This tastefully furnished and very comfortable cottage, with its sheltered, private walled courtyard garden, lies right in the heart of the picturesque, ancient town of Lostwithiel, Cornwall. With shops, restaurants, pubs, golf and riverside park just a short stroll, it is the perfect base for a peaceful holiday. The surrounding countryside is a walkers’ paradise. The local train station is a short walk away giving easy access to many fine parts of Cornwall. Fowey’s colourful old houses and quaint narrow streets, Charlestown’s harbour and tall ships, and Eden Project are a short drive away.

The living room with dining area to one end, boasts a comfortable sofa and is a great place to relax in front of the log fire at the end of the day.
In the kitchen you will find utensils and appliances, so should you wish you can cook and eat in.The secluded courtyard has patio furniture and weather permitting invites breakfast “al fresco”.

If you are a Kayaker then the tidal river Fowey runs through the town and gives access to many creeks, Fowey and the estuary, the courtyard at Geranium Cottage will give you secure storage for your Kayak whilst enjoying your stay.

Train Station, 5 Minute Walk-Main Line South West Trains (Not only does this give you access to the cottage and this part of Cornwall without a car but the train is a great way of exploring further west during your holiday and avoiding sitting in traffic jams at the more popular destinations like St Ives) .

And things we would draw to your attention:

Firstly, Geranium cottage is just that - a traditional stone cottage in a small Cornish town, headroom in the beamed kitchen and bathroom is manageable but quite low.
The cottage is on two storeys and the staircase is steep,so probably not suitable for the less mobile and there are no ground floor bedrooms.
Like most properties in Lostwithiel and many Cornish towns, Geranium Cottage does not have off street parking. Street parking is available (no charge) on a first come, first served basis nearby and there is a large free public car park at the community centre some 500 yards
