to bed around the same time, it was fine. You just cannot beat the beautiful view!!! Will definitely stay here again!

It truly is a spectacular view, we had beautiful, sunny weather, and watching the mountain change, from dawn to dusk was very rewarding. The lodge is old, eclectic, and fun. It had every thing we needed, plenty of propane, we used a lot, with Bbq, and many hours around the gas firepit. close to town, and many wine tastings

Perfect for our annual retreat
We are a group of friends who used to work together and have been spending a week-end away for 32 years now. This house was so comfortable and spacious. Plenty of bedrooms, beds and bathrooms. Plenty of kitchenware and dishes. There are good beds and updated bathrooms. The house retains a nice funky old lodge feeling with a fabulous view. Nice personal contact with owner as well. Thanks!

A perfect spot for a group vacation
This property is absolutely wonderful! The location with its view of Mt Hood is extraordinary. Seven bedrooms so everyone in our family was able to have his own room yet be together in the spacious living areas and expansive deck area. The host is gracious and welcoming. The kitchen is well-stocked so we could prepare dinners for our group of sixteen. We all hope to return!

We hike or ride bike whenever we get a chance. Landscaping and gardening occupy a lot of our time. We have over 50 organic blueberry plants and LOTS of strawberries. Whenever we get more time off, we explore other parts of Oregon & Washington. We have always loved the northwest.

Why they chose this property

We have lived in the Gorge most of our lives. The lodge location has so much to offer . . . the view is awesome, there are two great hiking trails within one or two miles, if we need something we are just 3.5 miles from town, less ambient light makes for a great place to observe the stars at night, plus the peace and quiet can't be beat. The Columbia Gorge is rich with wildlife, we presently have a doe & two fawns and a large herd of turkeys that visit daily. Natural beauty abounds, go hiking, camping, kayaking, skiing and other explorations - all types of adventure are close by. Wind surfing, kite sailing and stand up paddle boarding are just 3 miles away on the Columbia River.

We bought our property in '76 and built a large log home taking full advantage of our mountain view. We have been offering our lodge to guests for over 30 years. We love this area and enjoy helping our guests locate the many treasures we have found in the gorge.

What makes this property unique

Peace and Quiet. People come from all over for the silence, the nearby trails, the superb mountain view, the awesome night sky and a variety of wildlife. Wild turkeys often will be seen on property. And it is not unusual to see a deer and fawn ambling through. We feel pretty lucky.
