This Stunning apartment is set high on the Thracian cliffs overlooking the Black Sea.
The apartment has been built to a high standard, along with the rest of the complex. The apartment is on the top floor, consisting of two large bedrooms, two bathrooms (one is en-suite), open plan lounge, with a kitchen diner incorporated. The lounge has a sofa bed large enough for two adults. Then there is the balcony, where you can relax with a drink overlooking the main pool & the black sea. There are 5 pools to choose from, two of which are very large. Around the main pool there is a bar, and a daily BBQ at lunch*.
The complex also offers a free shuttle down to the beach, where towels and loungers can be hired. There is a very reasonably priced bar & restaurant on the beach, offering fresh food & a variety of drinks. There are also serval water activities to choose from (payable locally).
There are three very good golf courses close by, one of which you can see from the resort (Thracian Cliffs).
Thracian Cliffs Golf & spa resort:
This course now boasts the 2nd most scenic golf course in the world -
Framed by rugged coastal cliffs and the vast blue of the Black Sea, the 18-hole Gary Player designed Signature course at Thracian Cliffs is one of the most dramatic golf courses on earth.
Dining:
El Balcon del Mundo:
El Balcon del Mundo will greet you with the warm glow of its onyx bar and burning flames at night time. Inspired by the elements of nature, the Mediterranean atmosphere will satisfy all your senses. The menu is seasonal and presents a great selection of seafood and fine dishes from different parts of the world, along with the best examples of Bulgarian traditional specialties. The excellent prime quality beef is a must for the meat lovers.
We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as drinks, cocktails and light snacks in the lounge area. As the restaurant is considered by many to be the best on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, reservations during week-ends and high season are essential. Opening hours: 07.30 – 24.00
Turquoise Bistro:
A child friendly restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere, the Turquoise Bistro serves contemporary and traditional Bulgarian cuisine along with international classics such as Wiener Schnitzel, burgers, pasta, pizza and charcoal BBQ.
Open for dinner only 18.30 – 24.00.
If neither of the onsite restaurants take your fancy, you could always hop in a taxi down to the small town of Balchik. At Balchik there are a vast number of restaurants and bars along the seafront, but you can also head inland where the food prices will be a little cheaper.
If you just want to stay on the complex and make your own food, there is an onsite shop offering: a variety of meats, fresh fruit & vegetables, beer & wine, water etc. It is slightly more expensive than the supermarkets in the town of Kavarna, but very convenient.
I would recommend car hire whilst staying here, as there are so many nice places for you to go visit. Cape Kaliakria for instance, at the right time of year dolphins can be visible from the headland. There are also serval activities that can be organised with reception, such as quad biking, cycle hire, archery and jeep tours.
On the drive down to Balchik, there is a small shooting range that has very good prices, should you be interested in doing such an activity.
