A few hundred meters from the center of Castellana Grotte, in an inhabited rural area, is situated Ai Cento Sassi, ideal for those who want peace and relaxation, immersed in the green countryside of Puglia.
Part of a nineteenth-century structure consisting of five trulli of various sizes, three lamias and outbuildings, Ai Cento Sassi is the result of the very recent renovation of a citrus grove with an attached trullo.
Ai Cento Sassi consists of:
- a trullo used as a double bedroom, fully furnished and restored to its original splendor, an example of mastery of the local "trullari";
- a bathroom with shower
- of a large room, precisely the citrus grove, furnished with a kitchen complete with appliances, two single armchair-beds, a wood-burning fireplace, a dining table, a fan and a large wardrobe.
All windows have blinds with key and mosquito nets.
Outside, a large square with cobblestones for parking; around the house stone paving, shaded by a patio and an umbrella, where you can dine on cool summer evenings, enjoying the meat specialties of the country cooked on the outdoor barbecue.
Available table with chairs, rocking chair, deckchairs and armchairs.
Olive trees facing the house offer cool shade on summer days.
The whole structure is completely fenced, with a gate for personal use and therefore suitable for families with children and those traveling with their four-legged friends.
Animals are accepted in compliance with the most basic hygiene standards. They should not be left alone in the house and will have to sleep on their bed, avoiding getting on beds and sofas.
Available bowls and towels.
To maintain a high standard of cleaning, in addition to the fee already provided for cleaning, € 10 is required for sanitizing the rooms.

Castellana Grotte is famous for its magnificent underground caves, the most famous in Europe, which are one kilometer from the structure. It is connected to Bari by the railway line of the South East, with daily trips every hour until 21. From Castellana Grotte it is easy to reach by train and / or bus in famous tourist towns such as Martina Franca (30 km), Locorotondo (23 km), Alberobello (13 km). Monopoli (15 km), Polignano a mare (12 km) and their beaches are connected by bus.
We do not ask guests to clean or do home services during their stay, but we will appreciate that they treat our home as their own, leaving it in order and taking care of what it contains. Ai Cento Sassi is not a structure initially created to be rented and we hope that the warmth we have tried to infuse them into the renovation reaches our guests, making them feel "at home".
- A corner of the trullo is used as a Book Crossing: the books will be available to guests and if someone is struck by one of them, they can take it away with them; at the same time, the guest can decide to leave the following book to the next guests.
Board games and games for children are available to guests.
