Heart of Port Royal/minutes to Sands Beach/Parris Island and Historic Beaufort

This Duplex is beautifully decorated and furnished with a guests comfort in mind. Located on a corner complete with its own entrance, porch and patio, this Duplex was designed and insulated so you never know the owner is next door. The kitchen is well stocked with all you need to make a Thanksgiving dinner, including a Margarita Machine. The front porch encourages “front porch sitting” to watch the friendly neighbors go by.
This home is 2 bedroom 2.5 bathrooms. All bedrooms are located upstairs with their own on-suite. There is a TV in the living room as well as each Bedroom. The master has a king bed and the 2nd bedroom has a queen size bed. This home sleeps 6 as There is a sleeper in the living room

The Palmetto Moon Cottage is located in the Heart of Port Royal, a wonderful walking community. Close to water and a wonderful walking/biking trail

Cutest place to stay!

This was a super clean, convenient and cute place! We were in town for a Marine basic graduation. When we weren’t on base, which was super close, it was a great place to relax. Very well stocked with kitchen supplies and anything else you could need. We walked to the beach and found shark teeth, had great ice cream on the walk back. I did have to email and request check in information and then there was some confusion with addresses and door codes information between that and the text I got but I figured it out quickly. They were fast to respond.

Everything you need …

The cottage is exceptionally well-equipped with every possible kitchen item you might need including spices. There were extra hangers provided, as well as cleaning supplies, games, puzzles, and books. The owner was very accommodating and attentive as well as being friendly!

Charming Temporary Stay: Perfect Location, Clean Home, Safe Area!

We recently moved to the area and stayed at this rental for a month while looking for a home. The location was perfect, the house was clean, and the area was safe! Our experience couldn't have been more positive. We wholeheartedly recommend it!

Duplex property

We had an OK stay in this rental. The location is nice and surrounding area easily walkable. This property is a duplex . The description lists it as an entire house, but truly, it's a duplex with shared walls, which normally I wouldn't rent. It's mentioned that the homeowner lives "next door" rather than stating it's a duplex. Also, the pictures on VRBO show a cute secluded patio with red umbrella and nice patio furniture, but that area was not at all as pictured. It was more of a storage area and not set up for use, so a bit disappointing. That was one of the reasons we chose this rental. Other posted pictures of the house also are not updated, although the interior was generally fine. Just not as pictured. I had a business meeting and the internet connectivity wasn't great, so I'd suggest finding an alternative location if you have a virtual meeting. Small details like several burned out lightbulbs and several missing rods on the window blinds, making them difficult to open & close were noted. Overall, our stay was OK...but a little different than previous places I've rented.

Red Door Rental - Palmetto Moon Cottage

Family Vacation

This was our first year staying in house instead of a hotel. We loved it!!!! The past 4 years we have traveled to Port Royal/Beaufort for vacation. This property is in walking distance of a few of our favorite things! The Sands Beach is no more than 2 minutes away. The Fish Camp on 11th (resturant right on the water; a must try) is right around the corner. Everything went smooth. Sally was an awesome host and so kind.

Awesome, Restful week!!!

What a fun stay! The owner met us upon arrival and made sure we were settled in, then just let us know that she was available if needed. The house was spotless and big enough for our family to enjoy a week of R&R. Centrally located in Port Royal Proper, getting around was so much fun with the golf cart we rented locally. Restaurants were all around us and many were in walking distance. There is a new Brewery just a block from the home. The Sands and boardwalk were just a short cart ride away and provided hours of relaxation (and there is a local beer garden there as well. We had a great time and will definately stay again! Thanks.

Great Place at a Reasonable Price

We stayed at Palmetto Cottage to be in close proximity to Parris Island MCRD for graduation. The location was in a very quiet neighborhood within walking distance of a couple of restaurants. The neighborhood was a wonderful place to take strolls, and the walk to town was reasonable. The cottage itself was comfortable for 5 adults, and well furnished and clean. I would definitely recommend this property to anybody visiting the area.

Wonderful stay

Sally was an excellent host and her cottage was beyond better than our expectations. The house easily accommodated my wife and I, our 16 year old daughter, and my mother in law while we were attending our daughters marine graduation. We made a week out of it and had a wonderful time at the beach, shops, and excellent southern food restaurants! Most evenings were relaxing on the covered front deck. I would recommend Sally’s cozy beautiful cottage to anyone staying in the area.

Cutest costal town in SC

We are in love with Port Royal! The property was comfortable, clean, and private. Great walking distance to shops, restaurants, the sands, and nature trails. The Spanish Moss is also accessible right across Ribaut Rd. Perfect place for a weekend getaway!

Amazing !!

We stayed at this property to attend the graduation of our Grandson from Parris Island. The location was in a quiet neighborhood and was quiet. The drive to PI was only about 10 minutes and we could walk to Restaurants. The check in and out process was great. The owners are near by and there for any questions or concerns. I would highly reccomed this property.

Perfect for Parris Island

If you’re looking for something CLOSE to base, this is less than 10 minutes. The town of Port Royal was so nice and had plenty of amenities close by.

Everything We Expected and More

We had a wonderful stay here for our son's graduation from USMC Parris Island. The home is sweetly decorated with every attention to detail, the welcome sign a nice touch helping us feel at home. The location was perfect, just a short drive to PI. It was very clean and kept beautifully. Sally was great to work with. Thank you for providing a comfortable place to call home while we picked up our new Marine.

Great place to stay!

Great Location. Was only minuets to Paris Island. The area is great and house is in an excellent location. We were able to walk to the 11th st. Fish camp which is a great restaurant and well as walk to a few others. House was clean and well stocked with dishes and glasses. Port Royal is a very nice community.

Very nice place

Very nice place for a relaxing getaway from everything and I mean everything really not near anything a little look out that they call a beach in walking distance but a hour drive from the actual beach but worth it to drive over all it was great for the price of the house and we do prefer to be in the middle of nobody but a short drive to food and stores

I've stayed in my Palmetto Moon Cottage, after I turned it into a Vacation home, as I wanted to see if it had everything a guest could need. I live next door. I personally take care of all aspects of this Vacation Home and I believe it shows in all the small details.
