We have just added a little cabin that is about 250 Sq Ft. It is nestled up in the trees at the back of our property. It is in our back yard, you can see the back of our house. But it is quiet and we give you your privacy. It will only sleep two people. It is compact so it will be a tight squeeze for some and not huge head room for some. But it is cute and will be a great getaway cabin. It has a two door dorm fridge and microwave. We also have a gas grill and charcoal grill on porch for your use. Because it is a small cabin we have not allowed for indoor cooking as it tends to linger and permeate the interior. It has everything you need for grilling and microwaving your meals. And all your towels and linens . It is wifi and tv friendly. Guests staying longer than 4 days are responsible for washing their own sheets and towels. We will restock toilet paper and paper towel on request

I had stayed here before, the property was nice the 1st time so chose it again. Make sure to remember that the waterheater is small and plan your shower accordingly. The property accommodates quite nice in the Lufkin area.
I was in town celebrating with family. This little cabin was perfect! I began each day at leisure in a cozy setting. I ended each day in comfortable retreat. It was clean and well stocked with everything I needed plus some special treats. I highly recommend staying here.
Stayed while visiting family for the holidays overall a very relaxing stay, private and an overall great home base for staying has everything you need!
This cabin was exactly what we needed for a short weekend getaway. It was well stocked with all the essentials and everything was very clean and comfortable. Would recommend!!
This quaint cabin was PERFECT for me and my boyfriend! It was just the two of us and there was plenty of room and privacy. The location is very peaceful and quiet while not being too far from town. Thank you to the Tiptons!!!
We felt out in the woods but the cabin is within driving distance to restaurants or shopping or hiking. The cabin is big enough for two and has everything one might need for a short stay. The bed and linens were so comfortable, and it was very easy to communicate with the owner. Enjoyed our stay very much.
My wife and I are searching for a retirement home and love the South. There were several listings in area so the cabin made a great home base. It is clean, amenities are close, and the front porch is a great place to kick back and enjoy the sunset after a day on the road.
Loved this property and the owners are both so sweet and friendly! We would love to stay again when we visit our daughter while she is away at college. Great size for two people. Bed is comfortable and the cabin is supplied with everything you need. Banana bread was wonderful and a nice hospitality touch!
My wife and I have stayed twice at Carolyn’s property. Both places are nice, neat and clean. Beds are very comfortable. All the amenities that you need are there. Give her a try, you won’t regret it.
This little cabin was equipped with all that we needed in comfort and style. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit and gas grill!
The cable TV was a plus too. And the price is very budget friendly! Thank you for being a 5 star hostess!!

Cosy!
The property is adorable and perfectly cosy! It is small but was perfect for just me and would be great for a couple wanting to get away. It was clean and had everything I needed along with a comfy bed! My son goes to college at SFA so I plan on staying here again, when visiting, even though there are closer places to stay.
They had everything we needed for a relaxed stay. We enjoyed Cal and Carolyn's conversations. Thanks, and God bless!!

About the host
Hosted by Cal & Carolyn Tipton
My husband, Cal and I are semi retired. He retired from the Lufkin Fire Dept. and I from retail. We build spec homes . Our kids are grown and our grandkids almost. We love to travel and have just recently retired from motorcycle traveling because of accident on one. We have rode in every state except Alaska. We are now starting to Rv around the states and hope that is some new adventures for us.
Why they chose this property
If you like to have that country feel without being so far out that you are not near things to do, we are the place. These two accommodations are at the back of our property but in viewing distance of our home. It is quite and serene here with trees and bird viewing. We respect your privacy but will gladly have long conversations outside on the patio if that is your thing. We are only 3.4 miles from the loop in Lufkin and your availability to many restaurants and downtown or shopping. I have a lot of pamphlets for you to read on area things to do. We are available 24 hrs aday to help in anyway we can.
