Wonderful stay in Porto

The home is spacious, clean and with excellent views. Convenient to the Porto center without all the craziness. Helena was gracious and fkexible. Unit was well stocked. Would definitely return

Perfect place!

We loved our stay here! Helena was wonderful with connecting woth us before our stay, and was accessible if we needed her. We loved the location. The apartment was spotless and had all the amenities we needed. Everything from shops, to groceries, to sites and restaurants, were all with in walking distance. The bonus of course was the view! A beautiful sunrise in the morning on one side of the apartment to a gorgeous sunset over looking the river on the other side. Would highly recommend this place!

Confortable et agréable

Bien situé, à 250 mètres du Pont Dom Luis et de l’entrée de Porto, à 100 mètres d’une épicerie, à deux stations de métro d’un supermarché, cet appartement, au 10e étage, demeure un plaisir pour les yeux, tant à l’est avec une vue sur Nova Vila de Gaia (et ses levers de soleil) et ses montagnes au loin, qu’à l’ouest sur le Douro et sur Porto, avec ses couchers de soleil. Notre hôtesse, Helena, a su répondre avec diligence à toutes nos questions. La cuisine demeure des plus fonctionnelles mais très petite. On ne peut y être deux à la fois… Nous recommandons chaleureusement cet emplacement de choix !

Wonderful stay

The property was exactly what we expected. The location was great. The view was beautiful and the amenities were appreciated. We especially enjoyed the restaurant downstairs. Super convenient, delicious and affordable. Overall the stay was exceptional. I recommend.

Gorgeous views, phenomenal host

The apartment is exactly as advertised with gorgeous views from both sides of the apartment, which has a terrace on one side and a smaller deck on the other. While compact, it doesn't feel cramped and it has automated shutters if the sun gets to be too much. It is in a fantastic location, just across the bridge from Porto on the main drag of Gaia. We preferred this area because it is close to everything but not as crowded/touristy as Porto. The apartment has everything needed for a short stay, including a washing machine. With two elderly people in our party, we were a bit concerned about the tub/shower, but both managed just fine. Note that there are several steps to get up to the building entrance, so the apartment may not suit those with more severe mobility issues, but there is an elevator from the lobby to the apartment. The only drawback we experienced was that our party found the mattresses to be slightly uncomfortable, but this may not be an issue for others. Helena was a wonderful and responsive host, including dropping everything on a Saturday to come rescue us when the key got stuck in the lock. On the whole, we greatly enjoyed our stay at the penthouse in Gaia.

Über den Dächern von Porto

Es ist eine großartige Ferienwohnung in sehr zentraler Lage. Trotz dieser zentralen Lage ist es dank der Vierfach-Fensterverglasung ruhig. In wenigen Minuten erreicht man die Se Kathedrale ebenso wie die Portweinkeller von Vila Nova de Gaia. Von dieser gut ausgestatteten Ferienwohnung haben wir fast 3 Wochen lang Porto und Umgebung erkundet. Dank den wenigen Metern zu allerlei Haltestellen ist man im nu an den schönen Stränden von Espinoh, Francelos oder Miramar. Mit der Andante Card war es ohne Schwierigkeit gut möglich. Bei einem längeren Aufenthalt sollte man auf jedenfall die einheimische Variante der Andante Karte kaufen. Kontakt zu Helena war unkompliziert und sie war sehr hilfsbereit. Wir haben es als Familie mit zwei Kindern sehr genossen. Für uns war die Wohnung mit tollem Ausblick so optimal, dass wir auf jeden Fall wiederkommen werden.

Great location and exceptionally nice accommodation

The location of this apartment is fantastic - right next to a metro stop and with a supermarket and bakery opposite. The apartment itself was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The view from the bedroom balcony was great! Thank you for a great stay.

Amazing view from Gaia

This property is as advertised. Super clean, lot's of room and a small but yet complete kitchen. The font balcony is great in the morning and gives you a feel for the city life. The back balcony. Well, let's just say we spent 90% of our time there. Amazing view of porto, the river and of course the sunset. We preferred this side of the river as it was not so busy and were able to walk to porto across the bridge is less than 10 minutes. Many great restaurants walking distance from the apartment as well as a full size grocery store. We highly recommend this property when visiting this area. And the host is super nice and responsive as well.

P for Perfect

The apartment was very clean and very comfortable. Nice towels and linens. The bed was comfortable and the room had nice sized closets. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. Large windows in all the rooms. The best part were the two outdoor balconies. The views are great and a good place to relax! Location was phenomenal. Close to the bridge, Metro, bakery, and a grocery store. We walked to Porto and back most every day. Check-in was quick and efficient. I highly recommend this place!!

Ruhiges Appartement mit Superblick

Sehr gut eingerichtetes und ausgestattetes Appartement mit 2 Terrassen und einem Superausblick auf den Duoro und Porto. Die Wohnung liegt in der 10. Etage (ganz oben), es sind 2 Aufzüge vorhanden. Die Metro hält gleich vor dem Haus. Ein guten Bäcker und ein Supermarkt sind gleich auf der anderen Straßenseite. Die Kommunikation mit Helena klappte sehr gut.

Great Stay

This is a lovely apartment and is much nicer than the photos suggest. It is very well maintained with shining hardwood floors and high ceilings. It is tastefully decorated and was very clean. The air conditioning was quiet and effective, although with the 2 decks and windows it was easy to have a pleasant cross breeze. The beds were comfortable and the linens and towels of good quality. Although the kitchen is quite small, it has everything we needed to prepare simple meals. The washing machine worked very well and was a nice feature. The views are very impressive. Perfect to capture some amazing photographs. The location was great, very close to everything but out of the touristy crowds. The host was very easy to communicate with. Her book of information was superior to most places we have stayed. She very patiently waited to greet us when our train was delayed.

Traumblick

Die Wohnung ist einfach toll mit einem wundervollen Blick, einer sehr guten Lage und einer schönen Ausstattung. Die große Dachterasse ist in sonniger Lage zum Frühstück und den Tag, der Balkon auf der anderen Seite bietet einen Traumblick in den Abendhimmel über dem Douro. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Lovely and convenient

Great view, very clean and spacious, air conditioners and sun blowing shades worked excellent. As stated it was well stocked for a two night stay, we stayed 4 nights and bought supplies. Lots of toys available for kids. Only negative was that my wife did not find the beds, bedsheets and towels soft enough.

Séjour sympa à Porto

Agréable séjour à vila de Gaia qui jouxte Porto. Emplacement idéal au calme, à 10 min à pieds de Porto en passant par le magnifique pont métallique. Métro au pied de l’appartement qui rejoint le centre ville avec connexion pour l’aeroport; à 10 min à pieds des caves de Porto, vue imprenable magnifique sur le Douro avec soleil couchant. Appartement sobre et élégant au 10eme étage. Très bon séjour.

Superwohnung mit grandioser Aussicht

Wirklich eine tolle Wohnung mit grandioser Aussicht an toller zentraler Lage. Jederzeit gerne wieder. Einziger Punkt war der Parkplatz. Es gibt keinen eigenen Parkplatz wie wir eigentlich erwartet hatten. Parkieren war an der Strasse angesagt und somit nicht so toll da meistens kein einziger Parkplatz in den zwei Wochen unseres Urlaubs frei war. Das konnten wir gut beurteilen weil von der Wohnung im 10.Stockwerk hatte man ja die Übersicht. Die Wohnung aber ist top und sehr gut ausgerüstet.

BEST spot for view of and visit to Porto!

We couldn't have been more please with our choice! Being across the river and south of Porto, and able to view it every evening from the balcony of this well appointed apartment, was just PERFECT. While we enjoyed out entire trip to Portugal (Porto, Algarve and Lisbon/Sintra), our favorite part of the trip was Porto and a day trip to the Douro River Valley wine area. Truly hope to go back some day! Obrigado

Optimale Unterkunft für einen Aufenthalt in Porto

Wir sind sehr zufrieden. Helena hat uns am späten Abend an der Wohnung in Empfang genommen und gerne Tipps für die Stadt gegeben. Die Wohnung selbst liegt im 10. Stock und bietet einen grandiosen Blick über den Fluss nach Porto. Unbedingt den Sonnenuntergang erleben! Wir würden jederzeit dieses Appartement wieder buchen.

Fantastischer Ausblick in toller Lage

Sehr sauber, alles da um einen Kurzurlaub perfekt zu machen. Die Vermieterin war super nett und trotz der mitternächtlichen Anreise zur Schlüsselübergabe vor Ort. Der Ausblick und die beiden Balkone sind perfekt gelegen und groß. In wenigen Minuten ist man mitten im Geschehen, egal ob kulturell, naturgebunden oder gesellschaftlich. Nur zu empfehlennd gerne wieder !,,

Wonderful location and lovely apartment

The apartment was a short walk away from the historical part of Porto and close to Portwine shops and tastings. Just far enough from the hub of tourism to give a feel for local living. The owner was lovely and met us for check in. Two terraces with wonderful views were a big hit with us, one for sun rise, one for sunset. Spotlessly clean, nice bedding and towels, well equipped kitchen. I would stay here again in a heart beat.

Super clean, great location, and amazing views!

Could not have been happier at Helena’s spot in Vila Nova de Gaia. The pictures truly do not do the views justice. The terraces were great for having a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine at night (or afternoon.) It was a quick 10 minute walk down to the port cellars or 5 minutes to the bridge to cross into Porto. Everything felt clean and cared for and Helena was quick to answer any questions we had about the apartment or surrounding area. We will absolutely try to stay here again during our next to Porto!
