Beautiful, rustic one bedroom cabin located in acres of woods on a lively tidal salt pond. Ten minutes from cultural Blue Hill with its offerings of music, theater, dining, brew pub and art galleries. Near Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park and Deer Isle. Enjoy kayaking and swimming. Please sign the liability waiver if you use our kayaks. We have a swim dock with a ladder that has a ramp from the shore. The water was in the 70's this summer. Sunsets, abundant bird life and cool ocean breezes can be appreciated from the deck, outdoor shower, fire pit, or hammock . It is quiet and peaceful!

My son and I had the best time here! We instantly felt right at home when we walked in and sitting outside will have you feeling like you stepped into a painting. Looking forward to coming back.. we already miss it!
We simply loved our fall getaway at Piney Home. The cabin is small but sufficient for two and very well equipped for guests. Conveniently located to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Lots of hiking trails in the area. Ended several nights sitting around a campfire taking in the sunset over the water.
Driving the long road to piney, we could feel the mysticism of the forest overcoming us. As we rounded the last corner, the palace of pleasure revealed itself, atop the salted water cliffs. The end
My stay at Piney Home with my chihuahua was wonderful. Arriving the first day, the salt pond beyond the cottage nearly brought me to tears. How lucky that I got a whole week to gaze out at the fog, birds, seaweed and tidal flats fir a whole week. Lovely to be so close to the Schoodic peninsula. Wonderful tidepooling and swimming at the Blue Hill Falls bridge area. Well stocked house, simple but well curated. Thank you!
Our stay at the Piney Home was exactly what was needed. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the stay and the location was perfect for us, secluded in the woods with a beautiful view of Salt pond. It was so nice to get unplugged in peace and quiet for several days.
Perfect place for a private getaway. Loved the views of the salt pond, the cute little cottage with everything we could need, the outdoor shower, all of it.
Staying at Piney home was an amazing experience! The pullout sofa, comfy linens and duvet were an extra bonus in addition to the other special touches that the hosts also provided. This listing offers access to a uniquely serene spot. I hope to return again.
Having vacationed in Maine numerous times I can attest that this property and host are an exceptional place with great owners. Location and scenery are quintessential Maine and it’s located perfectly between mid-coast and down east attractions, but you hate to leave because the view out every window is stunning and the setting is quiet and secluded.
We were very happy for our week in this beautiful cozy cabin. We were grateful for the many thoughtful extras provided by the hosts.
The Salt Pond is a very special location.
This experience was beautiful, serene, and a real treat. Views were incredible, wonderful owner, great communication. Quiet and scenic but close to everything. 10/10 location. You will not want to leave! Everything is as depicted but way better. Best rental experience ever.
All my wife and I can say is this trip ranked at the top of our travels and the Piney Home cabin made the stay more special. The quaint cabin and extraordinary setting was just what we love. We will be back again.

Our family bought this property as undeveloped land and have had fun building a quiet vacation retreat. We live year round in Blue Hill.
What makes this property unique
I think you will enjoy the water, the bird life and the quiet here. Blue Hill is popular in the summer for its vacation opportunities. Explore a National Park with hiking and biking. Take a ferry to Isle au Haut for the day.
