About this property

Rural Farm with 2 ha garden forest and lake with own beach in Dalarna

In the Dalarna on the border with Västmanland and with a unique location on the southern tip of Lake Barken lies our farm, which used to be a farmhouse and is surrounded by beautiful meadows, horse pastures and forest.
The 2 ha large plot surrounding the house consists of two uninhabited outbuildings and a barn. A stream meanders around the site to our own beach and deck/bridge. Flower gardens and ecological vegetable- land, barbecue area by the forest mountain above the lake and a huge and lovely lawn that broadly covers the rest of the garden.
Our light & genuine old-timbered farmhouse of 176 m2 is built on two floors and basement with a fantastic view of the lake.
Upstairs is the suite with queenbed, sofa group, TV and fireplace. Freshly new refurbished Bathroom & walking closet with both shower and bath. Entrance level with large spacious fully equipped kitchen and dining area. Teenager room with single bed exterdable for 2 single madrasses together. Beautifully renovated living room (approx. 42 m2) with 2 built-in wooden beds, cosy chimeny , sofa group and dining area with TV and music system. In the basement level, with access to the garden there is a bathroom, shower & laundry room and the sauna.
Cot and baby cot are available if needed.

Only 12 minutes to Fagersta center with train & bus station, shops, restaurants, sports and swimming hall, clothes and much more. From our lake Barken, you can get by boat to Mälaren and Stockholm through Strömsholm's canal and all its locks.
The farm is fantastic to experience during all the seasons of the year. Here you can hike in scenic forests and nearby nature reserves, cycle or ride on forest roads, pick berries and mushrooms, fishing (year-round), canoeing, rowing and motorboats, play golf, sunbathe and swim on your own beach, go wakeboard, water ski and kneeboard, skiing on the slopes, skating, skiing and much more !!. In addition, our location is ideal for day trips to nearby nature and cultural activities, which we are happy to suggest as ...........
Golf course and equestrian center are only 3 km from the farm and Cablepark with water sports activities is 6 km from us. We have canoes, rowing and motor boats, surfboards, bicycles, fishing gear, etc. you can use.

Ein Urlaub absolut ohne Stress !

Die Vermieter war sehr Freundlich und haben uns perfekt in alles eingewiesen. Das Haus sowie das Grundstück sind Riesig und in einem Sehr guten rustikalen Zustand ! Wir waren mit unserer Familie dort und haben sehr viel Spaß gehabt. Der See direkt vor der Haustür mit dem kleinen Motorboot ( Absolutes Highlight der Kinder ) waren einfach wunderschön. Uns war nie Langweilig da wir mit unseren Kindern jeden Tag was unternehmen konnten direkt am Haus. Wer ein paar Tage entschleunigen möchte und mit den Kindern Zeit ohne TV und Internet einfach am Wasser und in der Natur verbringen möchte ist hier am Absolut richtigen Ort ! Vielen Dank !

Amazing garden

The huge and well maintained garden is the highlight of the property. There is a small motorboat, a small rowing boat and several kanoes available. We enjoyed fishing and looking for beavers. The house itself is light and fully equipped, but some parts a bit outdated (for example upstairs shower). The cat is very friendly. There were some issues with the waterpump, communication was friendly and accurate. Because the high price expectation of the house was a bit higher, but we still had a good time.

Beautiful home

We have spent a great week in Nina's and Bosses house with our kids in August 21. Nina and Bosse are truly wonderful hosts: communication was perfect and they have been very supportive throughout our stay. Their home is beautiful and so well taken care of. Many places to play for the kids and a great view on the lake. We have been out fishing several times and caught pike and perch. We can only recommend this charming space!

Lovely house

This house in southern Dalarna is a really lovely one! Although located in a quite rural area there is much to see and experience in the closer surroundings. We stayed there during Christmas and New Year and went two times to Romme Alpin for skiing. Great for children and totally friendly owners! All thumbs up.

A beautiful house in a huge garden with private beach

We spend a wonderful week in Nina’s and Bosses house. We had a very warm welcome, the communication with them was very easy and we were welcomed with a bottle of sparkling wine and some ice-cream. Nina and Bosse made us feel at home immediately. Our kids were all the time outside on the trampoline or on the private beach with surf boards, canoes and lots of toys. I couldn’t get enough of the beautiful view on the lake and enjoyed many beautiful sunsets. We also went fishing and caught some smaller fish. We also went to the cable park and public swimming lake, which we also liked a lot. The riding school close-by was unfortunately closed for holidays. We also visited Stockholm, which is an 2 hour drive away.

Perfekte Familienerholung

Wir haben mit unseren zwei Teenagern zwei wunderschöne Wochen in diesem Haus verbracht. Das Haus bietet jeden Komfort und es ist liebevoll eingerichtet, in traumhafter Lage direkt am See. Der Blick auf den See ist wunderschön, besonders bei Sonnenuntergang. Die Gartenlandschaft ist außergewöhnlich groß und hat eine private Badestelle, die mit Sand angefüllt ist. Mit den vielen Badespielequipments hatten die Kids immer reichlich Spaß, vor allem mit stand-up-paddling. Wir haben uns jeden Tag das Kanu geschnappt und haben die Zeit auf dem See genossen. Draußen kann man übrigens unter vielen Essplätzen wählen. Das Haus ist so groß, dass man sich auch als Familie nicht beengt fühlt. Die Besitzer sind sehr nett. Erholung pur! Dieser Urlaub hat unsere Erwartungen mehr als übertroffen.
