This new Cape Style home on six secluded acres has beautiful mountain vistas and is a perfect peaceful getaway any time of the year. Centrally located near both 7 Springs and Hidden Valley ( 5 miles to either) nestled between Laurel Ridge and Laurel Hill State Parks and near the Great Allegheny Passage for countless outdoor recreational opportunities. This spacious home has an open floor plan featuring a Cathedral style window wall flooding the living areas with natural light, opening onto a furnished wrap around deck. The first floor includes a master bedroom queen size with full bath and walk in closet. A second queen bedroom and a full bath with tub/shower. Fully equipped kitchen, full size laundry. The open concept living area has a wood burning fireplace and a 42" flat screen Smart TV and a Bose stereo/cd player. The second floor loft houses a quiet retreat with its wood ceiling and cozy reading area. It also provides a bedroom with two double beds and an ensuite bathroom featuring a multi jet glass shower. A single bed sleeping area is tucked away at the top of the stairs. Private yet accessible peaceful and serene with seasonal activities all year long.

A perfect ski retreat!

Lovely property. The owner of the property is so kind and even called us a few days before the arrival date to provide extra info about the property. About 15 minutes from Seven Springs ski resort and make sure you have at a minimum all-wheel-drive vehicles.

Awesome Place, Great Location

We loved our stay at 7 Springs! The house is very cozy and roomy. Super close to 7 Springs resort (less than 15 minutes). I'm rarely this forthcoming and friendly about the places we stay at but I found everything about the home to be great. The rooms, bathrooms, woodburning fireplace, kitchen pots/pans, etc...were all fantastic and Jim was great to deal with and was super responsive to our questions. We were there during the winter so we didn't get a chance to explore the surroundings too much but the accommodations outside of the house seemed like they would be great as well.

Great cabin/house in the woods!

Everything was great. Jim was very informative when he gave us property information for check-in. The house was clean and welcoming...he even had the fire place ready to start, so all we had to do was light it! Check in and out was easy and the place was well stocked. If there is snow, you will need 4-wheel or all wheel drive. We wish we would have been able to stay longer!

Wonderful stay

Well-equipped home with everything we needed for our stay to be comfortable, from a fully-stocked kitchen, to board games for entertainment, plenty of firewood to keep us warm, and a fun hill to sled. Very responsive host. Will stay again.

Good family get-away

We enjoyed our time to be away as a family. We went to 7 Springs to tube for a few hours and ate 1 meal there, but otherwise relaxed at the house. It was good family time.

Great Visit

Ski getaway

We loved our stay for our weekend ski trip to Seven Springs and Hidden Valley. The home and setting were beautiful. We appreciated the well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and fireplace ready to go. The loft area was a great fit for the three kids. Thanks, Jim!

Perfect Ski Getaway with our Family and Friends

We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Barnview. The location was just a short distance from Seven Springs where we skied for the weekend. When we weren't skiing, we cooked using the well-stocked kitchen, played many games, and watched football. We especially enjoyed the fireplace that kept us warm and comfortable during our stay. We'll definitely be back.

Gorgeous house and great location for seven springs

Jim’s place was perfect for our ski weekend. 15 minutes from Seven Springs and we could sled down his driveway. Pro tip would be to bring a 4 wheel drive vehicle - our minivan couldn’t make it up the driveway but we managed just fine (had to walk our bags up). Place is way more updated/modern than the pictures show. Overall it was fabulous and very clean/well stocked. We would definitely stay again. Jim is a very kind and helpful host. Enjoy!

Darn Mother Nature!

We booked the property for a family get-away and ski trip. The house was beautiful and immaculate. The view from the house of the surrounding farm and rolling hills was breathtaking. That being said, unfortunately Mother Nature decided to dip the temperature that day to -9 and the pipes at the property were frozen. Jim (owner) visited the property in the morning and made sure the drive was plowed, heat was on and all was well. The temps dipped in the afternoon before we arrived. Jim was responsive and very apologetic. He initiated a full refund. We will definitely book again and look forward to enjoying this beautiful property. For those traveling to ski at Seven Springs, it is only a 7 minute drive from the resort. I recommend having a 4-wheel drive as there are some hills to climb.

Family Wedding Weekend

The house was great, just as advertised. The sunset views were amazing and the wildlife (turkey & deer) were very cool. We had 3 couples and it was perfect , 3 bedrooms and we each had our own bath.

Breathtaking View

This is the house if you relax with gorgeous views. Setting on top of a hill, renters look over a beautiful barn, fields and woods. At one point, we could see 27 deer! The house design is family friendly, to the point our grandkids (5 and 8) wanted us to buy the house so they could visit us there all the time! We will rent again when we can enjoy the beautiful deck and yard area.

Great property about 12 min drive to Seven Springs

This house was great. We had a great stay and managed to get some snow while we were there. The owner even put out sldes which was great for the the kids. It has a nice open layout making it easy for everyone to enjoy the fire and converse while meals are being made. If it's snowing, make sure you have 4 wheel drive - it was a must with the snowy conditions and the slope of the driveway.

New Years Weekend Getaway

What a beautiful home, and private location. Would highly recommend! Many amenities and a very spacious house. We gave a try at pizza making. Turned out pretty good. James has all the supplies and utensils to use for the oven and fire pit. The resort was about a 10 min drive.

Laurel Highlands Thanksgiving

Property was easy to find and effectively accommodated our family Thanksgiving retreat to the Laurel Highlands. The wood burning fireplace was a hit and the house kept us warm, cozy and sheltered during an overnight winter storm. Explored nearby attractions of covered bridges, hiking in state park and special dinner at Helen's at Seven Springs. Owner specified directions and manuals for the property were helpful.

Beautiful getaway

College reunion

4 friends met for a college reunion weekend. Jim was an awesome property manager with timely response and great information. The house was a perfect location for hiking, biking and sightseeing. We used the pizza oven and grill and had room to sleep all comfortably. Great stay and highly recommend the property.
