Dolphin is just a short walk from the centre of Burnham Market village, surrounded by countryside walks, with some of the best beaches along the coast just a short drive away. Located in a small cul-de-sac and tucked away, the hub-bub of this ever-popular village is not too far away and you will love how easy it is to explore the whole of the North Norfolk coast from this convenient detached cottage. Comprising of all ground floor accommodation, Dolphin offers comfortable accommodation for guests. The inviting sitting room features a Smart television for hunkering down to watch a film in the evenings, and the well-equipped kitchen benefits from an adjacent dining area with seating for four guests. If you choose to cook at home, there is a vast offering of local delicious local produce available right on the doorstep. Sample fresh fish from Gurney's fishmonger, meat from Arthur Howell's family run butchers, followed by a delicious dessert from Humble Pie delicatessen. The cosy conservatory enjoys garden views and makes a lovely spot for reading a good book or practising yoga. The tranquil master bedroom hosts a king-size bed, with twin beds provided in bedroom two. These rooms are served by a bathroom offering bath with shower over.
Outside, the front and back gardens are laid to lawn and bordered by an array of shrubs and roses. To the rear of Dolphin, the garden is fully-enclosed making is a safe place for supervised dogs or children to play. A terraced area with garden furniture for four beckons for al fresco dining from the charcoal barbecue on warm sunny days. Off-road parking for one car is available on the driveway, with the opportunity for further cars to park outside on the quiet road.
A short two mile drive or walk away, is the pretty sailing harbour and village of Burnham Overy Staithe where you can enjoy walking out to what is often a deserted beach. Otherwise hop in the car and head to your choice of Brancaster beach, Wells-next-the-Sea or Holkham, where you will find endless miles of soft sand. Bring your bike and cycle the quiet lanes abundant with birdlife and wildlife. The Coasthopper bus stops at various locations in the village and offers endless opportunity to combine a long walk with a lift back! Make sure you leave time to enjoy a pub lunch en-route. With a great variety on offer, you will be spoilt for choice - and most are dog-friendly! And of course dogs are welcome on the Coasthopper bus too! Dolphin Cottage is perfect as a base to explore the whole North Norfolk coast whatever time of year you choose to visit.
