Location location location

Large family of 12 loved staying at Honu house . Out the back door across a private road and onto to the beach. Turtles were plentiful . Large beach house , bit tired in areas but very roomy and comfortable . Loved the outdoor , warm water showers. Roadway very close , can be noisy but settled down later in the night usually . We would recommend Honu house and Hawaii beach homes . Mahalo Anna and all for a wonderful holiday

Great location

We had the whole house to ourselves. Great location. A few items were needing attention but overall, I'd love to stay here again.

Honu House on the North Shore

Our 2-week stay was fantastic. We walked to the beach daily swimming, observing sea turtles and came back each evening for a sunset with a cocktail and sometimes a cigar to end the day. At night time, we would play board and card games which the rental provided. We had 11 family members from 3- different states visiting. We cooked together, played games and had fun. We took advantage of the BBQ area and had time hanging out downstairs for happy hour. He unit provided snorkel equipment, boggy boards, plastic shaped items that kids can use in the sand to build castles. We would recommend this vacation spot.

Tony's Hawaii Stay

This was a great property, close to the beach. House was clean and roomy but was a bit worn. The location was close to the main road and was a bit noisy.

Would definitely go back-

The rental property is set up a little weird, but we had the whole property so that didn’t matter as much. The accoutrements were great. The king sized bed was pretty hard, so we bought a mattress topper and left it. The location is awesome, but traffic can get backed up during the day. Surf with Hans company they were legit, very knowledgeable and amicable. Just an overall great experience

Amazing House

This house was so great for our group. Plenty of space and great location. Yes you can hear the highway, but it didn't bother us at all. Our first day there we walked down to the beach and there were two huge turtles sitting on the beach. Nice to be able to walk to the beach to drink your morning coffee. Not a swimming beach tho. Everything we needed was provided. The whole process was super easy and convenient. I would recommend this house to any larger group. Side note: The 6th bedroom is like the upstairs bonus room with sliding glass doors all around so possibly hard to sleep in without curtains, but so much room to spread everyone out! Kids had a blast playing ping pong and playing in the large yard area. Our north shore vacation was amazing!

North shore vacation

Property was as advertised and in a great location right at the beach. The entire family enjoyed the vacation and spending time together as a family. Only thing I would fix would be to repair and add a few additional chairs for the 2 tables. Bedrooms and A/C was great for sleeping comfortably. Thanks for a great 10 days.

Great House, Noisy Traffic

The access to Turtle Beach is AMAZING! Snorkeling around that beach is great. We saw turtles every single day. The beach is really busy during the day by the house, but if you walk down past the rocks, you get nice sandy areas pretty much to yourself. The house had lots of equipment to use for snorkeling and even had a surfboard and boogie boards we used. You're about halfway between Haliewa and Waimea. There were only 2 downsides 1. Traffic is noisy at night. The house is backed up to the highway and if your room is on that side, it can be pretty noisy. Locals call the traffic that builds up duing the day around the area "Turtle Traffic" even though we were a couple miles from Town, it could take us up to 30 minutes to get from town to the house, or from Sharks Cove (just past Waimea) to the house. 2. The sliding glass doors were really heavy and hard to open / close. we had several children with us and it was extremely difficult for them to open the doors w/out an adult. 2 of the kids couldn't budge the door. We used those doors primarily to get in and out of the house since the 'front' door was on the highway side and not the beach side.
