Great Place to Stay

Everything is good besides this is the only VRBO / Air B&B place I stayed without providing the bodywash.

Excellent Location, Clean and Spacious

We had a wonderful stay at this condo! Everything was provided for us that we needed. Catherine and Mark were very quick with responding to any questions we had. Tahoe city was just about a 5-7 min drive with lots of places to eat and explore. Highly recommend! We will be on the lookout for this place on our next visit!!

Excellent experience

We take an annual ski trip and were concerned still doing this during COVID. The condo was in an excellent location. It had plenty of storage and was very clean. I have rarely had a rental with a kitchen that had decent equipment AND room for our own food. This was great. We could put everything away. The washer/dryer worked well and plenty of room in the garage for ski equipment. Highly recommend this for skiing rental. Hopefully we will be back.

Family stay at Alpine Meadows

We had a great stay at the condo at Alpine Meadows. The place was a great location and really comfortable for us 5 adults and 3 kids. The kitchen and baths are all updated and well maintained. Property manager was super helpful and responsive and great instructions. Beds were comfortable and the new pellets heater and TV were great.

Alpine Condo

Great condo. Great location. BBQ is not the same as in the photo’s, but the one there worked well. Could use more dishes, but not that big of a deal. Would definitely stay there again!

Great place and location for group

We had a great time at the condo, and were very happy to find the Cafe across the street that served really good breakfast and lunch, with one night for dinner so we didn't have to cook every night. Walked to River Run Restaurant and place to go rafting on the Truckee River. Lots of parking available if most other units aren't occupied. Swimming pool a good walk up behind the complex, and they keep it covered I guess to keep clean, so you must uncover yourself. Sleeping all worked out well, just could use a room divider in the master bedroom for the alcove where the futon is for some separation if not a family member sharing that part. Then there is actually no door on the master bedroom entry, so can hear people up in the morning down in the kitchen if you are sleeping a little later. Very clean and all supplies there, just should bring own pillow since not enough there.

Great Location, Comfortable Accommodations, Minor Issues

PROS: Alpine Meadows is a great location (30-60 minute drive from all attractions). The unit was clean. Beautiful views from the balcony. Secluded pool. (Every time we went swimming, we had the whole place to ourselves.) Located close to a cafe for the mornings when you don't feel like making breakfast or brunch. CONS: No air conditioning. Bedrooms don't have any fans available. (Plenty of heaters, but some fans would be nice.) Partially renovated. (New sinks, countertops, and floors in the bathrooms, but vanity, toilets, and tubs were older fixtures. The upstairs tub had an issue with draining.) Missing hairdryer and toaster. Limited seating (Our family has six members, only three could sit comfortably to watch TV at night; the rest had to sit in the dining area or on the floor.) Frying pans need to be replaced as the non-stick coating is gone. Screen door kept falling off the track. Overall the pros outweigh the cons. We'd book the unit and stay again!

Great location, Beautiful views, Comfy stay!

We booked this condo for the Spartan Race at Squaw Valkey and the location couldn’t have been better: Five minutes from Squaw Billage and 10 minutes from Tahoe City. Plus the Crest Cafe across the street was wonderful. Oh, the condo itself? It was good! Very clean with a great view. I had the master bedroom which had a super comfy bed and a great shower. :-). We enjoyed the pellet-fueled heater/fireplace. It kept things nice and toasty. No complaints with all the space and the full kitchen. Thank you!

Perfect Place to Relax and Unwind

I stayed in this condo twice. Once in January with my two grown sons and again in March with first, my two girlfriends, and later in the week, my sons and boyfriend. EVERYBODY loved it! Warm and welcoming, nicely appointed, and spacious. The bedrooms are large and nicely decorated with plenty of closet and cabinet space. All of the beds are all super comfortable. The kitchen is really large (a butcher block or island would be a great addition) and there is everything you need to cook a meal. The owner even purchased a cheese grater at my request along with plenty of wine and juice glasses :D The layout is fantastic. One tiny nit: there is no door to close off the master bedroom which is upstairs from the rest of the house below -- so not a lot of privacy! It is perfectly located for skiing/summer sports at either Alpine Meadows or Squaw Valley.Tahoe City is about 10 minutes away. I would highly recommend this condo and hope to rent it again!

Great Ski Cabin

The townhouse was a fantastic place for the family to stay for a ski weekend. The neighbors were very friendly (and helped fix the chains on the car in the snow), the house warm and inviting, and the owner very accommodating. When a storm came in and closed 80, Mark was great about letting us hang around for a few extra hours. The wood stove throws out a lot of heat so it made a nice place to hang out with the family.

Great for a family who likes space

We stayed here for a long ski weekend and it was great. It is plenty big for everyone to have space and the kitchen was nice for cooking. We ate in for every meal except for lunch on the mountain. The condo stayed plenty warm and was very neat and clean. Our only complaint was that there weren't any wine glasses or smaller glasses in general but that did not stop us from having a great time. It was nice to have the cafe across the street and it is a quick and easy drive to Alpine Meadows ski area.

The property was great

The property was great. Beautiful location away from the crowds, but only a 5 minute drive to the lake. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was big and open. The only negative was the upstairs loft/master bedroom got quite hot (we stayed in July). Opening the windows helped a little. This would not deter me from staying here again, however. I thought the property was really nice.

Amazing, upgraded condo!!!

We enjoyed our weekend getaway while staying at this wonderful condo. It was spacious and comfortable. Beautifully updated kitchen with all the necessities to stay in for meals. The only thing I wished it had was a screen door on the balcony so the door could stay open to let the breeze through. Bring your own toilet paper and paper towels as the stock is limited. Having said that we would definitely stay there again. The owners were very responsive and communication was no issue. The condo is perfect if you are looking for a relaxing, quiet and laid back getaway.

Excellent location!

We had a great time at this condominium, very well mainteined and decorated. We felt we were home. The Bbq in the balcony is a huge plus, we used every day.

About the host

Host profile image
I am a proud mother of four great kids who range in age from 24 to 16. I've been married to the love of my life for 35 years. I live in a small farming town in southern Idaho. Our family is in the farming and trout business. I graduated from the University of Idaho (Go Vandals!). I love Lake Tahoe and I'm new to VRBO. I'm looking forward to hosting your family or group at our Alpine Meadows condo.

Why they chose this property

We love Lake Tahoe & we wanted a condo that we comfortably fit 2 families. My sister and brother-in-law (Mark) also own a 3 bedroom condo in the same complex just 2 doors down that is also on VRBO, listing #72271

What makes this property unique

We've just finished up with a major remodel & new furniture and mattresses. It's the perfect place to relax after a hard day of playing at Tahoe! Most condos in this price range are only or two 3 bedrooms on 3 won't feel crowded!
