Peaceful and luxurious living with spectacular views

We have fully recovered from Hurricane Helene - all photos are current - all damage has been repaired and power, water, wifi, etc. all restored to normal. Please visit - you will love our home!! :)

Cabin disinfected before and after each guest by our very-thorough cleaning team wearing full PPE.

Literally one mile above the Blue Ridge Parkway @ 4,000 feet, this freshly redesigned home boasts 2 King en-suites with a gourmet chef's kitchen and huge covered deck to thoroughly enjoy the spectacular views and peaceful surroundings. Everything in our home is brand new! Surrounded by undeveloped State forest lands, this is truly a peaceful get-away with great restaurants, unique shopping, spectacular waterfalls, tremendous hiking, horseback riding, trout fishing all nearby.

In our experience, there is nothing worse than showing up at your rental to find that it is less than what you expected and starting your vacation disappointed. We designed and furnished this home for our family and to our high standards - you will NOT be disappointed!

beyond tranquility

The cabin is everything it says it is and then some. It is well equipped and maintained with care. I booked it specifically because of the views from the front porch. The sunrise and sunset were beyond magnificent. Sipping coffee early in the morning with the Blue Ridge mountains sprawling in the background was exactly what we needed. The host is very responsive. I had all my questions answered within an hour or so. We will most likely book this cabin again.

Work trip

Stayed in this beautiful home as I’m working nearby at the hospital. Everything is clean and the place is fully stocked. Can’t say enough about the owner Bill. He follows up to make sure everything is great and when the power went out he cane up to cut down trees and make sure it was taken care of promptly! And the view is amazing:)

Charming Cabin with Million Dollar Views!

Beautiful Mountain View. If you are looking to relax in a peaceful environment, this place is perfect. The place is very clean, has modern appliances, many small appliances, and everything you need for cooking your own meals. The deck has a beautiful Mountain View. The host communicated kindly and in a timely manner. Arrival information was clear and sent in advance. I will definitely return!

Lineman’s family visit

My son is a lineman working in WNC. His wife and tow young boys wanted to visit since they had not seen each other in weeks. Bill was wonderful. He was very quick to respond and very kind to my family. His home was beautiful.

Great cottage and owners

You'll absolutely be happy with this great cottage. So much thought went into the entire place. Great quality all around from the owner's communication to the appliances, bedrooms, bathrooms, cleanliness, cable/internet, kitchen appliances, etc. They'll have everything you need. Bill is the best - and quickest - communicator I've experienced when renting a home. I look forward to returning to the property.

Wonderful and Relaxing

The home was perfect for a relaxing time in the mountains. The view from the front porch was great. The mornings out there were so nice and quiet- just me, my coffee, the birds, and the view. The two master suites on the main level were perfect for us and our older dog (yes the cabin was pet friendly too)! The cabin was close to town (by mountain cabin standards) and had easy access to local amenities- wineries, hiking, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Will definitely stay here again!

The house was in perfect condition but we spent most of our time (when not out hiking) on the porch, enjoying the view and the mountain breezes! A peaceful and relaxing getaway.

Idyllic Mountain retreat, Peace, quiet and spectacular views

The cabin was perfect for relaxing, reflecting, and spending time together surrounded by the beauty of nature. Its name, Tranquility, captures its charm. Communication with the owner was outstanding. The cabin is attractive, comfortable and well-equipped with great beds and a spacious contemporary shower. The kitchen is a cook's dream. We spent many enjoyable hours on the porch which is sheltered from rain apart from a real downpour. It is captivating to watch the clouds drift up the valleys or across the sky. An ideal mountain retreat.

Excellent Mountain get-away

The home was immaculate and had all the cooking utensils that were needed. The view was relaxing, and we saw deer and rabbits and heard other wildlife. We even saw a very young, possibly weeks old fawn. We did not expect a gravel road, but it was well maintained. We would stay at this location again. We attended the Highland Games and went to Little Switzerland for a great lunch and to the Mineral Museum. It was a fun vacation.

Just spent 4 wonderful nights at this property, if you are looking for quiet, tranquility, peace, quiet and a beautiful place in nature this is your item. Everything was as described on the website, oh we didn’t see any beers, boo. Very well equipped kitchen. Very comfortable beds. , drive up the dirt road was a piece of cake.. Would recommend!

Relaxing Mountain Retreat

Amazing stay at this ultra clean and nicely appointed mountain top cottage. Went with my husband and tweens and there was more than enough to keep them entertained. We enjoyed chats on the porch soaking in the gorgeous view and twinkling fireflies. The house is modern and very comfortable! Highly recommended for anyone looking to take a break and escape to fresh air and peaceful mountain setting!

Tranquility House

It doesn’t get much better than this site. Beautiful views, great amenities, and an owner who was always available for questions. My friend and I stayed for four wonderful nights in this wonderful home in comfortable spacious rooms with each of us having our own full bath. We made use of the wonderful kitchen and outdoor grill, that was fully outfitted with every utensil you could need. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone who needs a break from their normal life to decompress. I’m already planning my return trip!

We are a very active family who love the outdoors and Blue Ridge Mountains especially. We take full advantage of the wonderful mountains that surround us and use this home a lot. But, with kids, we juggle a lot of priorities and can't always use it. So we open our home for others to enjoy.

Why they chose this property

We have rented cabins throughout the NC mountains but always found it hard to find ones that met our standards and were close to exciting outdoor options. When we visited the Spruce Pine/Little Switzerland area, we fell in love. It's also very rare to find a flat lot this high up in the mountains coupled with world-class views like this home has. We've designed this home to meet our exacting standards!

What makes this property unique

Flat lot with a ranch style home makes for very easy and convenient living. The two king en-suite bedrooms are on either end of the house giving great privacy. In between the two bedrooms is the completely open living/dining/kitchen space. In the summer, enjoy fresh blueberries from our 20 mature blueberry bushes.
