This 5th floor unit is nicely decorated and has tile floors throughout the unit. The living room features a sofa sleeper as well a reclining chair. You will enjoy the fully equipped kitchen when preparing meals and just love the gulf front balcony located off of the living room. Sunswept is situated directly on the sugar-white beach that separates you from the emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico. This Orange Beach condo is just six miles east of Gulf Shores, Alabama. You will find modern shopping facilities directly across the street. Churches, 10 first class golf courses, and fishing are only a short drive away.

Best Two Week Vacation Thus Far

Quick getaway
We booked this condo a few days prior to arrival since our usual condo choices were already full when we decided to take this trip. It is an older unit/complex; however, staff were on hand daily keeping the property clean. The condo itself was very clean as well. Be aware that this is not one of the newer, state-of-the-art complexes, but it is well taken care of and is a very short walk to the beach. We would stay here again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was okay. Smell from the Disposal system or the incoming air. Put lemon down the disposal and it seemed to help. Hardly any storage in the kitchen. Small extra bathroom. Bed was comfortable, but room really small. The remote in the bedroom did not work and unplugged TV so it would shut off. When leaving found out the door would not lock. This was distrubing.

We found the sliding door handles fell off, they had a stick behind the sliding door as a security s
They don’t give enough characters tell you about the broken lock that fell off, the spiders, the sink and drains that don’t work. Mildew on the sleeper sofa, the heater stunk up the whole hotel room. There are better rooms. At local hotels, my friends found them after we checked into this maintenance missing used to be nice rooms. Not hard to do better by calling the front desk number of almost any hotels around.

Needs a deep cleaning. Linens were clean but the baseboards, vents, closet, shower faucet handle, all need to be deep cleaned or replaced. The chair in living room needs to be replaced, It’s old & stained/worn. We did not feel the comfort of staying in a clean place. The building is old and in need of a refresh.

Good location
Very good location. Right on the beach and around all shops you would need. Condo was ok. Could have been cleaned better. Noticed mold or mildew on couch and lampshades in living room. Sliding glass door on the balcony did not close all of the way. Bedroom linens were stained and quit was very old and worn, could definitely use some updating. Most reviews mentioned the bed sucked, but it truly wasn’t bad. AC is in the bedroom and it does make a very loud noise when turning on, I’d suggest bringing something to drown out the noise. Washer and dryer worked great. Overall the complex was nice, front office people were very friendly. Very nice pool area, and you can’t beat being steps away from the beach.

Enjoyed our stay. Hated to leave. Condo could be cleaner & more up to date. Only a child size dresser in bedroom. No place to put your luggage Management not the best. They don't tell you you only get 1 garbage bag, one roll of toilet paper, 1 roll of paper towels. .Be sure to bring your own. One good point there are plenty of luggage caddies to haul your luggage in. Two working elevators too.

I did not realize the bedroom was on the front side of the condo area, vs the back as I enjoy listening to the waves at night. We did try to use the sofa bed in order to stay in the living room area - but that mattress needs to be updated as its a little worn. Construction and repainting the building was going on while we were there but it did not interfere with our stay. Good place to stay, we will be back.

Long Weekend Getaway

Reviewer Comments: We received two email communications with conflicting times about checking in, which was not a big deal, but I also received a voicemail the day before saying that I needed to contact the property management company about check-in. I work fulltime, so by the time I got the message and was able to call, I had to leave a voicemail. No return call. Fast forward to the next day. Mind you, I had left several messages hoping someone would call me back. There was a note on the door saying they were closed for the day and to check back in the morning. Well, where were we supposed to stay that night?! Called the emergency number that was posted 3 times, talking to 3 different people and no one was able to help us or get anyone to call us back. A simple email or voicemail with the box code to be able to access our packet would have been great. Got a hotel for the night and went back the next day. Very unprofessional property manager, not taking any responsibility for not actually making contact with us, blaming the emergency number people for not doing their job, and a refusal to give us credit for the previous night. Loved the property and our stay, but we will never use Coastal Properties again.

The property, and unit we rented, was as advertised. The unit was clean and as pictured. The location was excellent. Access to the beach was great. We'd definitely stay here again, if we come back to this area.
