About this property

The Cottages - Sherwood Forest - 250 years old

The main Cottage sleeps 12 with the addition of a further two double bedrooms available in the annex, bringing the total to 16 people over eight bedrooms.

An ideal family holiday close to the beautiful countryside and Sherwood Forest! We are also the main place for wedding parties for families getting hitched at Hazel Gap, which is a few minutes away.

The space
Together the cottages sleep 16 people and have plenty of space and amenities. Each cottage has it’s own kitchen, dining room, bathroom and bedrooms and both benefit from their own separate entrance, ideal for 2 families wanting to share, but still have their own space.

There is also an internal door connecting both cottages together, as well as “The Den”, a ground floor annex with 2 double bedrooms and bathroom.

The main property sleeps 12 with the addition of a further two double bedrooms available in 'The Den', bringing the total to 16 people over eight bedrooms.

There is also parking for six cars.

The heart of a great holiday. Welcome to The Cottages Sherwood Forest, your ideal home from home and the perfect base for visiting the wealth of attractions on the doorstep.

Situated in the heart of Robin Hood country, these 250 year old, Grade II listed cottages combine a sense of history and period features with tastefully rendered refurbishment to offer unique and superbly appointed accommodation.

They are located in the beautiful village of Edwinstowe within walking distance of the famous Major Oak and a range of amenities and shops, including welcoming pubs and restaurants to suit all tastes.

The cottages are essential two cottages that are linked together through a lockable door. You therefore have two of everything; living and dinning rooms, kitchens and bathrooms. Each side has two double bedrooms and one twin room.

Wonderful family reunion
This is a lovely character cottage with plenty of space for everyone. Having a large table to seat everyone was brilliant for family meals and games nights. More than enough crockery, cutlery and glasses and a super large fridge and and a smaller one which we used for drinks. We were a group ranging from grandparents down to grandchildren and everyone was happy. Bedrooms were a really good size and everybody slept well. It was lovely being able to walk to Sherwood Forest and Edwinstowe has excellent facilities and good pubs for food and drinks. The outside space at the cottage was lovely and it was warm enough to sit out one afternoon with a drink.
