Welcome to Campfire Studios, your advanced base camp for exploring the Rocky Mountains! After a day of playing outside, or shopping downtown, this luxury cabin will invite you to relax in front of the stone fireplace. The two story windows and cathedral ceiling build a perfect frame around your view of both Blue River and Quandary Peak (14,271’). Located 4 miles from Breckenridge Ski Resort, this cabin provides the perfect retreat for family and friends. Well stocked with all the comforts of home, you will immediately relax and start your vacation.

The west-facing wall of windows lights up the inside of this luxury cabin, and reminds you to sit outside on the large covered deck and enjoy the sounds of the great outdoors. After all, that is why you are here.

Starting on the inside, you will find a very open floor plan. The large family room, dining room, and kitchen create the ideal space to entertain. The cabin is luxuriously furnished with a fully equipped kitchen, granite countertops, washer, dryer, gas fireplace and in-floor radiant heat (perfect for your feet after a long day in ski boots!). The open loft overlooks the main living space and provides a nice retreat for those looking to relax with a good book, or for kids watching cartoons.

We participate in a clean linens program that assures all linens, including down mattress covers, are changed in between every visit. As a family that travels frequently, we personally enjoy the comfort of knowing everything is clean and fresh. The first floor master bedroom has a king bed, and a spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower, jacuzzi tub, double vanity, private toilet room, and large walk-in closet. Two upstairs bedrooms both provide queen size beds, large closets, and a second master bathroom with double vanities and large glass shower. The loft is furnished with a new sleeper sofa (queen size) and entertainment console. All beds have new pillows and new synthetic down comforters

Downstairs, you will find a large oversized room that is perfect for playing or spreading out. The downstairs room is nicely furnished with two sets of twin bunk beds and a sectional couch. The laundry room is equipped with a washer and dryer.

The two car, heated garage will keep your vehicle out of the weather. Plus, you will find outdoor equipment (ex. snowshoes) in the garage that you are welcome to enjoy.

The other creature comforts include cellular coverage (rare in Blue River), wifi, ROKU equipped TV's with access to YoutubeTV, Netflix, (also allows you the option to sign into your own streaming subscriptions, ex. Hulu, Amazon Prime), Apple TV in the loft (signed into Netflix, also gives you the option to sign into your own subscriptions), outdoor gas grill (plumbed direct with natural gas, no more running out of gas mid-steak!), and direct access to both the national forest and Blue River. If you don’t feel like driving to town, the Summit Stage (free shuttle) has a pickup location at the entrance of the neighborhood. So get outside and enjoy, after all, that is why you are here!

Almost everything you need to enjoy your time in the mountains is stocked and available – paper products, spices, condiments and soaps. Perfect house for a family ski trip to CO

This was our first time staying in CO in the winter to ski Breck. First time experiencing real CO fresh powder. We've only experienced East Coast ice til now. The house made our stay even more authentic with its cabin feel. Perfect layout for everyone to spread out or be together in a grand space. The radiant heated floors throughout made the house super comfortable. We turned on the fireplace for an extra wintery feel. Loading and unloading in the heated garage made the mornkngs woth kkds a breeze.. All the beds were great and showers had plenty of shampoo/conditioner/body wash for everyone to use. The kitchen was decently equipped with plenty of sturdy dinnerware and silverware for everyone. Items left behind by other gueats were honestly helpful. We paid it forward as well. :-) We miss the house already. The hosts were kind, helpful, and accommodating. We'd love to come back over and over!

Amazing stay!

The cabin is beautiful and the location could not be any better, I truly appreciate the simplicity of the check-in and check-out process. The cabin is exactly as shown and completely equipped! My only suggestion would be to maybe bring an air mattress since the pull out beds are pretty uncomfortable and if traveling in big groups to take showers spread apart as the hot water runs out pretty quick. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider booking again!!

Relaxing Retreat

Cozy yet spacious! Quiet neighborhood in the woods next to the river. Our party consisted of six high school friends in our sixties. The Iowans & the one Floridian apprenticed the views. Two of us live in CO & loved the location as well. We looked for moose but ended up seeing them off of Hwy 9. Short, easy commute to downtown Breck & hikes. I highly recommend this property.

Perfect vacation!

This was our second time to spend a month in this Blue River home. It’s about 5 minutes from Breckenridge activities but we especially love that it’s in a wooded neighborhood that feels more homey. Toby and Steph are generous and attentive hosts, and the house is maintained beautifully. Everything you need is there! We found some new trails in the neighborhood this year, saw lots of wildlife, spent hours reading and visiting on the porches and got to know several of the neighbors. This property is a treasure!

Beautiful home! There was only one garage door opener, so hopefully we aren't charged.

Very accommodating, would love to come back in the future for more skiing and maybe summer time fun! Just loved the area, view and home in general! It could use another shower or bath in lower level, when you have 10 it kind of gets hectic to get into the bathroom.

Family Christmas vacation

Thanksgiving getaway

This home had a great layout for my family. Everyone had a bed, and the common area(s) were large enough that we were all comfortable when using them together. Loved the location. The house is in close proximity to town, but out far enough that we had the solitude we wanted. Plenty of hiking right out the back door and the sunsets were fantastic. We had a great time! Thanks.

The Villa

Gorgeous house! Close to the river and a lovely trail/s. A short drive into town and you are at the cutest little village! Our family had a blast spending time, hanging out playing cards, doing puzzles on the balcony and cooking together! Would highly recommend this lovely home!

Beautiful Mountain Retreat

My wife and two young daughters absolutely loved this cabin. We were blown away by the scenery and views. A heavy snow added a nice touch to the local landscape. Even with the snow, the roads and cabin were easily accessible and we didn’t have any issues. The heated garage was a huge bonus and I was able to fit my SUV with a luggage carrier in it. The cabin had everything we needed and the owner was very helpful and prompt with their responses. Local shopping, dining, and groceries were just 5 minutes away. If the mountains are calling we would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful house minutes from skiing!

What a lovely home! It was the perfect size and set up to accommodate 3 families with 4 young kids. The view was wonderful and in a quiet neighborhood. The kitchen was amazing and had almost everything we needed, including a full size crockpot and coffee pot. It was lacking hot pads to handle food coming from the oven, minor detail. The heated floors throughout the house kept everyone quite comfortable. The driveway was a bit of a challenge to get up due to snow and ice because 1 driver did not have 4 wheel drive. But the driveway was scraped each morning after snowfall. The only reason I could not give this property 5 stars is because the beds were terribly uncomfortable for all three adult couples. The master bed was the worst and sunken in on each side. Both queen beds upstairs were too firm causing neck pains. Good sleep is essential to a good vacation, but the only ones who slept well were the kids on the bunk beds in the basement. The beds would be the only reason I would not rent this property again. Otherwise, we loved the house so much and so did the kids! Also, the upstairs tv never worked after multiple attempts to replace batteries in the remote and after googling how to pair the roku remote. It still never worked. The smaller tv in the main living room worked fine.

Wonderful!

The cabin was very impressive as soon as we drove up. It was more than perfect for our stay. There was 7 of us. The kids made trails in the snow and used the complimentary sleds to have a blast. Everything you needed was there. The view was beautiful. We really enjoyed the large windows while watching the snowfall. Short drive to town. Garage parking was a plus. Thanks for sharing your place with us and hope one day to be able to come back. The ski school at Beaver run that you suggested for the kids was great!

Great location/Disappointing condition

We were traveling with 5 adults and 3 teens and stayed at this cabin for a week long ski vacation at Breck. Positives - We loved the location of this home, it took us less than 10 min to get to the slopes every day. The neighborhood was very cute, all the homes were well kept, and the back yard was spacious and private. The kids enjoyed sledding in the snow down the hill out back (although the neighbor was not friendly, he groped at them for being out there). The home was well stocked with kitchen supplies. The master bedroom & kids area were spacious. Some of the drawbacks- when we arrived some of the bedding was not clean, we found crumbs under the kids sheets, blood spots and what looked to be urine stains on upstairs blankets - however the owner was quick to apologize and offered to refund the cleaning fee (which we’ve still not received, two weeks later). Although the exterior was beautiful we felt the interior was lacking. The living room was small and uncomfortable. The one sofa could not accommodate all of our adults at once, an the recliners did not work. The TV in the living room was very small - not ideal for watching anything as a family. The floors in the upstairs hallway and portions of the kitchen were loose, separated and peeling up. The furniture in the bedrooms were old, badly scratched and worn. The two upstairs queen beds were very uncomfortable per our other adult guests. The upstairs rooms were minimal with no TVs. The plugs in the upstairs rooms did not work. None of the humidifiers worked. The kids ended up sleeping on the floor in the basement because the bunk mattresses and sofa bed were so uncomfortable. We could not find cleaning supplies anywhere. After 6 months of looking forward to this trip, I have to say we were very disappointed with the accommodations - especially at this price point. Although we enjoyed our time skiing, we would NOT book this home again.

Simply the best !

Folks, everything about this cabin and it’s owners are “simply the best”. From the moment we arrive the beauty of this cabin and how it is nested within the side of the mountain is breathtaking. The smallest details make you feel at home and it’s creature comforts allow you to settle in and enjoy the cabin and its views. The owners are very attentive to your well-being and your every need before during and after your stay. We spent New Year’s this year there with the entire family and our kids their fiancé‘s, boyfriends and girlfriends, really enjoyed every minute of making memories in Colorado and within this cabin. We thank Steph and Toby for their hospitality, and for allowing others to enjoy this beautiful cabin that they own. With much love and respect, Ivan and Iliana.

We are a very active family that splits our time between the east coast and Colorado, with lots of other adventures sprinkled in between. After 20+ years of traveling the country to find our favorite mountain destination, we kept coming back to Breckenridge. In 2009 we had our first son, and the first trip we took was to Breck. We immediately knew this was our spot. The combination of world-class mountains and happenin' downtown, Breckenridge allows our family the best of both worlds. We enjoy quiet family time in the mountains, fine dining downtown, and looking for adventure in the Ten Mile Range.

Why they chose this property

After 20+ years of exploring Colorado, we fell in love with Blue River. This location allows our family to truly escape to the mountains, feel like we are in the mountains away from all the hustle, yet remain 4 miles from the conveniences of Breckenridge. Plus, the views and access to Blue River, Quandary Peak (14,271') and the surrounding national forest provide unlimited options for adventure. Regarding the house, we are very particular. After choosing Blue River, it took three years for us to find our house. We wanted a cabin in the woods, with all the modern conveniences and space of a luxury home. After an uncompromising search, we found the perfect home...in Blue River, on Blue River Road, overlooking Blue River!
