Great for small family or 2 couples...or a single couple wanting room to roam. 4 adults max plus small child. Decorated Mid-Century modern to match the style of the home.

Major remodel completed late spring 2016. High end features, not your usual vacation rental in this area. 1100 sq ft open floor plan with oversized 2 car attached garage. Everything brand new including all appliances, fixtures, furniture, beds, bedding etc. 2BR, 1 & 1/2 bath.

Central air. All new electrical, plumbing and mechanicals, everything to modern code for your safety and comfort.

Spectrum cable internet (100 Mbps free wifi), Hulu Live, Disney +, Max, Netflix and Amazon Prime as well as Amazon Music included. 49 inch Samsung series 8 smart TV.

2 nearly identical bedrooms (12 x 12) with large walk in closets. 1 large spa-like bath (8 x 10) with large tub/shower combo. 2 sinks on 8 ft counter. Full size washer and dry on main floor near half bath mudroom area garage entry.

Good water views from large picture windows. Very nice well developed roadside park across the street with picnic tables and access to water on West Bay if you're bringing kayaks.

Wide deep lot with mature trees. House is set back from the road with long circle drive for safe exits. Great if you're towing a boat.

Large very private shaded back yard with new large concrete patio, grill and fire pit...serene..beautiful in a very simple way with lots of myrtle and ivy. Vintage Woodard dining set. Tall steep tree covered hill beyond back yard with no houses above (we own the top of the hill for something like another 400ft). Climb it if you'd like to look around.

Another patio out front with table for two....morning coffee, sunrise over the bay.

Close enough to downtown TC and very convenient to explore all the great things Leelanau County has to offer.

Please note that we are now being regulated by local government and we must comply to maintain our license to operate .... so you must also. It's easy. Basically, don't disturb the neighbors. No events or parties. No RVs, tents, campers. If you invite guests they must leave during quiet hours. 10 pm - 8 am weekdays, 11 pm weekends.

Weekend in TC

This is an absolutely beautiful property. It was clean and well stocked with basic items. The furniture and decor was very stylish and comfortable. Communication with the owner was great. Honestly, we travel quite a bit and this is probably the best rental we've stayed in. We will absolutely be back the next time we come to Traverse City.

We'll be back!

Great spot for a variety of people - but particularly for a young family in the off season. The house was warm and inviting - and FULL of toys, books, children's bath towels, everything and anything you would need to have a getaway with little ones. We so appreciated the small touches that made our lives, and stay, easier. It was lovely to wake up to the view of the bay. Perfect location for a winter vacation - easy to get to any and all places along the Peninsula, or head into TC. Absolutely recommend!

Girls Weekend

Couples weekend turned into just the girls and this house was perfect! Great location, view of the water and changimg colors in the back yard. Cute, clean and very accommodating. This house would also be great for a family with young kids. It had games, puzzles, books, sippy cups, and bath toys. All the items were nicley tucked away nicely. Loved this because the house did not reflect this.

So comfortable -so convenient

This property was as lovely as listed, generously stocked with everything needed for a home away from home. Conveniently located near to Traverse City and all the sites and tastes of the peninsula. Nice view of the west bay. Busy road out front but not so distracting as some reviews suggest. Gorgeous yard out back. Two senior couples really enjoyed our time together here and would love to return.

Couldn’t have asked for anything more. Location great for what we wanted to do. We explored the Suttons Bay area to Northport to Leland to Empire, the Sleeping Bear dune area. Also went to the Mission Peninsula. It was great to come back to a very clean and neatly decorated home.

This house is immaculate, it has everything you need and is located in the perfect spot to visit TC Sutton’s Bay, do wine testing etc. Would recommend!! The backyard is perfect, the water view is nice!

Loved this house, so cute & perfect location!

Four of us girlfriends stayed at this house for an annual girls trip and we absolutely loved it. Very clean and spacious. We loved the big bedrooms, large bathroom and the extra half bath. The backyard was perfect for enjoying coffee and breakfast every morning. The view from inside was awesome, looking out at the water. Quick drive to downtown as well as all of the wineries we enjoyed! I would highly recommend this rental!!!

Call getaway

Tammy’s place was so cute, keeping the theme of when the house was built. I loved that shoes were required to be off (as I am also a no shoes in the house person), and the place was so clean I didn’t feel uncomfortable doing that! This location was about two miles or so west out of town. Not a far drive to either peninsula, and was a beautiful location right across from the water. Our friends who stayed with us were also super impressed with the location and property. Check in was seamless (we even got to check in 30 minutes early), and Tammy had a bottle from a local winery in the fridge waiting for us. Thank you for a great stay!

Great jumping off point

The spot and the house worked out great for us. We booked it so that we could go in different directions, and see all of M22, the peninsula, Charlevoix, Petoskey, and Harbor Springs/Tunnel of Trees. It was easy to get anywhere from there, with a nice view of the water as a bonus. Super simple getting in, and the house was exactly as pictured.

Picture Window Perfect

Mid century mod was one of the nicest properties we’ve stayed at over the years of vacationing in MI. It was not only neat and clean, it was comfortable and roomy. It had everything we needed in the kitchen and the bathroom had ample towels and other supplies. Looking out at West Bay from the window with morning coffee was sublime. Great home base for Traverse City!

My wife and I stayed in another property owned by Tammy last year, and we wanted to book the same one for our annual trip, but that house was already booked during the time that we were going to be in town, but I reached out to her, and she pointed me toward this other very similar house that they have about a mile up M-22. This house was great for us, from the location to the great back yard and fire pit, and the nicely appointed and decorated interior. It really was perfect for us. I'd highly recommend it for anyone with a small group looking for a home base for a Traverse City trip. Tammy is also very responsive, and was nice enough to provide a welcome bottle of local sprarkling wine, which was a nice touch! We'll definitely be looking to stay here again in the future.

Beautiful Home

The home was very clean with a beautifully shaded backyard. It was 10 min to Sue town Traverse City. centrally located to visit Sleeping Bear Dunes, Glen Arbor, Suttons Bay and Leland. A 2 hour drive to the Mackinac Ferry. We only had 1 day of rain and fully enjoyed the weather and outdoor activities. We enjoyed our stay.

Perfect base for exploring TC and Leelanau County

The house is in a very good location for access to Traverse City (5 minutes), and great for traveling to areas in Leelanau County. The overall design/ arrangement of the house is pleasant, comfortable, and equipped with anything you might need. It went well beyond expectations for a vacation rental, having so many extra smaller details considered and provided for. The yard is private and relaxing place to spend time.

Traverse City Geocache Vacation

The two of us recently spent 18 days geocaching in Kentucky, Indiana and Michigan where we stayed a week at the Beautiful Lake House. And it was a beautiful stay! The home is exactly as described and has a wonderful connection to the lake and Traverse City. Our host, Tammy, was gracious and always available if we needed something. Tammy is a great communicator! The kitchen was well appointed and we cooked some pretty fabulous meals. The back yard grill and outdoor dining table was a super plus. We really appreciated the washer and dryer. The spacious living area, was amazingly comfortable with beautiful views of the water and sun rise. The perfect place for a glass of wine. The location is centrally located to many of the sights in and around Traverse City. From here we ventured to several quaint small towns, numerous hiking trails, Sleeping Bear Dunes and lots of Geocaches. The highlight was the oldest Michigan cache on Marion/Power Island. Thank you Captain Mike. It was a real home away from home :) Thank you for sharing!

Perfect vacation location

We stayed in this cute home for only two nights, but it was the best part of our whole Michigan tour! The decor is so adorable, and everything you could possibly need is available to have a relaxing vacation. The backyard is beautiful and the fire pit was so fun! I've lived in Traverse City my whole life and my husband since 1988. We live on West Bay Shore Dr just down the road. This is our first rental property and we are excited to help you have a great experience in and around Traverse City. We have lots of local knowledge and advice to offer.

Why they chose this property

Great location for experiencing everything Traverse City and Leelanau county have to offer. Minutes from downtown Traverse City. Easy drive to many local wineries and beaches or day trips to Suttons Bay, Leland, Glen Arbor, and Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore.

Close to TART trail. Bike to Suttons Bay for lunch. Unfortunately M22, aka West Bay Shore is not safe for biking so you'll need a bike carrier. We do have a few extra bikes, bike trailer, and tag-a-long to lend if needed. Highly recommend biking the TART trail and Heritage Trail at Sleeping Bear.

What makes this property unique

Across street from a very nice roadside park on West Bay. Not much of a beach but OK spot to launch kayak or get your feet wet if you want.

Set back from the road on a nice deep lot with circle drive for easy in and out even with your boat in tow. Large 2 car garage can accommodate a 23 ft boat and trailer if under 7 ft tall.

Launch your boat at 4 different sites only a few minutes away. 2 on West Bay. Head over to West End Beach or Clinch Park or run out to Power Island.

Or explore Lake Leelanau, Stop at the sand bar across from the nearby launch on South Lake Leelanau for awhile then head north through the narrows to North Lake Leelanau and head into Leland. Park your boat at "The Riv" and have an awesome dinner on the back patio overlooking the river. Back home before sunset.

Or hit nearby Cedar Lake, small and smooth with slalom course if you're into water skiing.
