Great layout for family gathering, everything we needed and comfortable.

The large open kitchen, dinning area and deck was great for our family and extended family to get together that were staying at other homes. The house had everything we needed, didn't want for anything in the kitchen to prepare/serve meals for our group. The beds were really comfortable and everything was in working order. Would rent this home again for sure.

We had a great time

This home had a nice layout for a family + another couple (grandparents, in our case), with 2 BR + 1 BA upstairs and 1 BR/BA downstairs. Kitchen was spacious and had everything we needed, air conditioning helped on hot days. Black Butte Ranch is a dream and it's hard to go wrong when you're riding bikes, swimming, and sitting out with a glass of wine at the Lakeside restaurant soaking in the view in the afternoons. That said, there were two small downsides to note. The home had a surprising amount of car traffic going by, which was only noticeable at night sleeping with the windows open. And there is a strong smell of dog when you first walk in - the carpets are well worn and seem to need shampooing. I would not recommend this home to someone allergic to dogs or sensitive to dog smell.

Great location, some minor issues

This property was a great location, close to the activity center hub, and had good showers. There were a few issues, the coffee pot didn't work, and the upstairs bedroom had no window coverings. There was a curtain rod taped to the wall with what looked like an entire roll of scotch tape, and we found two towels hanging on hooks behind the door that didn't look like they'd been cleaned. There was food in the fridge (4 opened tubs of ice cream in freezer) and various personal items left in closets and cupboards. It felt more like you were staying at a friend's house that was a bit untidy, than at a professional rental.

OK not exceptional

The property had no drip coffee maker. That is a definite negative. Having a Keurig is not adequate. There is another combination, grind coffee maker that does not have instructions, filter, and was dirty. Renter should not have to do laundry as part of a VRBO rental.

Black Butte Bliss

My experience with this property…it was perfect! Location was ideal! The home was great. Very clean. Lovely. The Black Butte amenities were amazing, and so was the large, back deck of the house- to just sit there and enjoy the trees and nature was so relaxing. The kitchen was well stocked. Beds we’re comfortable. So much good to say. It was hard to leave!

Great Location

This house worked perfect for our stay at BBR in July 2022. They had everything we needed for supplies and it was very clean. We greatly appreciated the AC in the hot days. There are just a few very minor maintenance issues that could be addressed, but these did not take away from our stay.

Cute place and yay for A/C!

The updates that have been made are tasteful. The great room and downstairs bath are nicely decorated. The other spaces are a little dated but still comfy and you can’t beat having A/C in July! The amenities at BBR are an additional per person per day charge but totally worth it for all the ranch has to offer. It was nice to have access to the bikes in the garage so we didn’t have to rent those. We had a great stay!

Great location!

This property is in a great location. Just a 5 minute walk to Glaze Meadow REC Center/Spa, and 5 minute drive to GM Golf Course. The check out chores are a little cumbersome. But overall I would stay here again.

Well appointed but a lot of check out work.

The house was great with all the things we needed. We were surprised to find bikes and a ping pong table also. The trundle beds in the bunk room were a bit challenging for our teens. We were expecting bunk beds. The stay was great. We were frustrated by the amount of laundry and dishes required for check out. The washer and dryer are very slow so most of our morning was spent on the check out process. If that shifted we would love to come back.

Great location!

It was great to have the air conditioning and you can’t beat the location. It could have been cleaner and things from previous guests were left in the freezer, but overall very serviceable.

Great property!

We had a wonderful time here! Cabin was clean, super comfortable and provided all we needed. The AC was much appreciated on hot days and the layout was perfect for grandparents/parents/two young girls. The location is awesome - easy walking distance to the Glaze Meadow pool. Kitchen is well organized and had the basics on hand. We would love to return here!

BBR get away!

This place was fully equipped and large enough for all of us to relax.A great feature was having AC!! Most places ar BBR don't have central air. Great being 5 minutes from pool, park & tennis courts and food.

It was good enough

Overall the house was fine - just not as welcoming as I was expecting. The house is old and needs some upgrades for sure. Kitchen tools especially need upgrade. The owner did bring a blender over so that was great! Lots of spider webs all over. The location is great - walking distance to glaze meadow pool and tennis courts. The bedrooms are a good size and beds were comfy.

Excellent property, terrible property manager

We loved staying at this house, once we got in. We received no checkin instructions until nearly 10pm on our checkin day. I had to call VRBO customer service and they were able to help me figure out how to access the house. Also, we had to reach out several times to the property manager to get the access code along with the WiFi password. While we would definitely stay at this property again, we hope the owners will find a new, more reliable property manager.
