On Kauai's north shore in the charming town of Hanalei, this Hawaiian plantation-style home is very comfortable and has a fenced yard that is ideal for families.

Its location across the street from a beach access path makes it a very short walk to the beach at crescent-shaped Hanalei Bay. This white sand beach invites leisurely strolls along the shore as well as your other favorite ocean and beach activities. Feel free to bring a picnic lunch and just relax to the sights and sounds of the surf.

Virtually every place in Hanalei is an easy walk from Pauole including restaurants, shops and the post office. Enjoy the relaxed ambiance and unhurried pace of Hanalei as you saunter through town. A fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to enjoy meals at home or choose from a nice variety of eateries when dining out.

Don’t Judge by its Cover
Driving up to the property hat has some cute and updated looking properties brings a bit of disappointment when you realize this is the house. But then you realize how close the beach path is, and that you can walk to town where the market and shops are. There are fixture updates, but the kitchen needs to be updated, too. But, again, if they do update, then this property may then be out of our budget. A great place overall.

This house is the best for Hanalei beach location. You walk across the street to the beach and you are in paradise. A short walk and you are in town. Great place for a family with everything you will need. We can not wait to come back. The perfect place for a relaxing week in paradise.

We prefer to experience real life on the island and this home offered nothing but that. No air conditioning, no problem. Just walk across the street and take a dip in the ocean! Duh! The home was very comfortable, inviting and clean. The location is top notch. For our family of 4 it was perfect. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home with our family. And for sharing your families story of this lovely abode! The management team is super communicative and friendly. We will be back!

You are getting one of the best prices in Hanalei and there's a reason for it. The house needs work. The Mattresses are new but the rest of the house is not and because the house isn't raised it can get hot because there isn't much breeze.

Everything one would need for a relaxing & enjoyable stay. Plenty of room (inside & out) for families to have a fantastic vacation. And the best part is how close it is to the beach (the beach path is steps away) & close enough to town, you can leave your car at the house & just walk whenever you want to head into town. Quiet & peaceful (not to mention the roosters & chirping birds to start your day in the traditional Hanalei way;). This our go to place to stay when visiting Kauai!

Roosters crowed all night (as they do in Hanalei), but halfway thru our stay the next door neighbors had someone remove a flock (?) of them nesting trees/brush, which quieted things down (thank you, neighbors!). We've rented in Hanalei many, many times and would return to Pauole.

Great location and lovely cottage on serene grounds— wonderful stay steps to Hanalei bay and beach as well as town. We appreciated the eco conscious living, outdoor shower/ no shoe policy to keep the interior clean and fans/multiple windows to keep cool.

Everything was clean, kitchen was well stocked including some seasonings and even Tupperware which was very helpful. The views from the backyard are amazing, you can see waterfalls out the window, and helpful having the yard gated so kids can safely run around. Boogie boards, umbrella, 6 beach chairs, and even floats and sand toys were available. Location can’t be beat. Walkway to the beach is right across the street, and it’s a less crowded part of the beach since the public parking lot isn’t too close by. Communication was great, quick responses to any questions I had along the way, and when the road to Hanalei was shut down on our arrival day due to flooding, the vacation rental company reached out to us to offer an alternate accommodation in princeville, and stayed in communication after hours so we weren’t stranded. Would absolutely stay here again, and definitely will rent through Kauai vacation rentals in the future!

Wonderful home!
We had an amazing time staying at the Pauole house! It’s an adorable cottage with all the amenities you could possibly need (microwave, charcoal grill, washer/dryer, rice cooker, slow cooker, pots/pans, big bowls for mixing and even stuff for baking) Location CANNOT be beat, right across street from beach trail and less than 5 minute walk to town. House was very clean, beds were comfortable (4 beds in all - great for myself, my boyfriend & his kids as well as a family friend to all stay & sleep comfortably). Newer TV with cable & wi-fi was an excellent connection. Outdoor shower is great for after surfing & with hot water too! Checking in/out was very easy & good communication overall. Would definitely stay here again!! Mahalo for a wonderful & smooth island adventure :)

Backyard was extremely spacious with amazing views that we will never forget. We have already decided that there is nowhere else we would consider staying when traveling to Kauai. The one thing that could be improved is the queen mattress/box spring in the secondary bedroom. Other than that, everything was perfect

Furnishings could use updating, but the space was perfect for us. Two twin beds in the side bonus room allowed all 3 kids to have their own bed. Great yard with no house behind and view of mountains. Grab an avocado from the tree if you can reach it. Location can't be beat, cool beach access path right across the street 2 minutes to the sand. 5 minute walk going the other way to get to restaurants/shops. There were beach chairs, umbrella and 2 boogie boards. Kauai vacation rentals were responsive to our requests. Would stay here again.

Not fancy but everything works and it's a very practical home for life by the beach. We particularly liked the outdoor showers, lanai, extra beach chairs and umbrella, boogie boards and other leftovers that guests have donated. Don't expect luxury living as the home itself has a practical and basic interior. Nothing wrong with it at all but just something you should know in case you like more luxury. The biggest plus of this property is its location with a path to the beach right across the street. Look forward to coming again and enjoying the home, sizeable yard and 'Scott' the Rooster who patrols the garden and gets you up early for your day.

The location is incredible, across the street from the beach and a block and a half to all the shops and we woke to a symphony of birds every morning. So restorative.The house is really well appointed with outdoor toys and chairs, kitchen with many cooking things and tools, etc. We loved how the house is more original to the town with the slatted glass windows that allowed a lovely breeze through. We all loved the outdoor shower. Everything was so clean. I loved walking to the coffee shops every morning for breakfast and greeting the locals. I want to live here forever.
