We really enjoyed staying in this area of Rome as it felt more authentic and less touristy but was still lively with good restaurants, bars, boutique shops and nearby a small flea market. It was handy being about a 10min walk to Termini.
The apartment is up a few flights of stairs, the kitchen was well equiped with a small kitchen table and the bedrooms were large. FYI, the room with 3 single beds (4th bedroom) is actually also the lounge/dining room which wasn’t obvious on the listing.
The host was lovely. Communicated well and was kind to give me a small gift as it was my birthday during our stay.
Very nice owners. I felt at home. We only spent one night but the important things to me, hot water for showers, a tea kettle, clean and a comfortable bed were all met and more!
I would recommend this place to larger groups of people who are in great physical shape (we were a group of 7). You can use the living room as a separate bedroom, which would make it into 4 beds and 2 baths. Make sure you are in great shape for going up many flights of stairs and not carrying much luggage. Also, make sure you understand that in Italy, the 1st floor of a building does not equal the ground floor. First floor means the first above the ground floor (which in the United States or some other countries, would be called the 2nd floor). The apartment was nice and clean, but going up to it is not for the faint of heart - about 8 flights of stairs (!). Location is great, in the midst of many restaurants, all walking distance. One of the bathrooms had issues with the water turning hot/cold, but owner says they will get it fixed. Owner was nice to share password for TV cable/amazon streaming.
The owner is very responsive and helpful. Apartment is huge and was quite sufficient for 10 of us.
I was a bit worry about graffiti that we saw on Google map pictures but I felt very safe at all times.
We stayed for 2 nights only and never quite figured out how to make showers to mix water well, so it was running cold then hot then cold. But I can't tell for sure if it's our issue or apartment's.
In any case, a lot of very good restaurants near by and a nearby nice playground area for 2 year old we had with us.
The apartment is spacious, clean and adaptable. We received a warm welcome from Rosanna. She was easy to communicate with. She kindly showed us around the apartment, left us with fruit pie and recommended cafes and restaurants to visit. We were comfortable in the apartment and used it as a base. Everyday we walked from the door to visit local attractions (that we pre-booked in advance to skip the queues). The apartment is very near the station. We even planned a trip to Pompeii using the high speed train. Great, good value place. Lots of shops nearbye. Comfortable beds. Nicely furnished. Not too noisy. Plenty of hot water and heating. Thoroughly recommend.
Rosanna was an amazing host. We had a miscommunication that was mainly my fault about the city tax but she was super helpful finding another solution. I would definitely stay with her again.
No matter if you are Johnnie Walker of Mary Poppins type, location of this property will serve you well, being close to Center or Roma Termini.
It's description is true and pictures are real. Owner is friendly and helpful. Although check in is advised at 14:00, Rossana granted us access earlier, much appreciated!
Pasticceria, Caffe and Food market near by.
I hade no problems during 4 days staying so I never used VRBO Customer Service.
We really enjoyed our stay! Loved the fun, eclectic vibe of the area. The apartment was within walking distance of major tourist attractions, which we loved. The owners are AMAZING - so kind, thoughtful and courteous! They were thorough and provided prompt responses. Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful place with our family!
Great property to vacation with friends! Close to termini and a lot of great places in walking distance. Clean property and had everything we need. I would defiantly return, very gracious and helpful host
Rosanna was an amazing host and we had a clean and wonderful stay. She was very accommodating and it was easy to get taxis from our location to the city center. Would highly recommend this location for larger groups. Both showers worked great and had hot water for all 9 of us. Only hard thing was the 3 flights of stairs with all our luggage because no elevator but definitely doable and worth it. Thank you Rosanna we really enjoyed our stay!
We had only a brief stay in this apartment but we found it to be spacious, clean, and well-stocked with things we needed (including a coffee maker - a nice touch). Beds were comfortable and indeed this apartment can accommodate ~10 people as per the description. The apartment is in an old-style apartment building and guests should be aware that it is on the 3rd floor of the building with no lift. Two of the four bedrooms have air conditioning and the others have electric fans; normally not a issue I suppose though in the recent heat wave it made a difference.
The owner is very helpful and provided great insight into the neighborhood - places to eat, how to get around, etc. The neighborhood itself is a little off the beaten track for many visitors and is close to a large university, so there is a funky vibe to it and a mixture of traditional establishments and more "hip" modern places. Great food and gelato are within 5 minutes walking distance, and there is a Carrefour supermarket around the block as well. Very convenient.
From Roma Termini you will find it a 20-minute walk to the apartment; a taxi ride is less than 10 euros. There are buses from Termini to the neighborhood but a taxi is probably most efficient.
