After a miserable hotel experience in London, this cottage put a smile back on our faces the moment we walked in. It is exquisitely decorated, warm and comfortable. Restaurants and shops are a pleasant walk away. We had to pry ourselves out of the house to go exploring. Easy drives to Broadway and Burton on the Water. We would love to come back,
Very quiet place with plenty of room for the four of usVery handy for a nice wander through the village and up to Dovers hillWe really enjoyed our stay
We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was comfy and attractive with a great location. The neighborhood was so pretty and we enjoyed walking to the main street for shopping and redtaurants.
The cottage was superb - in fact the best we have ever stayed in. Not only was it comfortable and very well equipped but it was lovely to enjoy such delightful furniture and decor. With an easy walk to the High Street and access to the Cotswold Way the location was excellent. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone visiting Chipping Campden.
This is a wonderful home in one the most charming towns in the Cotswolds. Had everything we needed and felt wonderfully cozy - almost like home only better. Owners were great to work with and very prompt with any and all communication (even going extra to help return our chargers left behind by us after departing). Will definitely return for another visit.
Convenient, comfortable cottage in Chipping Campden with notable attention to detail in design. A lovely base from which to explore the village and the Cotswolds as a whole..
Really cosy cottage in heart of the village. Well appointed house with 3 good bedrooms and comfortable living room etc.
Friendly and accommodating host
All good
The Spring Cottage was a slice of heaven. So cozy and comfortable. The cottage was beautifully decorated, and a wonderful location to enjoy all of Chipping Camden and explore the Cotswolds.
We spent a week in this delightful, comfortable cottage and we were also able to enjoy the garden and eat in it as the weather was so good. The location in this quiet street is perfect - both for the town itself and for easy access to visit the other Cotswold towns and gardens.
We had a problem with the shower but this was dealt with immediately.
We highly recommend.
A perfect location for walking round the village and visiting other places. Beautiful cottage and everything there for a comfortable stay.
We hope to return another time.
This cottage is ideally situated within a few minutes stroll of the High Street with its own parking.
The cottage had everything you may need for a relaxing stay, lovely and warm with gas log burners to make it feel extra cosy and plenty of hot water.
Great value for money and Laurence was a perfect host.
This cute cottage was definitely the epitome of Cotswold charm - so many cute little windows and nooks and very pretty custom window treatments The neighborhood was perfect and we walked into town each night of our 3 night stay for a lovely local dinner. The shops, pubs and restaurants were great - Chipping Campden was just lovely - a wonderful experience. The house really is as cute as it gets and we took several pics from outside at night - looks like a postcard. You will need to bring all toiletries including toilet paper and handsoap and follow a few instructions sheets upon entry. Laurence was very responsive as we had no heat or hot water on our first night. We did get the fireplaces running and that helped with the heat and they looked lovely in the living room and kitchen. The mattresses were a problem for us - we switched rooms a couple times with each other but all the beds were rough. While the bed linens were all very nice - new mattress es would be a game changer. The upstairs shower is in the room with 2 twin beds for reference and the downstairs bath is just that - tub only with no spray wand - we did not use it all all but it was nice to have a second toilet and sink.We didn’t need a full kitchen - just a great hotpot which the house had but the kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans and very nice custom cabinetry.Thank you for sharing your home - it was a wonderful experience staying in Spring Cottage on Birdcage Walk!
What imagined staying in an English village
Beautiful, comfortable and ideal place to relax and enjoy. Everything went smoothly with check in and and plenty of space. Comfortable
It was truly an enjoyable time. We would highly recommend this property and the owners were very helpful
Our first trip to the Cotswolds. A perfect home base! Close to everything. We truly enjoyed the garden and the cottage was lovely! We enjoyed delicious meals at the red lion and the Luigi bistro. We enjoyed walking the neighborhood and admiring the beautiful homes and gardens. We bring home many fond memories in our hearts from this beautiful part of England!
We immediately fell in love with this cozy cottage! It is so lovingly and thoughtfully decorated and perfectly equipped. You feel that the owners use it themselves, as it has everything you might possibly need in the kitchen and in the rooms - we didn't miss a thing!
The property is perfectly situated in a quiet road, the Cotswolds Way runs opposite the cottage and invites for lovely walks. The centre of Chipping Campden is just a few footsteps away and offers a wide range of shops, pubs and restaurants. We explored the surrounding villages and landscapes and enjoyed every bit of it. In beautiful and sunny weather the Cotswolds invite to go for walks and enjoy the gorgeous villages, in rainy weather the cottage offers immensely cozy rooms to relax, read, take a bath, cook - and refresh your body and soul. Thanks a lot for a perfect stay, we'd love to come again!
I found this property to be the perfect country cottage. It was full of wooden beams, narrow hallways, hidden closets and beautiful antiques that oozed charm. Like something out of Harry Potter. Kitchen was well equipped and the furniture and beds were quite comfortable. The location great, an easy stroll into the town. Shower was a bit tight and could be a challenge for very large people.
This was a perfect location for exploring the north end of the Cotswolds. The 3 bedrooms and 2 baths make it easy to have some privacy when needed. Chipping Campden is lovely with great cafes, restaurants and shops all very close to the cottage. Owner responded to my emails quickly. A few things were hard for us Americans to figure out- there is a laundry drying rack that comes down from the entry ceiling with a pulley; the oven is a gas oven that lights like a grill; the washer/dryer combo was new to us. Appliance info is all there which was handy. Overall we were quite happy.
Our four night stay at this cottage was just perfect. The cottage oozes with character and is comfortable place to be after a day of sightseeing and or hill walking. We visited during a cool breezy and wet week in April and enjoyed coming “home” to a cozy fire and tea afternoon. The beds were comfortable, there is every possible amenity in the kitchen, and it was all spotless. The town is a perfect balance between not too busy but also not too sleepy. Delicious dinners and tea out in town as well as Dover Hill walk just out outside the front door. I would definitely stay again.
