This complex consists of four separate autonomous houses with shared garden and barbecue area and communal swimming pool. Diktamos Villas brings a new style of greek hospitality and are perfect for those who love antiques, classic art pieces and would like to feel like home away from home. Cosiness, homely atmosphere and a high quality of service, all of this you will experience in Diktamos Villas.

These houses sit within a 1,500 m? private estate on the northern coast of Crete, near the town of Rethymnon, in the village of Atsipopoulo.

Villa Notos is a 2 bedroom house (100sqm) can accommodate 4 people in beds and up to 5 people.

Layout

Ground floor

Entering villa you will find an open plan area with the living room with two sofas and coffee table, fully equipped kitchen with dining area. Interior of the villa is designed in traditional style which will bring you sense of coziness and feeling of home away from home. Owner of the complex pays special attention to the small details, paintings on the wall, handmade doormats, house plants, everything is carefully thought out. WC with shower also available on this floor.

First floor

On the first floor guests will find two bedrooms of the Villa, one with double bed (1,60 X 2,00) and built-in wardrobe, while the other one features two single beds (1,00 X 2,00). All bedrooms are air conditioned. Also on first floor is located bathroom with toilet.

Outdoor area
The outdoor area of the complex offers several facilities, shared between the villas, which include:
- A 40 m? communal swimming pool with sun beds, umbrellas and resting area
- Barbecue and outdoor dining area
- Beautiful garden with seating area
- A communal washing machine
- Each villa has it own parking space

Diktamos Villas are built almost in the center of Northern Crete in Atsipopoulo Village, 5 km from Rethymno city.

Atsipopulo is a nice suburb of Rethymnon Town, only 5 km from the city center. There is nothing that you cannot find in Atsipopoulo nowadays, as it has all kinds of shops, supermarkets, bakeries, many restaurants and services. The spot of the complex is ideal for people who want a quiet place to relax but to be close to everything. Furthermore it is a great base for making excursions around Crete as the main national road is only 2 minutes away.

Lovely quiet location

Perfect for unwinding. View from second floor balcony was stunning. Kostas and Maria were amazing. Kostas was there every day attending to whatever we needed. My recommendation would be to bring up Google maps, choose a general location then look to see what local farms, wineries and sights there are. Crete has a lot of this to offer.

Wonderful villa

Properties are very well presented, rustic but modern. Villa owners are amazing, so helpful with advice about trips etc. and Kostas would regularly buy me coffees delivered to the door! Maria owns a restaurant in the old town that is highly recommended, fabulous food and service, including baked goods provided to us at various points whilst we were sat by the pool! The family owners are so friendly, the local village has a couple of great traditional Greek tavernas and the pool is a good size for the property,though note you have to share with other renters (though this was never an issue). Only minor gripe is the shower is very average, and you have to plan a bath 30 minutes in advance,but this is no big deal when you are relaxing and have time on your side! In short, we will definitely be coming back and cannot speak highly enough of the owners, and also Etouri, the property managers, who provided a brilliant WhatsApp concierge service that included restaurant recommendations and bookings,taxi bookings etc. Absolute A+ service from all, thank you (even got a big bottle of olive oil to take home from Maria!).

Wonderful Place

6 tolle Tage an einem wundervollen Ort Wir haben eine tolle Zeit hier verbracht, haben die Ruhe am Pool genossen und die Nähe zu vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Besonders angetan hat es uns Rethymno und ganz besonders die Taverne Knossos. Maria und Kostas waren tolle Gastgeber.

Séjour mitigé

Nous avons réservé la villa Notos pour 4 personnes. L'intérieur est effectivement conforme pour 4 mais la "terrasse" se révèle être un petit balcon avec une table carré pour 2 qui permet juste de prendre un petit déjeuner. Nous avons trouvé que la villa n'était pas propre à notre arrivée notamment les toilettes au rez de chaussée, cassés et souillés ! Le système pour la douche à l'étage était lui aussi cassé. Le propriétaire s'est montré gentil avec nous en nous offrant notamment le repas à notre arrivée mais trop intrusif à notre goût.

Tipps für Ausflüge sowie nette kulinarische Aufmerksamkeiten der Vermieter haben uns den Aufenthalt in diesem kleinen Ort nahe Rethymnon genießen lassen. Kleine Besorgungen sind problemlos vor Ort zu erledigen, für mehr Touristentrubel kann man das nahegelegene Rethymnon schnell erreichen. Wir haben eine schöne erholsame Woche mit viel purem Griechenlandflair erlebt.

A wonderfully relaxing stay in a beautiful villa

Kostas welcomed us on our first day (we did get a bit lost) and prepared us a lovely welcome meal of meat, rice and salad. All lovely! The villa was well equipped, with ample towels, cooking equipment and glassware etc. The decor inside and outside was beautiful and very in keeping with the locale - you can tell an artist's eye helped to create it. The setting was beautiful, with views of the sea and a nearby supermarket and tavernas. We visited Knossos, the restaurant owned by Maria, Kostas's wife in Rethymnon, and were treated like queens! Beautiful food, wonderful service, highly recommended. Our only criticisms are that the oven was one of those plug-in ones, and a little unsteady on its shelf, but I doubt most people would want to use it! And while we were lucky enough to have the pool to ourselves, I can imagine if the villas were fully booked it could get a little crowded. But then we were real sunloungers, so most probably wouldn't find it a problem. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely visit again. Thank you!

Perfect little paradise

Beautiful and charming villas with a lovely garden. It's very quiet and there's no traffic noise. The beach is only some minutes away but our kids also just loved the pool at the villa. Maria and Kostas are doing everything to make your stay a perfect stay giving all sort of good advice on which places to visit and where to eat. Btw Maria has a lovely restaurant called Knossos in the old Venetian port, just a great place to eat. We will come back for sure :-)

Excellent !

Villa très propre, conforme à la description. Idéalement située pour qui dispose d'un véhicule. Mention spéciale pour Constantin (son accueil, ses cadeaux, sa gentillesse et ses efforts pour parler français) et Maria (sa gentillesse, son accueil et ses bons petits plats) dont nous recommandons le restaurant sur le port de Rethymno
