Over we had a great week at the beach house. The pool was heated, had a short walk to the beach, and it had a nice side yard for the kids to play in. We had a few issues during our stay but the owner was very responsive and got it all fixed right away. Our only complaint about the house is it is listed as a 4 bedroom and it is a 2 bedroom- with 2 queen beds. The others listed are couches and a blow up mattresse. Doesnt provide much privacy for multiple families vacationing together.
We really enjoyed our stay. The location was great, near the beach, and very close to a grocery store. My children loved riding the bikes that were provided as well as enjoyed the heated pool every day! We would definitely stay again!
Property was perfect. We did have some small issues with the electronic locks but it was sorted quickly. The maintenance person is near by and east to reach
Such a lovely home. Clean! Great neighborhood location. Close to the beach. Wonderful canal spot with a bench for watching boats and wildlife. The pool was clean and private! Owner was very attentive and helpful. We would definitely stay again!

Beware
The TV in the bedroom did not work nor did the main TV in the living room. The pool screen was torn and the mosquitoes were in the pool area. The door to the pool area had to be left open so a hose could be run in there to fill the pool daily. My main issue is I was never told there would be a stranger staying on the property the same time my family was there. He was staying in the basement. We got there Sunday and then Thursday late night a man was walking up on the property and at that time when he was questioned about his presence we were informed he was the owner and had been staying in the basement all week because all his houses were rented. I had kids on the property and was very very upset to find this out! I have used VRBO for a long time and rented several properties and have never posted a negative review on any of them. I was very disappointed in the representation of this property versus actual property! Very upset about a stranger staying in the basement without me or my husband being aware prior to that he was there in the basement of a private home!

Older home but still well maintained. Shaded pool its best asset!
This home is located on a friendly, quiet street mid-island so we avoided the highly touristy north area. It is next to the last house on the street near the bay side. There is a long pier with a bench close where my wife and I spent many evenings watching the parade of boats go by. It is also an easy walk the other way to the beach. (Road construction at the moment restrains easier access but that should be done by next year.) The pool and landscaping are the home's best assets. Since the location is older the grounds and old shade trees protect little ones swimming in the heated pool from the hot sun.
The house is at least 40 years old but is in good condition. The driveway can accommodate two parked cars. The front entrance is up a flight stairs through a porch and then into a kitchen. The kitchen has new appliances that served us well . (The house is also near a well stocked Publix grocery.) The greatest handicap to meals is you are limited to a table on the porch that seats four or everyone eating around a coffee table. There is a table for two and an eat bar with four stools but both get in the way of the traffic flow.
There are two bath rooms and two bed rooms each with a queen bed and flat screen TV. (There is another large flat screen in the living room). The beds are comfortable. A couple of table lamps would be nice.
The house is Air Conditioned and heated. However, when one evening the outside temperature turned cold and we switched from AC to heating, several smoke alarms well off! The guest bathroom is adequate but needs remodeling. The property description says it sleeps 8 but that is stretching it a bit. Four to six can be accommodated but the house's seating limits constrain any more. The living room has a number of low sofas that makes anyone with back problems scream for mercy. There needs to be more comfortable chairs for evening relaxing.
We suffered only a couple minor inconveniences but the new property manager was most attentive. Still we got what we paid for---warm weather and plenty of water and sunshine.

Didn't get what we paid for...
Overall we had a good time but when compared with the cost of this particular property we feel like we got taken a bit. To start off we booked late for the holidays and this was one of the few rentals remaining (hmm...). We paid WAY too much to stay here but were happy to find a place with a heated pool that the family could enjoy in the cool December evenings. The home is a bit strange with two of the "four" bedrooms being what appear to be converted porches. Both rooms were hot during the day and a little too cold at night. We also found the door to the pool stuck open by a garden hose left running. Because of this the pool was full of leaves and bugs and we spent some time upon arrival attempting to clean it up enough to use. We gave up after a while and just decided to jump in. Wow... 60 degree water! So much for the "heated" pool. I left a voicemail on the after hours number and we all sat in the screen room until someone asked why we were all sitting in total darkness. We searched the walls for a light switch but there apparently isn't any electricity or lighting in that pretty screened pool. I concluded that was because the pool light was supposed to come on and illuminate the entire room with a lovely blue glow at night. It must be really nice because on our first night it was just a dirty, cold, dark hole. We all went to bed a little disappointed that night and every night because the pool was unusable after about 6PM. The next morning around 10AM the pool guy shows up and does a great job cleaning the pool. He even asked if we would like to turn up the temperature to 85... sure would! And how about that pool light? He looked at the light and pointed out that it was half full of water and hadn't worked for quite some time. No idea why it had never been fixed. I just shook my head and tipped the guy. It only took another 48 hours for the pool to get warm enough to swim in. At around 4PM each day the pool heater turned off and we had a "clean", dark hole to sit around. Among other things that we were disappointed with...
1. Had to call agency again due to dryer not coming on
2. Curb trash cans were already full upon arrival.
3. "flipper" property with many very cheap, DIY looking projects including the shower enclosure that doesn't close, no lock on one bathroom door, extremely loud AC unit stuffed in the master closet, cheap vanity top (cracked when someone leaned on it while brushing their teeth $500) No thanks!!!

Tropical Paradise
After an 11 week stay we were not ready to leave! This home is located on a quiet, residential, mid-island street, one house from the bay, on a tropical double lot filled with palm trees and beautiful foliage, with a very easy walk to the beach and nearby grocery. The heated pool is exceptionally nice, at a constant 85 degree temperature which we enjoyed on nearly a daily basis. The interior of the home is nicely decorated and very comfortable, with recent upgrades as the kitchen appliances and TVs were new. It is well equipped with everything necessary for a short or an extended stay. During our stay we had the pleasure of meeting the homeowner, Michael, and during our visit could tell he genuinely wants his guests' stay to be enjoyable and comfortable. All of the neighbors on the street, whom we passed every day on the way to the beach, were so friendly and welcoming. If you are looking for a beautiful home with a short walk to the beach and grocery, and a friendly atmosphere you will definitely want to check out this home. We hope to be able to return in the future!

Perfect Getaway
This beautiful home was the perfect place to spend spring break. There was plenty of space for 7 of us to live together hassle-free. Complete with TV, bluetooth speakers, a pool table, and a pool area, the house provided plenty of comfort and entertainment on its own. However, its location provides access to even more. By crossing one road, you arrive at a quiet beach with white sand that travels miles in either direction. A "downtown" area with restaurants and shops is a manageable 2.5 mile walk down the road, but there is also a grocery store 4 blocks away if you wanted to utilize the complete kitchen space in the home. For the nature enthusiast, Lover's Key State Park is a short trolley ride away. There is plenty to do in the area, and this house is the perfect place to come home to afterwards.

Great family house with all the necessities and them some!!
This was a perfect place for our multi-family vacation! It has the benefits of a quiet neighborhood but is also close walking distance to the beach and grocery. The house had everything we wanted and needed for our stay. We highly recommend this house for your next visit to Ft Myers Beach!
