LOCAL BEACHES: SPEIGHTSTOWN BEACH and HEYWOODS BEACH on the West Coast are only a few minutes drive away from the apartment. There are no private beaches in Barbados, all are accessible to the public. SPEIGHTSTOWN BEACHES have access to free parking, sun-loungers, bars, cafes & restaurants. HEYWOODS BEACH has free parking and is wonderful for swimming. Take a boat ride to swim with the turtles or enjoy any of the watersports on offer. Mullins Beach with restaurant is a little further along the coast road. For stunning scenery, enjoy a leisurely drive along the EAST COAST road through Barclays Park to Bathsheba, take a picnic and enjoy the views!!

Wonderful stay!
Vuemont proved to be the perfect venue for our month-long visit to Barbados. Family were staying less than 10 minutes away and beaches were close by as well. We enjoyed easy access to all of the pools on site. Basic groceries could be purchased less than 5 minutes away by vehicle or within one-half hour for all of our grocery needs (larger supermarkets in Holetown and elsewhere). We spent considerable time travelling throughout the island. The property manager/agent quickly addressed a few minor issues and we would certainly recommend Vuemont to others.

Happy to be at Vuemont
Very good location apart from a baby next door which was very noisy at night and early in the morning (not the the baby's fault I know). Also security guard very close to the apartment who held long and loud telephone conversations at 3 am. The infinity pool was a joy although it was spoilt by a family of kids unsupervised by parents causing a lot of disruptive behaviour and being very rude on one occasion.

Wonderful house
The house is as in the announcement. It is big, very comfortable with a great veranda where you can stay a lot of time, even for dining. We had a problem with air conditioning during our stay immediatly solved by the property manager. We really enjoyed our time here. The house is in a very quiet place with 3 swimming pool reachable in 2 minutes walking. Wonderful solution in the north of Barbados

Lovely quiet apartment up in the hills
A great apartment, well looked after and well appointed. Very comfy. Contains everything you would want, including beach ‘kit’, food fans / air con, and spacious balcony with comfy furniture overlooking the pools and the view (with sea in the distance). The place is about 12-15 mins drive down the hill to the coast. Nearest being Speightstown. The 3 pools are great. Very quiet here almost saw / heard nobody all month.... Balcony does face the coast (North West ish), is shaded all day, but doesn’t catch the sunset. Lift was useful but erratic (worked about 80% of the time). If you want peace and quiet away from the coast in a lovely apartment, then this is the place!

Great location and views of countryside and ocean
First time we stayed in this area, but knew it was close to areas we were interested in, like Holetown, Bathsheba, etc. This gated community is an oasis where you can relax and enjoy the sights and sounds around you, watch the monkeys, pools a little cool this time of year (January) but we were in every day regardless, quite refreshing. Nice beaches close by. Staff very helpful and friendly and the owners James and Judith were very responsive. Unit was clean and well appointed as advertised. Great balcony to overlook the community and beyond. Would return again.

Beautiful Barbados!
The condo was just as pictured, everything you need for a relaxing vacation. The condo is not far from any destination, as the island itself is pretty small...the gated community puts on a happy hour on Monday nights at the community pool/clubhouse area- we had a very nice time talking with the residents and learned a lot about the island from locals there- definitely recommend!! Judith was very quick to respond by email and Danny the manager was very nice. We would go back and rent here again.

We were born and still live in Bristol and love this vibrant city. I work in social housing and James is a medical engineer, we like to travel and experience different cultures. My husband is an avid rugby fan and follows Bristol Rugby we both enjoy watching tennis and attempting to play.

Why they chose this property

We have been coming to Barbados for over 20 years, as my parents were from the island. We came across Vuemont when it was being developed in 2008 and we fell in love with it. We looked at this very same apartment then, but it was already sold. 10 years later it came back on the market and we snapped it up.
Vuemont is a mixture of vacation and residential properties, which means locals mix with tourists.
It's 10 minutes drive from some of the best restaurants and beaches on the west coast and if you play golf there are some of the best courses in the world on your doorstep.
We like the easy access to the gym and tennis court on site, and some evenings we just watch the sunset from our veranda or the hot tub at the club house.

What makes this property unique

If you are looking to get away from it all, but not be too far all Barbados has to offer, this is the place.
The location means that with transport you can easily enjoy the west coast's calm Caribbean sea and the wild east coast with its great local food and dramatic scenery.
