A great place would definitely recommend
Had a lovely stay, the house was great and had everything we needed. The house is in a great location and there were lovely walks to the beach close by. It was perfect for our weekend away and I would definitely return.

Excellent location for the beach
We stayed here with friends and 2 dogs. Lovely clean house, excellent location with a 20 minute walk to the beach through the golf course. We can highly recommend Eric's fish and chips and pizza and the White Horse Pub in Holme.

A lovely break with old friends
We enjoyed our stay at Tide Cottage which is a comfortable holiday home in a special location. I would advise the owners to give attention to a couple of items which appear to have suffered from use— the back patio doors are difficult to lock, and the lock on the bathroom door falls off, also front door seal is loose. Apart from this the house was clean, decorated to a high standard and equipped with all you could possibly need for a lovely stay. Thanks.

Nice, quiet location in a very popular village.
Excellent well enclosed garden for our dog, with large variety of walks nearby. Pub, 2 minutes away, selling good food & drink, was a bonus. House itself was smaller than expected. Suitable for 4 adults, but not 7, including 1 young child. For upto 7 people, space would be tight, given the large number of ornaments etc on display. Upstairs bathroom would be better with a proper over bath shower, instead of a rinse off shower attached to the bath. Parking for 2 cars was also difficult. Leaving a car , such as an SUV, on the road, is not a good option. Previous comments are meant as helpful suggestions. Property location, both in local & area terms , are excellent.

Very good, clean only problem was shower not working upstairs or no instructions how to turn shower on! There should be a proper shower over the bath.

Spacious home
Perfectly located but not very clean, there were cobwebs and dust in most rooms and food left under side board and tv unit (which our dog alerted us to!) I cleaned the shower cubicle and shower head myself as this was also not very clean. Windows were also very draughty especially the living room. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and had a relaxing time, visited Burnham Market, King's Lynn and the local pub as well as a few walks to the beach. Just a shame that Parks Piece opposite was flooded as would have loved to walk the dog over there but that's the risk of going on holiday in winter. I would recommend this for a peaceful retreat and for its location and the space inside but not for it's cleanliness

fab stay
This week was gale force winds galore. We loved the house so much. Went for morning walks to the beach which was amazing, sky larks landing at our feet and vast open space. We loved Lidl being 10 minutes away and so stocked up with food so reasonably and then used the deli, 5 mins in the opposite direction for the special treats. then we snuggled round the beautiful fire, ate, and played games in the warm relaxed atmosphere of the house. Would highly recommend and hope to come back soon. Plenty of hot water and beds so comfortable. Towels and sheets of great quality and decor immaculate. Thanks so much to owners and Norfolk Hideaways.

Nice cottage and location but we weren't over impressed with the cleanliness of the cottage... Let it down. Please note the air vent is faulty on the lounge window it didn't close.

Lovely coastal holiday
Everything about Tide Cottage was perfect from the high standard of furnishing to the location. The attention to detail was great from the welcome bottle of wine to a bar of soap in the bathroom, which I had forgotten to pack. Tide Cottage is perfectly situated for exploring the North Norfolk coast line and with a very good pub in the village (only a minutes walk away) it made it the ideal spot for us to enjoy our short break. Furthermore, the cottage was very dog friendly with a secure garden and opposite was an enclosed wild area where you can safely let your dog off the lead. We had a brilliant time and would definitely recommend this property to family and friends.

Tide Cottage. 3 Ladies and a dog!
Very comfortable cottage. Clean and nicely decorated. About 2 mins walk from Pub and similar to Park Piece. Lovely. Local owned field where I walked my dog in the morning. One thing that could be very useful is opaque film on the downstairs bathroom window! When there, one is in full view of anyone passing. Also being Norfolk with their often missing signage, information on local walks etc and a visitors feedback book would be very useful. My friends and I only managed to work out certain routes as our weeks stay was coming to an end. So, information in Cottage, even how to get to local beach would have be really helpful. Also maybe local guide books which are free!

Tide cottage
very nice cottage . There was a big problem with parking if more than 1 car because the lane it was on was very narrow and had quite a few vehicles down at different times of the day. Also there were toads in garden which could pose a problem if you had dogs.

Very Overpriced
In 2017 via Norfolk Hideaways we stayed at a cottage in Heacham, Norfolk. It wasn't cheap, but it was beautifully equipped and furnished and very spacious. It was wonderful. In 2018, again with Norfolk Hideaways we booked Tide Cottage in Holme-Next-The-Sea. Because there was us and our daughter we needed two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Tide Cottage slept up to seven and had two bathrooms, so adequate space - and because it was so pricey (materially more than we paid the previous year I think) we assumed it would be something special. Maybe we should have checked the spec/photos/description more carefully! The property appeared to be of recent build. It is semi-detached with a small frontage (to share our two cars plus next door's two cars, so a bit tight). "Cottage" is an optimistic description! Inside there's enough space for us three, but it would be jammed if seven stayed there! The property has been furnished, equipped and decorated I would guess as cheaply as possible. All the furniture including the beds and the lounge furniture appears to have been sourced on the cheap - and it shows. Every room I think has been painted in magnolia with white woodwork. Even the upvc windows look cheap. There are cheap ornaments, pictures on the wall, etc - all with a nod to a seaside theme, but done on the cheap. We didn't use the garden - it's fully paved more or less. We were out all day so we weren't too fussed and we had a lovely holiday - just grates a bit that we felt disappointed that the "cottage" turned out to be very far from special. Holme is lovely - immediate access to dunes and beach and it has a terrific pub.

Lovely house to relax and enjoy your holiday.
Everything we needed. Beautiful bedding and curtains. However may be a suggestion to owner or house keeper. The freezer was half full of food ,mostly half packets of peas and chips. Was unsure if to throw some away as hate waste ,it left little space for our food. Also cupboard had lots of opened food ie spaghetti etc. Only one Bath towel provided was expecting a hand towel each as well.

Tide Cottage Holiday
Lovely cottage, clean and very well equiped. Perfect Location and only a short drive to Hunstanton. The White Horse pub was just a walk around the corner and can highly recommend the food there. Overall a lovely holiday and would recommend to anyone heading to Norfolk.

Summer Holiday
A lovely week with my children and Mum and a short visit from my husband. The accommodation layout suited us perfectly. And the location was ideal too. Unfortunately the general cleanliness and housekeeping let down a great little property.

Tide Cottage
We stayed at Tide Cottage and the position opposite the meadow park was lovely. We enjoyed walking around the village and enjoyed a lovely meal at the White Horse. The cottage was nice, perhaps a bit cramp downstairs for 7 people. The owners had obviously spent time and money furnishing the cottage nicely. The one complaint we have was that the two double matresse's were very thin and needed replacing. The single beds were ok. The bedding though was lovely. The microwave was dirty and the kettle also needed descaling. Otherwise the cottage was lovely and really quiet location.

Tide Cottage Summer Break
• the beds were very uncomfortable upstairs - you could feel the springs through the mattresses. • one downstairs shower was not adequate for 3 grown adults. We had to share the shower which was in an ensuite. One of the adults was a man !! No privacy for occupant of downstairs bedroom. Upstairs bath has a hand held shower, great for bathing kids but putting in a shower curtain and fixing the shower up the wall would mean upstairs adult guests would have a shower. • putting blackout blinds or curtains in the bedroom would be useful in the Summer as the bedroom is lit up like Blackpool first thing in the morning! • kitchen needed extra things such as a knife block and a wooden cutting board. No knives for cutting and cooking and all chopping board were plastic. Not sure if the worktops are heat proof or not. • garden furniture needed cleaning as it was covered in green mould! There were no seat covers or parasol provided but it was a north facing garden and it would have been good to know that. We would recommend this property but with the above caveats. Not sure we would recommend a dog as there are carpets everywhere including the lounge and it will be very expensive in the winter for the owners to keep it clean.

Fabulous Cottage
Lovely cottage. Everything you need is there. Thank you for the crisps and wine. We were very near to Hunstanton Beach which is beautiful. The town is nearby so shopping is easy. Near this cottage is a park that I could walk my dogs in early in the morning. The downstairs bedroom and shower was perfect for my friend who cant manage stairs. We had a great week and I'd love to go there again.

Lovely cottage
Lovely comfortable and cosy cottage. It was spotlessly clean and provided everything that you might need for a great stay. The only thing that needed changing was the frying pan that had seen its day. Would (will) come again.

Holme from Home
Second stay at Tide Cottage and will definitely return again. Love the added extra of wine and crisps upon arrival. The lounge has lots of games, dvds and books which are fab for a cosy day in. Cooking and kitchen facilities are great although could do with replacing some chipped cups and bowls. Cottage is in a great location with a short walk to fabulous pub and beach - cannot wait to return!

Christmas Break.
When we arrived,we found the heating for the house but not the kitchen floor. The switch was hidden by the curtain.A notice might have helped. We were cooking a Christmas meal and found the oven very dirty as if it had not been cleaned for ages. The same with the tins to go in the oven. The glasses were disgusting ,a rim of what ever round all the wine glasses.I put a whole bag of salt in the dishwasher and it still did not fill it up.The rinser aid was there but I do not think anyone used it! The shower was very good. The bathroom upstairs was disappointing as we could not get the shower head to work! The sofas were comfortable .The television was a little disappointing as we could not get Classic Radio. The white towels were lovely and soft but the green ones were not. Going back to our main meal ,there was no carving knife to use. Parking was a bit of an issue .The man next door went away but did not tell us as we could have brought our other car in off that busy road.Unfortunately we left a few things behind ,we have reported it but have not heard anything. We will be very upset if we do not get them back. However, saying all that we had a lovely time .

A nice cottage
Tide cottage is a lovely cottage on pedlar's way just s short distance from the beach at holme. The cottage was clean and comfortable with 2 double bedrooms, 1 twin and 1 with a bunk for kids. The interior of the property is well maintained and the small enclosed rear garden is a bonus. The only issue might be the shared driveway with the property next door....who have 2 vehicles, meaning really there is only room for 1 car or people carrier. But for a single vehicle family this isn't an issue. Despite being a non detached property, the cottage seems well soundproofed and we only knew the "neighbours" were in by their cars coming or going. Overall a nice property which we would be happy to use again
