About this property
12 Bay View - Three Bedroom House, Sleeps 5
A private terrace with stunning sea and harbour views awaits you at 12 Bay View in Porthleven. Recently refurbished, this three bedroomed house which sleeps 5 people and 2 dogs, provides modern, contemporary living whilst still maintaining many of the original features associated with a property of this era. There are amazing sea views from the majority of the rooms and the seating in the open-plan lounge/diner has been carefully placed to make the most of them. Cosy window seats with plumped up cushions make it hard to tear yourself away from the views.
Porthleven has arguably the most impressive harbour in Cornwall with construction commencing during Napoleonic times and some sources state that it was built with the aid of French prisoners of war. Small fishing boats land their daily catch in the harbour, much of which is sold in Porthleven cafes and restaurants and the award winning Quayside Fishmongers. 12 Bay View has the best of both worlds - it’s just a few minutes’ walk from the village centre, yet is in a quiet location. A trip to the nearby Penrose Estate is a must during your holiday. Owned by the National Trust, it features woodland tracks, stretches of coastline and open parkland set around Cornwall's largest natural lake.
