Ground floor apartment is accessed at the rear of the house, through the coded metal gate. Guests receive a code for the gate and their door the day before arrival. Guests enter through the lush tropical garden to their ground floor, independent apartment.
Our family of four lives here (two adults and two children) We will likely see each other as we come and go and you will hear our family life as we live in the space above the apartment. We're always available for questions and recommendations and are readily available via text or phone call, as well as living upstairs.
You'll gain a true sense for what it is like to live in New Orleans in our neighborhood. A few of the things we love about our neighborhood are: beautiful houses with front porches and confederate jasmine climbing on iron fences; occassional Second -lines through the neighborhood and house parties with brass bands; and, Mardi Gras parades down St Charles. You are tucked in a quiet old home, but blocks away from the action.

Street car is an easy 5 block walk. Freret st bus is an easy 4 block walk. Uber (our referral code is katrinat2360ui ) & Lyft are usually $9-$11 to most popular locations from our house. You are 2 miles from both the French Quarter and uptown. We are a quick 7-10 minute drive to Tulane, Loyola and Xavier Universities.
This is a ground floor apartment. Ceilings are 6.5' on average. Our family with small children lives on the floor above you. We do not permit parties and request that all of our guests conduct themselves at all times in a family friendly manner that recognizes that there are children living in the home. The hot tub is heated in the fall & winter. In the late spring and summer we turn off the heat to have a cool tub. A signed rental agreement, government ID and security deposit is required for all bookings. City of New Orleans requires booking guests be 25 years or older. 23-NSTR-15932, OPERATOR LICENSE NUMBER:24-OSTR-07088. The home is equipped with exterior security cameras that face the entrances. There are two at the rear of the house, two on the sides and one at the front. The cameras actively record video.
