Great Stay in Ferron
This beautifully renovated house was the perfect spot to stay while exploring the area. I recommend renting the whole house if you need more than one bathroom. It was very clean and Merlin was great to work with.

Great host. Charming house.
Everything was just as described. The bed was super comfortable and the kitchen spacious. Having a full size washer and dryer was useful (especially if you’re playing hard in Utah’s Swell where it’s easy to get dusty.) An added attraction: delicious poppy seed bread was there to welcome us.

Like home
This property felt welcoming and clean. Nice linens and beautiful natural light. There were lots of notes around to answer questions about kitchen, laundry, bath. Lovely comfy furniture and well-stocked kitchen (and a nearby store for grocery necessities). I would suggest being clear if you plan to use all their beds. They seemed annoyed and assumed I had brought an extra person (single mom, the extra adult was one of my children).

Another great stay
Second year I have stayed for an extended vacation here. I came because of how great it was the first year. I wasn't disappointed. Great hosts, clean home. Everything I expect when I'm on vacation.

Well-managed, spacious and comfortable.
Very well-managed and spacious accommodation. Cooking meals in the well-equipped kitchen was easy. Our family of three had lots of room. This was the perfect place to serve as our launching pad for climbing and hiking adventures in Utah!

Lovely home
This lovely clean home that is owned by the most caring people sits in the middle of a huge recreation area. The wrap-around porch overlooks the lush manicured lawn. The living room has a large smart TV (limited basic cable) with a beautiful fireplace, so cozy. The large kitchen with nice tile has everything you could need, large refrigerator was a plus along with the washer/dryer. The bed was the best mattress I have ever slept on! This home is so well cared for and a lot of work was put into it. You have the mountains to the west and the desert to the east, less than 8 miles and you are in either place. Gas and groceries are across the street. A good small museum is just north 10 miles. We stayed for 1 week hiking and exploring. Will be back, so much to see.

Spacious, comfortable house with a well-equipped kitchen. Thoroughly enjoyable experience!
This place really was the "cherry on top" to our climbing trip to Joe's Valley. It was nice to be able to use the fully equipped kitchen after a hard day's climbing to make a proper meal. The BBQ was also nice to have! The place came with a large smart TV with access to Netflix. The bed was King size and very comfortable. Quiet neighbourhood and only around a 20 minute drive to Joe's Valley. The owner, Merlin, was very nice to deal with and allowed us some flexibility on our dates of stay with no penalty. Grocery store within walking distance. Overall a very comfortable and affordable place to recover after climbing days on some of the best boulders in the country. Our only regret was not bringing some friends along to share the experience with as the place sleeps 6.

Perfect Quiet Thanksgiving Weekend with the Fam
Loved staying in this beautiful home for our Thanksgiving break. Thoroughly enjoyed the quiet town and not having to go anywhere or do anything. My boys appreciated the smart TV and being close to the park, I liked the large kitchen and fridge to prepare our feast. Owners were great to work with and we will definitely stay again if the opportunity comes up.

I had a wonderful time with family and friends at this quaint home in Ferron UT. Soft bed linens, ample space, Free COFFEE... all things that bring a smile to my face. We are east coast transplants in Salt Lake City and love to get away and enjoy the picturesque open spaces Utah has to offer. Just 2.5 hours away we found this GEM. We wanted to spend a relaxed Labor Day Weekend and that is exactly what we did. Woke up every morning to brew a fresh pot , of complimentary coffee and I could hardly wait for the coffee machine to finish brewing went I was running towards the front porch to sit and chew the fat , with family and friends... all morning long !!! I cannot wait to come back in a few months to experience all this home has to offer , in the winter months. Highly Recommended. Merlin was a gracious host and the homemade poppy seed bread was a special touch !!! See you soon. Frankie

Great house, great owners
Nicely restored old house with a great deal of charm, right in the middle of a quiet small town. The owners were attentive (the homemade bread was a great touch) and easily available for questions. We will definitely return if we are ever staying in Emery County again.

I had my eye on the Nielsen House for some time, so when it came available I bought it quickly. My wife and I spent a long time cleaning and remodeling it. Although we've never lived in it our family is extremely attached to it. We love hosting guests and now we have the chance to share the home with visitors.
