This charming Lakeland cottage is set in a rural location of Ruthwaite and sleeps four people in two bedrooms.

Barn Roost is a charming family cottage that is pet friendly and sleeps 4 people in a rural location of Ruthwaite.  The cottage has two first floor bedrooms, 1 double bedroom with feature beams and 1 bunk bedroom with bunk beds suitable for children only.  There is a shared family bathroom with a shower over the bath, basin and WC.  Downstairs is a fully equipped kitchen, where you can expect everything you need to enjoy a self-catering holiday, with a lovely dining area which leads onto a beautiful lounge with a cosy wood multi fuel stove, where you can unwind with a glass of wine after a day on the fells.  There is a conservatory that you can use to dry out your walking clothes and has access to a secure garden for your pets.

Amenities: Central heating. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, washer/dryer, dishwasher, Smart TV with Love Films, i-Player, DVD and CD player, WiFi. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Secure garden with patio. Parking for 1 car, also parking on available. Three well-behaved pets welcome. No smoking. Pub 1 mile away, shops and restaurants 15 min drive. Logs not provided.

Full of history, the peaks of Great Calva and Knott look down on the village and you can visit the site of the Bronze Age farms and the remains of a pre-Roman road. Nearby will find you Bassenthwaite Lake, the perfect place to wander and explore the beautiful scenery. Cockermouth and Keswick are both nearby towns with plenty of shops and restaurants to offer. Ireby is set in a tranquil area, ideal for those looking to getaway at any time of year.
