A wonderful week in North Wales
I thoroughly recommend this lovely cottage. It is one of the few times we have stayed somewhere that really looked like it does in the pictures, if not better. The cottage is a lovely mix of traditional, but with modern comforts. The location is great allowing guests to visit the beach, go walking and many other activities. The hosts were very welcoming and happy to answer any questions or make recommendations.

A Fairy Tale vacation!!!
What an idyllic cottage, with the most gracious and loving hosts anyone could hope for!!! The setting was perfect… a beautifully restored carriage house with the perfect blend of coziness and refined taste. Quiet and secluded setting nestled in a beautiful valley with a river within a stone’s throw. Bed and linens so comfy, we slept like babies. We stayed a week and used the cottage as a launching point to multiple points of interest such as Isle of Anglesey, Conwy Castle, Snowdonia, Llewn Peninsula, Hay on Wye, to name a few places we visited. Highly recommend this wonderful vacation getaway!!! Thanks again Tony and Helen!!

Very relaxing break
Tony and Helen made us very welcome. Everything was made very easy to have a relaxing stay. The cottage is very well equipped and warm and cosy. Storm Babet meant the weather was especially wet, but this did not spoil the stay. Thank you.

Our stay in Wales
We had such a lovely time at Helen and Tony's place! Both of them were very welcoming to their rental and offered great suggestions for things to do in the area. Their rental was exactly as listed and we enjoyed the spaceous setup with our group of 4 adults and little one (under 2 years). She very much enjoyed listening to the sheep and seeing all the horses that were near by as well as all the things to explore nearby. We will definitely look to come back if we happen to be in the area again. Thank you so much!

Tranquil retreat
We just loved this cottage, spotless and well equipped for our stay in North Wales. Beautiful location lovely views, wished I had bought my binoculars, as we could hear the cry of birds of prey over the forest but too far away to see them clearly. Lovely walk along Lady Bagots Drive. The dog loved paddling in the river just below the foot bridge. Watch out for roaming pigs in the forest and friendly sheep in the field that come running to greet you. Great as a base to explore the area to be honest a week wasn’t long enough, so we hope to return soon. Helen and Tony are top notch hosts. So helpful and gave us pointers of what to see. The beds were really comfortable, no tossing and turning here for me with my dodgy hips!! Just a good nights sleep. If you want peace and tranquility this place could be for you. We have returned home much refreshed. Thank you.

Great two story cottage on a farm with sheep and horses. Loved the picket fenced backyard and the views of the valley. Easy access to the more dramatic mountains of Snowdonia and a great walk by the creek to town with a great pub or cafe.

Beautiful Hengoed Farm
Hengoed farm is the most perfect setting for rest and relaxation. The beds were cozy, the house was well appointed, and with everything we needed. Thank you for the tip about the wild garlic, the directions to the tea house, and showing how to operate the cooker.

Beautiful location, wonderful accommodation, fantastic hosts!
We had a fantastic break at this beautiful characteristic cottage. It's location is perfect, so many wonderful places to explore nearby. Such as the stunning views and walks around horseshoe pass, and horseshoe Falls. Great little historic villages. Ruthin village itself is a nice place to visit, full of history. And only a 1hr drive from Mount Snowdon. Overall we had an absolutely wonderful family break, and have made lots of memories. We're hoping to come back in the near future!

Christmas getaway with the family
Beautiful authentic cottage set in outstanding scenery a short drive from Ruthin. Warm and cozy, immaculately clean accommodation with the most kind and approachable hosts Helen & Tony. We spent 11 nights over Christmas and New Year with our family here and couldn’t have found a more comfortable accommodation. Nothing was too much trouble for Helen & Tony and we will return to what we consider the nicest holiday rental we have ever stayed in. Thank you so much 😊

Lovely, comfortable, cosy cottage in North Wales
We just loved this cottage. It was perfect - spotlessly clean, cosy, well-equipped with loads of character. Beds were super comfy too and the kitchen was really good to cook in . The tasty treats waiting for us were much appreciated and the hosts were brilliantly flexible on timings and with check-in (we arrived in the middle of the night) and were communicative and helpful hosts. We really loved all the care that had been taken with furnishings and cannot wait to return and explore more as we only had time for a fraction of the area. We are so lucky that we stumbled across this cottage.

Absolutely wonderful
Where to start. This is by far the best stay cation we have ever had. 1. The property- absolutely beautiful, outstandingly clean and welcoming. Feels like a home from home upon immediately entering. The property has so much space and the decor is absolutely lovely so in keeping with the property, lovely touch of cake on arrival and details of local area and dos and don't. The beds are so comfortable, everything you need for your stay. 2. The location, wow ! The views are literally incredible I cannot explain how breathtaking they are and the peacefulness is second to none. I lived watching the sheep and horses, local to everything absolutely superb. 3. The hosts.... wow what wonderful, kind, caring and guest focused people. Helen and Tony thankyou so very much for all of your help support and guidance, truly two of the most down to earth, lovely people we have ever met, thankyou we so hope we can come back next year to enjoy so much more.
