Me and my 3 sisters had a lovely 2 night stay. The beds were comfy and the bedding smelt lovely. The appartment had everything we needed. Graham was a great host, answered any queries quickly and was lovely even when the key broke off in the lock! Supplied delicious fish and chip supper on our first evening.
This is a very quirky building with different floor levels and lots of narrow stairs and low beams so would not suit anyone with mobility issues.
It was a great base to explore from. Would recommend a visit to Three Choirs vineyard for delicious wine and tapas and we had a lovely cream tea at Hellens, both a short drive away.
Wonderful Host and a great place to stay to explore the surrounding area.
Kitchen well equipped and comfortable beds.
Graham was a wonderful host providing with us an excellent Fish Supper on our first night as a treat from him to us.
Would recommend staying here.
Many thanks Graham
Excellent stay , we were competing at Malvern spring show and good base.
We were very well looked after by Graham. Surprise Prosecco and fish and chips , delicious.
Good spacious apartment over chip shop, very comfortable and just what we wanted .
Will recommend to others . Thank you for making us so welcome.
Graham was a wonderful host who did all he could to make our stay brilliant. Newent may not be the first place you think of for a holiday, but the town has a nice feel to it and there is plenty to do within a short drive.
Great property and host, lovely area with lots to see/do
Stayed at Graham's property for two nights with a group of friends. The flat was immaculate and well laid-out with big bedrooms, comfortable beds and lots of space in the living/dining room. Graham is a great host and was always on hand to help throughout our stay with recommendations on places to visit/eat out and complimentary fish & chips from the Tudor Chippy downstairs! Newent and the surrounding area is very picturesque and there's plenty to see/do for all interests - walks/market towns etc. Can highly recommend the property and the area and hope to return in the future.
We booked a longer stay after suffering lockdown, and really enjoyed getting away. The flat was in a really good position in Newent which is well appointed and near to a number of other nice places to visit. Everything worked and was clean and tidy, and we couldn't have asked for a friendlier host. Graham even sent a helpful list of things to do and places to go.
Hopefully we'll be able to visit again soon!
Spacious, well equipped, characterful, excellent location and delicious fish and chips! It's over a fish and chip shop in the middle of Newent but it's not noisy or smelly, and parking is easy. Newent has plenty of shops and eateries and is a small, pretty town with excellent access to the Forest of Dean, Wye Valley, Gloucester, and even Hereford. Highly recommended.
